About Boisdale of Belgravia

Situated in an elegant Regency townhouse moments from Buckingham Palace, Boisdale of Belgravia is a Scottish restaurant fit for a laird. Decorated in masculine red and grey with, of course, bold tartan upholstered seating, Boisdale has a comfortable but chic look which doubtlessly appeals to Belgravia’s moneyed locals. With a number of spaces, including the atrium roofed Macdonald Bar, the lovely Courtyard Garden, and the comfortable Cigar Terrace, Boisdale of Belgravia really is suitable for any occasion from romantic diners to drinks with colleagues. Packed with excellent Scottish ingredients, the Boisdale menu offers a creative and delicate take on traditional Caledonian cuisine including superb Aberdeen Angus steaks with a choice of side dishes.

Good food and service, but rather disappointed that the waiter knew nothing about the offer which was the basis of my booking. Consequently the bill was considerably higher than it should have been.

Went to Boisdale of Belgravia on what I thought would be a quiet Tuesday night. I was wrong. I was sat right in front of the jazz player which wasn't really conducive to conversation. Service was poor- we waited at least 15 minutes before our waitress noticed we were there to bring us our menu. It took us ages to get her attention to pay as well. The food was good, but not good enough for me to want to go back and be ignored by the waiting staff.

Overall a pretty good experience. The set menu is good value and the food is good. The service was quick, if a little brusque at times. Good place for lunch

Boisdale of Belgravia is a lovely restaurant by Victoria station. The deal of £ 19.50 for two courses and a glass of bucks fizz is great. The food was delicious and there was plenty of it. Couldn't have fitted in dessert even if we tried. Lovely atmosphere with a live pianist.

The toptable menu had so much more and better selection of choices than the 2course menu they have on the day! I haven't had steak tartare in ages so I ordered that for the starter.. It was good until I realised why I like my meat cooked instead. My partner had the haggis which he loved. I had the salmon which was perfectly cooked and good seasoning. My partner went for the steak and he said it was right up there with the top five steaks he had.

Very good value lunch at £17.00 for two courses. Efficient service but I think Boisdale is more of an evening venue.

boisdale of belgravia is great for old fashioned recipes in a scottish hunting lodge setting..lots of red meat.not for anybody who wants to push a lettuce round the plate...go hungry,in fact don't eat the day before..not the best value - £28 for a 7oz steak is top end..staff very attentive & friendly

Boisdale of Belgravia was everything I had hoped it would be. The excellent set menu at £19.50 was great value, and the pink fizz good quality. ON the menu was steak tartare and prawn cocktail and a great choice of mains. The live jazz was excellent too, its not one of my fave's!!!! The courtyard and other bars are fab, and it is a hidden jem, from the outside it looks nothing, but once inside, an amazing experience. Staff friendly and very professional.

Though the food was good - the service was far from perfect: We were given a table by the band - when we asked to move they refused though the restaurant was empty. Two of the party wanted the top table deal two didn't - we were told it was all or nothing (eventually they accepted). However, our waitress was lovely - she said she doesn't usually work in that Boisdale so we'll try anotherone next time. Food overall was good but not flawless: sweetbreads were excellent but lobster was overcooked.

We had the 5 course taste of Scotland menu. The food was amazing and great value with the 50% offer - lobster, fillet steak...the qaulity and portion sizes were beyond expectations. The cocktails, wine list, food, ambience and music were spot. Our service was very patchey though, and beware addiitional 'Jazz' charges on your bill ontop of service charge!

Excellent restaurant. Lovely decor

boisdale is top quality

At Boisdale we enjoyed a nice table, good food and music. A winning combination !

Excellent meal at Boisdale of Belgravia; lovely ambience and great music . A really enjoyable evening.

Very disappointed. First the waitress asked if I wanted water and she walked away saying still suggesting me to nod before I had a chance to say tap water. Then another waiter said he couldnt do toptable offer as it hasnt started yet. Simply said nothing he could do even though I showed them what it says on the website. Then my husband said they should honour it as it was what we booked. He said no. Eventually he came back and apologise and he said my husband was right and honour the booking.

An excellent venue near Victoria. The staff are friendly and helpful, the ambience fantastic. If you like listening to the cool sounds of Live Jazz whilst tucking into your Haggis ( this is the first time I have tried this and it's not at all what you expect - it's better) and a fine whiskey (they do a great 'Classic' ) then this is the place for you. There is a Cigar terrace complete with heaters and rugs. This is a must and you don't need a passport to get in ! Excellent !

Service was a bit too slow for a business lunch.

Brilliant, a lovely way to spend Burns day with a wee glug of Whiskey!!

I've been to Boisdale Canary Wharf but this was my first visit to their Belgravia venue. The welcome was efficient and friendly, the waitress was delightful and attentive and the ambience was really good and we could have our conversation at a reasonable volume. The event was lunch with colleagues so although our table wasn't seeking romance, I'm sure that the tables for two could have provided the right setting and intimacy if needed. Food was characteristically good; 3 customers left happy.

Had lunch at the Boisdale in Belgravia for a business meeting. Service was efficient and discreet. Quality of food was excellent, and my guest was very pleased. I would wholly recommend this restaurant for a business lunch to impress.
