About Kennington Tandoori

The dining room at Kennington Tandoori is an elegant space dressed in lemon, plum and chocolate colours. Located on Kennington Road, this south London restaurant draws a local crowd and is always bustling with a lively mix of tables for two, business groups and politicians. The food is the real star of the show here, and the kitchen staff at Kennington Tandoori pay attention to detail - roasting and grinding all their own spices and making up all their own fresh stocks in-house. The menu – which is filled with classics such as the chicken tikka cooked with almonds, pistachios and coconut cream in a saffron sauce – is complimented by a bespoke wine list created by Caspar Auchterlonie.

Tasty munchables.

I have eaten here previously and I've had mixed experiences with the food here. Some dishes have been outstanding, while others have been average and non-descript. Having said that, the food is normally of a good standard though I would expect this for the price. Some of the starters are quite pricey for what they are, though the mains are a bit better priced. Overall, I enjoy coming to the KT. I also think they could improve some things and make this a top dining experience.

We are regular diners at Kennington Tandori, London and this restaurant never fails to deliver excellent quality food that is packed full of flavour. This is not the most inexpensive restaurant, but like most things in life you get what you pay for, the food is authentic high quality Indian food, expertly prepared, beautifully served, delicately spiced etc. We would high recommend this restaurant.

Good food and service - a bit crowded. But really enjoyed.

We have eaten at the Kennington Tandoori, London many times and it never fails to deliver excellent Indian food. The food is well prepared and presented. The food is packed full of suculent flavours. This time we took some of our Indian friends along to the restaurant and they said the the food was very authentic and high standard. I would highly recommend the restaurant

Best curry I've had in London... Maybe ever!

cracking, decor much better since revamp and service good.

Kennington Tandori - Service was excellent albeit perhaps over attentive. Wide variety of different types of food which was of a good standard. Good atmosphere and nice decor. There was a £20 set menu which we didn't go for because we wanted a different main dish but otherwise it was great value. Would go back again.

Lovely as ever. The January Blues set-menu is great value.

delicious food, a little quiet on weekdays so go at weekend for better atmosphere

Enjoyable dinner at Kennington Tandoori, with tasty curries. Service was rather over attentive, however.

The Kennington Tandoori in London was as lovely as ever!

A decent curry here and competent service. Not overpriced, but doubtless there is better value elsewhere. Table maybe a little on the close side and the atmosphere suffers a bit as a result. But still worth a visit if you are in the area.

Another fantastic meal at the Kennington Tandoori (London) - delicious food all around. I had the special Oxtail curry which was superb and the rest of the party had various different lamb dishes which were all enjoyed! The restaurant has had a refurbishment since I'd last been there and is looking very plush. Thoroughly recommend.

Great as always. Attentive service, types of curry I've never heard of (as well as the classics) and food that tastes fantastic.

Good food, service a little slow but given that the Oval had just turned out thousands of cricket supporters that could be forgiven.

A better than average curry. I would go back some time. The service was good and the food tasted fine. The Tempura Platter for starter was very good. I would recommend the restaurant for a curry night but not a special occassion meal.

Food was superb, save that it took two hours to arrive and wasn't right the first time around. When it's busy, this place can be poor for service but it's still a really, really good curry house.

Wonderful food for meat easters and veggies alike, great ambience. Food not too heavy nor greasy. Would definitely recommend.
