About Indian Summer

Indian Summer is a Brighton based restaurant owned by long time friends and business partners Minesh Agnihotri and Byron Swales. Born from a mutual passion for Indian food and a firm belief that Brighton and Hove deserved some genuine, contemporary Indian food, Indian Summer filled a gap in the local market and has been a busy addition to the local dining scene ever since. The menu here offers authentic southern Indian and European cuisine made with traditional recipes from India. You will not find chicken tikka masala here, just great favourites like masala dosa and bhel puri. Each recipe is made individually without additives and the restaurant only uses free range chicken. In keeping with much of India’s culinary traditions, most of the food here is also gluten and dairy free. Located on East Street, Indian Summer restaurant is only a stone’s throw from the seaside.

Indian Summer in the Lanes in Brighton was a great night out. Excellent food with great service...Menu might need an update, all five of us had the non-vegatable Thali!

stumbled across indian summer and the popularity of the restaurant bought me in. great atmosphere, nice decor and good menu. The only disappointment was that the seemed short staffed and therefore we were waiting to order drinks/have our dirty plates taken away. apart from that great expereince and good food

Amazing service and quality food. Would def go back!

As always a top evening and even better food, 10 out of 10, can't be any better!

First time eating in here and it was amazing will be recommending this place to everyone

Visited Indian Summer on a quiet Wednesday lunchtime, OH order from the two course lunch set menu which is quite good, unlike the usual greasy indian food from takeaway. I ordered from their street food menu which the food was tasty but served cold. It really should be mentioned on the menu I think. Service was excellent, very attentive and professional service. This is the place to go for a tasty contemporary indian food.

Excellent food and superlative service.

Had a fantastic meal at Indian Summer, Brighton. The staff were very courteous and pleasant and the restaurant was very nicely decorated and had a great ambience. The menu has a good variety of very original dishes to suit all tastes. My partner's a vegetarian and she had several choices too. We were given complimentary appetisers between courses which was a nice touch. The food was all excellently cooked and presented beautifully and the service was fantastic. Will definitely be returning.

Excellent meal at Indian Summer in Brighton. Wouldn't recommend the 5 mini cheesecake dessert though, nothing like a cheesecake ? Everything else was delishcious.

We ate at Indian Summer on New Year's eve without really knowing what to expect. We were very pleasantly surprised. This is not an ordinary Indian curry house but a really fine Indian restaurant. The food was exceptionnally different from any Indian cuisine I have been used to eat in this country. The staff was very friendly and helpful without being over the top. Good atmosphere and good decoration. I will strongly recommend this place to my friends.

This restaurant lived up to its expectations. The staff were really polite and friendly. The food was delicious..especially the vegetarian thali. The decor is the best I've seen for a long time. Definitely worth a visit.

Delicious food, excellent value lunch menu

Our visit to Indian Summer in Brighton on a busy Saturday night was a delight. Great ambience, excellent service and good food. Top marks for the wine selection too - much better than your average Indian restaurant!
