About Malmaison Brasserie

Located in the luxe Malmaison hotel in Liverpool's Princes Dock, the Malmaison Brasserie is a chic, cosmopolitan restaurant serving innovative and contemporary French food. Perfect for business lunches, special celebrations and romantic evening meals, the dining room at the Malmaison is a stylish study in chocolate browns and honeyed coffee tones, and features exposed brick walls, natural timbers and tiled flooring. Classic dishes include the crispy pig trotter served with a fried quails egg, bitter leaves and winter truffles; the braised blade beef with horseradish dumplings; and the open lasagne of smoked haddock in a mussel and saffron broth. The Brasserie at Malmaison also has a separate 'Homegrown and Local' menu featuring the finest Lancashire and Cheshire produce.

As a first-time visitor to Liverpool I was relieved to find a Malmaison hotel, as I needed to book an early business dinner. I have eaten in various Malmaison venues throughout the country, so had an expectation of a high similar standard. We were not at all disappointed... and we were most impressed to find Maury on the dessert menu! Keep up the high standards.

Great venue food was good too

Went to Malmaison (lovely setting near Liverpool waterfront) for their bargain Thursday "Steak Night". We both had quality 7oz steaks, perfectly cooked as requested - rump (£11.95) with peppercorn sauce, and onglet (£9.95) with red wine jus, served on wooden boards with a pot of home-made coleslaw and a good portion of frites in a cone. House red was a perfect accompaniment. Excellent, friendly service from the young team. Highly recommended.

Lovely food but very overpriced wine list. Would recommend the smoked duck breast salad and mushroom, smoked ham and truffle pizza.

enjoyed a meal at malmaison brasserie in liver pool last saturday, very attentive staff never had to fill my glass myself, initially a bit dissapointed with choice but really enjoyed the meal we had, wine a bit pricey but meal price good.

Food was good, but perhaps a little overpriced. My burger was a little in the dry side. Good ambience and nice service.

Dinner at Malmaison Brasserie, Liverpool on a very cold night in January was excellent only thing was missing was any atmosphere - it was very quiet with only 2 or 3 tables!

The Malmaison Brasserie in Liverpool has a great ambience. The staff were very polite and attentive. However we felt the food and wine were over priced. Also we had champagne bought for us by my friends husband and it wasn't announced who it was from. I had to explain it to my friend.

Malmaison Brasserie in Liverpool is a wonderful place to spend the evening. The food was excellent and the staff were very polite and friendly. I would not hesitate to recommend this restaurant to anyone wishing to enjoy an evening out.

Loved it. £19.99 Christmas deal a bargain. Great service.

Good value for money. Staff very friendly with good service, did not feel rushed. Food of high quality

Malmaison Liverpool, great value for money and good food and wine (we had the £30 for two courses, coffee and bottle of wine between two. Would go again.

We went to Malmaison Brasserie in Liverpool last night and had a fabulous time. The surroundings are very pleasant and the atmosphere is relaxed and friendly. The staff were helpful and very friendly. The food was fantastic. I know some reviews have mentioned that the food was not enough but for us it was more than enough and we definitely did not leave the venue hungry or pining for more food!!! The wine was lovely and complimented our choice of food perfectly. We will certainly go back again.

Good food, good value with the 2 courses, coffee and a bottle of house wine for £30 for 2 people. However, the service overall is not up to scratch, with the waiting and greeting staff seeming to be more interested in talking to each other than serving or talking to customers. On leaving the Brasserie, the 2 staff at reception were didn't even interrupt their conversation to say thanks or goodbye. For the second time when using this offer (once at Birmingham before) coffee was not offered to us.

Malmaison - Prices Dock, Liverpool. Deco wonderful. Waitress was very very nice

Starter Excellent, Wine very nice, main course... not very good. More fat that gammon on plate, had to order side dishes as it was 'gammon' with a tomato and nothing else. My gammon was 1/8 inch thick, and measured 3" x 2" with fat off. Which was a shame as I felt it spoilt the meal. Summary - Wonderful deco, wonderful waitress felt they could have give a little more (even if they put the price up)

Good food

Dinner at Malmaison brasserie in Liverpool was good. We were on the 'two coursee, coffee and a bottle of wine for £30 menu' and we were pleasantly surprised. Clearly the menu was going to be limited for this price, but there was sufficient choice and the food itself was good. However, the two course just won't fill you up and therefore, pudding and its added expense is inevitable!

Malmaison Brasserie in Liverpool was enjoyable, the Staff welcoming and friendly. the 'offer' menu had dishes that had been chosen to keep cost low and therefore profit as high as possible. No problem with this, the Brasserie has to make money. Everything had a good flavour but we did need to order chips to fill us up and to pay £10 extra for desserts.Portions were small and I think a bottle of wine could be sacrificed for a glass each and bread, chips and veg given instead or remove the coffee.

Liverpool. Great venue and food

I stayed and ate at the Malmaison Brasserie Liverpool Hotel, a great hotel and good food, typical service I guess from a hotel restaurant. Small restaurant with hotel guests, probably too far away from the city centre for non residents to eat here.

I'd recommend if you're staying at the hotel for more than one night to eat here for a night.
