About Blueprint Café

Blueprint Café restaurant located in London’s Design Museum offers spectacular views of the London skyline from Tower Bridge, the Tower of London and the Swiss Re building in the West, sweeping across and along the Thames to Canary Wharf in the East. In fact, the Blueprint Café provides each table with a pair of binoculars to get a closer look at the view – or spy on the warehouse flats opposite. As you would expect of a restaurant in a museum devoted to design, aesthetics are important here and every detail is attended to, from the stylish seating to the well-designed cutlery and place settings. The dining room at the Blueprint Café riverside restaurant is light, simple and unfussy and its interior provides an ideal backdrop to the Blueprint Café’s acclaimed European cooking. Chef Mark Jarvis is devoted to seasonality in his modern European menu served with a deft hand. Come see for yourself.

Blueprint Cafe, London Bridge: good location, very nice window table with a great view of Tower Bridge and down the river towards Canary Wharf, attentive waiting staff early in the evening. Food average and even with TT deal the bill came to 30 odd pounds a head (just through 2 courses, glass of wine each and coffee). Plates nicely presented, portions adequate, touch over seasoned. Location terrific but can't quite compensate for price.

World class food, matched with gracious and professional service and, of course, wonderful views. Professionals in an age of amateurs. Two visits ... exceeded expectations on each occassion. A not-to-be-missed experience.

Great views, good service and good food - the fish was cooked perfectly. The set menu was good value but I would say the a la carte is overpriced.

Blueprint Cafe, 28 Shad Thames, London. Great view, very welcoming on arrival and thoroughly enjoyed everything that was presented to us, particularly the fish (Road Cod with Razor Clams and Sea Bream). Good service and we were welcome to linger for quite some time finishing our coffes and chatting away for half the afternoon! Wine cost could notch down just a little bit but will go back again without doubt.

The food at the Blueprint Cafe was very tasty, if in slightly small portions, and was good value with the rewards menu. Great view, of course, and good service. Having been once, not sure that I would return, but enjoyed the dinner this time.

We had a lovely lunch at Blueprint Cafe. The place is beautiful with great views of the river and the food was great. Would definitely recommend it.

I have been to the restaurant a few times now and always have been very impressed by the quality of the food and service. However I was bitterly disappointed today. I had the lunch deal at the Blueprint Cafe today, and had to wait 45 minutes between my starter and main, which extended my lunch to over two hours!!! I The staff was not sympathetic. This is a real shame as I absolutely loved the food and this is one of my favuorite places in London.

Blueprint cafe has a great location on the Southbank. On Saturday night it was quieter than expected. Service was very good as was the food. Good value with toptable

Perfect place for a date, beautiful view, service was excellent and food was amazing!

We went Blueprint Cafe for Saturday lunch. The view was fantastic from the wide window. The service was good but we felt it was a little slow. The food was okay but not paticulary great.

Fantastic food, service and location. Great view for an early evening early summer dinner watching the sun go down over the City.

Really nice food - good size servings. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Nice atmosphere and fantastic view!

Great views and food was very well prepared

Blueprint Cafe offers stunning views, a real London location and a decent set menu though standard a la carte if you go for that. More comfortable as a brunch/lunch venue for me.

Lovely views, attentive staff. Would be especially nice in the evening when city lights can be seen. Ambience of restaurant itself is ok, but is missing a little something, perhaps warmth? We got the two course deal, which was good value. Relatively small serves but the food was very well cooked and the desert (coffee cream pot) was divine.

Great views. Decent value fixed price menus. Pricier cocktails but well made.

Lovely location riverside. The service can be slow at lunch time. The rhubarb pie was not up to standards, but this did not blemish a very nice lunch.

Blueprint Cafe, London Bridge (Design Museum)

Lovely view with good discreet service, which I like. We went for 2 course offer, a choice of starter (bluecheese salad / pork liver patte) and main (mint resotto / chiken leg), While the food was very good, the portion was not very big. The choice of starter was tricky as I didn't care for bluecheese or liver. With additional side and water, ended up £20 each. It's a nice place to sit back and relax, taking your time sipping wine

Food good value for money, but had run out of one of the two main courses on the set menu - chicken was substituted for duck, but with original accompaniments, which didn't really work. Had also run out of the wine we wanted.

The venue was very elegant and posh. The food was pleasing for my taste buds. The views on the Thames were magnificent. I only wish there was some quiet music background - this would add to the atmosphere.
