About Carom at Meza

With a prime spot on one of Soho’s main thoroughfares, Carom restaurant is well-placed to serve up authentic Indian cuisine to the many thronging tourists, theatre-goers, shoppers and workers in the area. Named after an Indian spice, and also an Indian billiards-type game, Carom is in very capable hands: chef Balaji Balachander was raised and trained in his hometown of Chennai, and has worked as executive chef at Michelin-starred Benares. Food here spans the Indian continent, so you can choose from dishes like Keralan sea bass with curry leaf, mango, coconut and ginger sauce, or a dessert of tandoori pineapple with star anise, fennel seed and vanilla ice cream. There are also dishes of various sizes, allowing diners to pick, mix and share, making it the ideal venue either for a full meal or a quick drink-after-work stop-off with a few nibbles at the ultra-cool lounge bar.

Went to Carom for early dinner with a friend. Had a really good time. Excellent calamari and chicken. Staff were really friendly and helpful and the restaurant had a great atmosphere. Great value with the deal.

My friend and I went for the early menu special. There were three options per course. As long as you aren't to picky then I would definitely recommend it as it was good value for money. It certainly filled my friend and I up. All the food was very tasty and had lovely flavours.

The music can get a bit loud however we could still hold a conversation with each other. Service was attentive and overall it was a really good evening.

Carom Meza in soho was fab. Excellent service, superfood, best value in London

We enjoyed Carom at Meza. It's a cool restaurant/bar and the early evening menu makes it excellent value. The food was good, and interesting, and the service good. A fun place to meet in Soho.

My second time eating at Carom, a good selection of dishes on the set price menu. Attentive service and a good ambience.

Carom at Meza is a lively Soho restaurant serving great cocktails. Food good too. Great for a late night dinner, a celebration or a meal before hitting other Soho bars in the area.

Absolutely beautiful food. We went for the early bird set menu which gave you a choice of three starters, three mains, and three desserts - not a huge choice but everything on the menu was superb!!! The only thing I would change would be the atomsphere - the restaurant was very dark and the music was very loud - which is a shame as it distracted you from the delicious food.

Possibly my favourite of the Toptable offers so far and pleasantly surprised with the ambience and food served at Carom. It were limited options for the £11.99 for three courses offer, but very creative menu and lovingly cooked. Both my friend and I thoroughly enjoyed the meal.

Fun atmosphere and the £10 deal is excellent ... we had the lanb kebabs to start and chicken for main .. ask for the food hot/spicy, you will not regret it !!

Excellent evening, not a lot of choice on the menu, however this did not matter, as what we did have to choose from was excuisit! Will definitely recommend!

I enjoy my food and this was very good, we ate from the 3 course £11.95 menu and it was the works, the quality and quantity was great, i asked for a slightly hotter curry than was advertised on the menu and when it arrived it was spot on. It was only 6pm but it had a very nice atmosphere. will use this restaurant again!

It was our 1st time to visit Carom at Meza, under new management and name. Great space and atmosphere, tables are not too cramped up. We were going to the theatre so we all chose their special menu. Food was exceptionally tasty and presented from starter, main and dessert. Cuisine is more of a modern Indian cuisine than your regular high street Indian cuisine. Some dishes were a touch too spicy for some, so its good to ask before ordering. Staff were very attentive and friendly. Would go again.

Carom at Meza - London Really nice environment and very good for large groups that are in the mood for some drinks/party afterwards as the restaurant converts into a club..

The service was not great - long waiting periods.. Food quality and value for money is good but watch out with the drinks's price as they can be an unpleasant surprise when the bill comes..

I enjoyed the food, it was much higher quality then the £10 pound price tag would suggest, the restaurant is very vibrant place with quite loud music so idea for a informal meal with friend or a relaxed first date, less so if you wanted a quite romantic, private date.

I booked Carom at Meza after reading the reviews, for my birthday - with 3 friends. It was great! Food was delicious - particularly the starters which we all agreed were the tastiest indian starters we'd ever had! The mains were extremely good too- though quite spicy so had to drink quite a bit of water. Food prices seemed reasonable for central London - drinks were a bit pricier, but that's what you expect. Service was spot on too.

Great location, the food was fantastic.

The food was fantastic, service was attentive and nice ambiance. We had a great evening at Carom at Meza, Piccadilly :-)

Carom at Meza on Saturday evening was packed! The noise level is very high but the food is stunning. The service was excellant with a very attentive manager (?). Considering the standard of the food it is very good value and can't wait to return.

Me and my girls went to Carom on Wardour Street on the £10 for 2 courses deal. The starter was quite spicy, my head was on fire. But the main was delicious!! The ice cream that I had off the main menu was also yummy. The bubblegum cocktail was to die for! Yum Yum Yum!!

I love the food at Carom. However, on this occasion, my diner found the food far too hot. I too must admit, that although I enjoy hot food, the chef was a little heavier on the use of chilli. To be on the safe side I would ask my waiter to make the food mild.

A lovely evening otherwise.
