About Glasshouse Bar and Restaurant

Central to Manchester"s upmarket Crowne Plaza, the Glasshouse Bar and Restaurant provides sophisticated dining and drinking within a local landmark building. Cleverly conceived to enjoy the most natural light possible, the Glasshouse is nonetheless intimate and comfortable. Touches of Eastern design are woven throughout the clean lines and simple colour scheme that gives the Glasshouse a beautiful contemporary-classic look while large mirrors maximise the feeling of space. Making the most of local, seasonal produce, chef Darren Hamilton blends modern and traditional flavours in his menu of regional specialties, which are in turn given a touch of international creativity. The gateway to central Manchester, the Glasshouse is the ideal place to begin, or indeed end, a visit to this great city.

The food at the Glasshouse Bar and Restaurant was fabulous! I had the risotto to start which was lovely but it was the lamb rump that really excelled - it was divine. The waitresses were lovely and it's a fine space. The only problem was it was empty bar our group and this was half eight on a Saturday. Now this may discourage you to go but please do the opposite - discover it and take friends, recommend it to others and fill it up - then it will fulfil the whole dining experience. It's worth it.

Glasshouse Bar and Restaurant - Service was excellent with friendly staff. The food was good value and well presented. I would recommend this venue for its service, food and ambience.

A very good meal, efficently served in pleasant surroundings - unfortunate that there were very few other diners. First course portions were rather wmall, mains good. The wine was also most enjoyable (Brown Bros, Evertion).

Glasshouse Bar and Restaurant, Manchester Located on the ground floor. Was surprisingly empty for a Thursday night this close to Christmas so we had good waiter service. The menu was not the normal Northern tastes as the offer describes and they only offered the Christmas menu. But the food was well presented and came with a good merlot. Seabass was tasty and terrine for starters was a good choice. Bar is very expensive for pre dinner drinks!! All in all good value and good service.

The Glasshouse Bar and Restaurant was a pleasant experience for my partner and I. We ate from the normal menu, finding the set menu too limited even though the price was good. The decor was tasteful, service excellent but the food was not to the standard we are used to, when compared with what we payed. Overall though we had a good evening, given that we couldn't find another table in the whole of Manchester!

The Glasshouse Bar and Restaurant, Manchester. The resrauarant was well appointed and had a good feel about it although it was very quiet for a Friday evening. The food was good and the service very good. I was disappointed that we were not offered bread whilst we were waiting for our meals and none came with the starters. One of the starters was called Pork and Hen pie, a fancy name for a slice of shop bought pork pie with egg pie.

Glass house Bar & Restaurant, Manchester Crowne Plaza – Booking the offer with Top Table of 3 courses & ½ bottle of wine was outstanding value. The food was lovely & well presented. Staff were very pleasant & attentive. Would definitely recommend.

Me and my partner visited Glasshouse Bar and Restaurant in Manchester. We were very impressed with the service an how extremely friendly the staff were towards us. The restaurant itself was very tastefully decorated and we were made to feel very welcome from the word go. Our booking through Top Table included discount on a 3 course meal and drinks. Every course was impeccable from taste to quantity and presentation. We would have no hesitation in paying full price for the next visit.

We ate at the Glasshouse in Manchester, the deal we had was not great value for money. The wine was good but the food was mediocre. The service was pleasant and the restaurant itself is very comfortable but not sure we'd go back there again. We felt like we could've cooked the food ourselves and for a lot less.

Glasshouse Bar Manchester We came here for an Anniversary meal it is a nice venue and the service was good but the portion sizes and choice could be better.

Glasshouse restaurant is definitely a pleasant dinig experience but it was very quiet for a friday night which meant the athmosphere was a bit flat. The food is pretty good but it's the 2nd time i've been and the service was quite bad both times.

Glasshouse Bar and Restaurant, Manchester

Fantastic evening, lovely food, lovely surroundings.

We had a long wait for our third course, but were given complementary drinks as compensation.

We went to Glasshouse Bar and Restaurant on Saturday evening with a couple of friends started off rather shaky with wrong soup brought but we said this didnt matter but soon changed our minds once we tasted it as was swimming in grease. This was rectified and the head waiter could not apologise enough he made up for it with coffees on the house and no charge for wine upgrade and he did sort it out rather spoilt it though. Although we had a pleasant evening dont think we would rush to return.

Glasshouse Bar & Restaurant (Manchester) - 3 courses + bottle of wine for £20 offered great value for money. Menu was different to that on website, but the food was lovely. Fish main was particularly good. Portion sizes were on the wee side size-wise, but can't grumble for the price. Desserts were disappointing - the crumble was a definite winner. Very quiet and not a lot of ambience. Decor very modern and attractive though.

We visited The Gasshouse Bar and Restaurant in Manchester using the £39offer.We found the deal really good value for money and would recommend it.

Service was a little slow to start with at Glasshouse Bar & Restaurant but it was redeemed by a cheerful waitress. We opted for the 'Taste of the North' set menu expecting local dishes. But dishes such as Thai fishcakes were as far removed from the north as you can get. Whilst portions are not overly generous (like most set menus) 2 courses each and a decent bottle of Voignier was less than £60 for two. Not bad at all.

We arrived late due to awful traffic but this was not a problem, neither was our request for speedy service. We were sat down with dirnks and our order taken in less than 5 minutes. My gluten free requests were dealt with effectively. Choice for the setmenu offer were a bit limited with only 3 choices for each course. Our starter arrived fairly quickly but we had a bit of a wait for main course. This was surprising as the restaurant was almost empty. Food well presented and tasty.

Glasshouse restaurant in Manchester, excellent value and nice atmosphere. The food was delicious and great value for money. One downside, slightly limited menu options
