Benares in London's Berkeley Square occupies a large, well-designed space. It is perfect for business meetings and intimate conversations. It has a well-stocked bar. The food was top-notch Indian/Halal.

Benares London Food was absoloutely exquisite - would thoroughly recommend the soft shell crab, apple tart tatin and chocolate peanut butter desserts Cocktails were delicious too. Service very attentive but not overly so However save this restaurant for a special occasion - the food is worth every penny but comes with a hefty price tag!!

Service was good, but could've been quicker. Food was excellent, every dish we tried wowed with their combination of flavours. Good value too, I've spent more for less at Gauchos.

s was my first visit to Benares in Mayfair. I very much enjoyed the food, but there wasn't a great deal of it, and it was expensive.

the tasting menu was fantastic, the salmon was to die for ... the staff were fantastic started at 8.30pm left at 00.30 a happy as larry!

Benares Excellent food. Brilliant service. Wonderful atmosphere.

Dinner at Benares, London. As ever, this was a huge pleasure. Great bar - generous cocktails. Menu always holds some exciting options - the soft-shell crab particularly delicious. Impeccable service. My husband has an intolerance to dairy and this was handled superbly - no sooner had we mentioned it to the waiter than the amuse-bouche arrived already changed to accommodate him. Classy.

Benares,London, all round excellent, food delicious, service superb, cocktails expensive.

Benares serves beautifully presented food though portions could be a little bigger. Desserts were rather bland too. The Toptable offer is good - 3 courses and cocktail for £35.

Banares, Mayfair, London. Although the set menu was limited to 3 dishes per course. the quality was excellent.

Amazing restaurant!!! And amazing food!!! The experience was just brilliant!! Excellent service!! Very attentive! They make you feel sooo welcomed- table layout was perfect- you are not tooo close to everyone- and can have your own privacy! Just wonderful! Can’t wait to go back!

Attentive service and modern atmosphere. However, one must be warned that it is Indian inspired food rather than Indian cuisine. It is more "fusion" as you are meant to order individual plates rather than sharing. The food was far from spicy and actually a bit tame. It's a good place for business dinners particularly for people unfamiliar with Indian cuisine and/or afraid of a little heat.

Lovely decor at Benares and food was very good. Service was very prompt!

Excellent, excellent, excellent. Me and my friends were looking forward to eating at Benares and were not dissapointed. As soon as you walk in the door, you know you're in for a treat. Staff were great, really professional and amiable and nothing was too much trouble. We went on the TT offer which gives you a choice three starters, mains and desserts which you would have thought would have been easy to choose from but wasn't, we wanted it all. Food was amazing and we would definitely go back.

We enjoyed a very special lunch at Benares, the food was lovely and the service excellent. We cannot fault it and would highly recommend.

Group of 6 people, had the tasting menu for £79, delicious food - 9 different tastes + 3 deserts. Maybe a bit too mixed, lamb chop a little disappointing, duck not impressive, but great experience overall.

I went to Benares in Mayfair on a Saturday night with a couple of friends. While we were waiting for our table to be ready, we sat at the bar and ordered drinks. I had a gin based drink infused with tea and lemon which was very good. The food I found it very tasty but still delicate. Presentation of the food and service is impeccable. The ambience is understated but I would expect it to be more quiet. overall it's been a very good experience and I would certainly recommend it.

Dont often feel as compelled to write a review but Benares was sensational. Set menu offered lots of variety and is very good value not withstanding all the little extras in between courses. Great service and ambience made this a truly fantastic evening.

Benares was a lovely evening, but surprisingly casual and simple for a Michelin starred restaurant. We had a jice meal and it was a good value offer, but I don't think I would ever return.

We were actually pretty disappointed. First of all they did not have a record of our booking, even though I had an email confirmation. Wow, it was expensive there, ie. £18 for starters, £30 + for mains, sides between £8 - £12. I like good restaurants but I did not feel the food and service justified the price. IF you do go, I certainly wouldn't go when you are REALLY hungry as you will not be full after dining there! Wine list OK, but again, VERY expensive (£15 for a glass of bog standard white)
