Lunya is the UK's only Catalonian fusion restaurant and deli, bringing you the very best from Catalonia in the North East of Spain, and other Spanish regions, and from carefully selected artisan producers in the North West of England and throughout the UK. We have a range of exquisite tapas and a la carte meals, with everything made fresh in our kitchen from the very best ingredients.

We are open for breakfast and lunch, serving a unique range of traditional and innovative meals and snacks.

We pride ourselves in the very high quality of our ingredients and that we make everything ourselves with our very talented team. We have a wood fired brick oven in which we bake our own sourdough bread every day. In addition to fabulous food, we strive to provide exceptional service. You can be sure to leave Lunya knowing that you have been really taken care of and wanting to return. Exceptional food, cooking and service.

PS. We deliver breakfast boxes, deli boxes and hampers.

Although slightly on the expensive side for tapas, the food and atmosphere were lovely. I would recommend to friends and family.

Excellent food and service

Lunya in Liverpool definitely has character. You go in through a well-stocked deli, and the Spanish waiters give a good welcome. We asked the (British) owner to choose some tapas for us - a ploy which usually works out well for us, and on this occasion paid off in spades. We tried several dishes that were new to us - including crispy fried aubergines, fish and chip fritters. slow roasted ox cheek and catalan scouse (!). Good tastes, good fun.,

Lunya in Liverpool was excellent yet again. The tasting banquet was an ecletic mix of beautifully prepared tapas dishes. The staff were very efficient and friendly.

Lunya , Liverpool. The food was better than we expected. The boquerones were delightful. The service was knowledgable and attentive. We chose a mixture of tapas and were pleased with everything we had. The choice of wines was wide( all Spanish obviously. We would certainly recommend Lunya especially if you were in a large group of more than 4 then the sharing experience would be enhanced. The deli also looked pretty good as well.

We took two overseas customers and they really enjoyed the food, venue and service. We had the Tapas Tasting Banquet and it was excellent. I would certainly recomend this venue again and will be returning in the future.

We really enjoyed our evening at Lunya. The food was ok - some of us loved what they ordered much more than others.... and you do have to order quite a bit because the tapas are typically small. Very friendly service though.

Arrived before 12 and wanted lunch menu but kitchen would not allow until 12 so had to wait. Waiter provided menu apologised and arranegd drinks while waited. Order was eventually taken before 12 and food was received quickly. Not cheap but worth it for the taste. Have been here numerous times and have enjoyed myself everytime. Would definately recommend.

Changed booking at short notice adding another 2 plus pushchairs, this wasn't an issue. Staff friendly and our daughter got lots of attention. The food was good and the overall experience was very good. The deli was fantastic did have to rein myself in from buying lots!!!

My wife visited Lunya for lunch with 2 friends on 17 Nov. We all had their 3 tapas lunch meal deal. A very tasy and varied selection which we much enjoyed and went well with a bottle of Eos de Lovarel syrah. We followed that with their cake and coffee deal - again good. Efficient, friendly service who made no attempt to hurry us on during our two hour lunch.

lunya liverpool really good food first class wine list good service

Went for lunch at Lunya this time, with a friend from outside Liverpool, on a lovely sunny day where the few outside tables were quickly snapped up! I knew she'd be impressed - she thought it was the best tapas restaurant outside Spain she'd ever visited. There is a special "3 Tapas for £10" offer at lunch, which makes it an even better bargain. Litre jugs of sangria (2 types - one based on red wine, one on cava) at £14.50 accompany the food at least as well as wine (a good range but not cheap).

Small portions of ok food. Not particularly authentic, and not particularly premium ingredients.

We really liked this restaurant. Its in an attractive functional and lively space which shares the shop selling some interesting Spanish food and wine. We had many small, tasty and moreish Spanish plates. The wines by the glass are well chosen and very good. The only letdown was the service. While friendly, the servers seemed over busy and did not circulate to our table often and attentively enough to see if we wanted to order more things. It therefore took too long to re-order food and wine.

Lunya is a welcome fixture in the modern Liverpool One shopping area - a deli full of mouthwatering produce, both Spanish and local (and everything well-sourced), doubling as a top-quality tapas restaurant. It isn't the cheapest of its genre, and it is easy to run up a sizeable bill, with very few wines under £15. Sangria was a good accompaniment at £14.50 a litre, and the food was all very tasty and authentic. Service was first-rate on a busy Saturday, and the owner is passionate yet friendly!

Lunya, Liverpool was a great pitstop for lunch between exhibitions. We were impressed with the lunchtime offer that meant we could choose three tapas each from a well balanced menu. All the items we chose were very tasty and the service was friendly. The dessert menu looked interesting (although we didn't get that far, having filled up already on tapas).

Lunya on Sunday evening. Peter the Head man chatting to guests outside on my arrival.........lovely touch. Table ready and waiting for myself and friend. Lots and lots of lovely young clean AND smiling staff on hand to help us choose but not pestering us eithere. Food to die for! Want to work my way through the menu bit by bit. Will be back soon with daughter in tow this time!1 Marian Whittington
