About Miah's Kitchen

Situated on the rather swish York Place, close to Leeds mainline railway station, Miah’s Place is an Indian restaurant with a wow factor. Right from the outset you really know that you’re in for something special – the restaurant is set within one of the old red brick buildings, behind wrought iron low fencing, its subtle signage indicating that Miah’s Kitchen, a small scale chain making waves throughout Yorkshire and Lincolnshire, is perhaps a little more special than your average Indian eatery. Through the portico-ed front door you’ll enter a stylish dining room furnished in an unusual Art Deco inspired style, with ball topped lamps, sensuous lines and low slung leather seating, all in low key tones. Miah’s Kitchen offers an extensive menu of old Indian favourites, ranging from tandoori dishes to biryanis and baltis as well as a good collection of specialties created especially for the restaurant, using contemporary and traditional techniques.

Second visit and once again the food and service were excellent. Would definitely recommend.

All I can say is superb, the service and the food. We will be back and I have already recommended. If I had anything negative to say it would be the music was a little loud where we were sat ( under a speaker) and the restaurant was warm! But neither was a major problem.

We booked Miah's Kitchen after reading reviews on toptable and weren't disappointed. The food was excellent and very reasonably priced. The service was also very good, with the waiter advising us of certain dishes and which meat to have with which curries, which was very helpful. The only thing that let the place down was the toilets. I didn't go but my husband went and said the male toilets were quite run down. However I would definately reccomend Miah's Kitchen!

we arrived at 8.25 and were greeted and shown straight away to the table which was great . we ordered some drinks which were a bit slow to be served and that was a bit of a problem all night. we had to ask 3 times for a jug of water. the service of the food was fine and three out of the four of us really enjoyed the food , the forth one of us asked for his a little spicy and he thought it was a little tame. we eat at york place leeds.

Great night out for the family. The food tasted very authentic with attentive staff. Thoroughly enjoyable evening and would recommend to anybody keen on tasty Indian food in Leeds city centre. Also very reasonably priced

Very good food and service.

Nice setting with good decor. Very welcoming but unfortunately service was slow after. Upon paying we waited so long we eventually went to the bar to pay. More than 2 staff members were needed to serve a restaurant of it's size. Food was tasty but not overly impressive.

3rd time visit to Miah's Kitchen, Leeds and it was better than ever. Fantastic food, different from the usual fare elsewhere. Friendly and efficient service. Meal for 2 with 2 courses each and drinks/ sides/poppadoms came to £43 - high quality food at great value. Cannot recommend highly enough and looking forward to visiting again.

Fabulous - the best Indian Restaurant I have been to in the UK. The atmosphere was great, the staff superb and the food outstanding.

Again and again the food and service is exceptional. My favourite Indian restaurant cannot fault it.

Really liked this restaurant - good food and service - went to restaurant at 5.30 (opened at 5) on Good Friday - by the time we left there were three other tables occupied - between the two of us we had a combination of fish and meat dishes - liked everything we had - cost including wine £60.

A group of us had a superb meal at Miahs Kitchen. Some really lovely and unusual dishes as well as the traditional favourites. Great value and nice surroundings.

Fantastic evening. Food excellent and really great location handy for Leeds train station. Good ambience as four people can sit in a booth together. Service was slow but mainly because a large party had just sat down before us. Food tasty and staff helpful and knowledgeable. Well worth it!

As always we had a fantastic evening at Miah's Kitchen in Leeds - amazing food and friendly, attentive staff - everything was delicious, nicely buzzing for a sunday night and good value

Great atmosphere, food portion was a little on the small side but overall worth the money.

2nd time to Miah's Kitchen,

This time a Friday night, it was quieter than usual, which took away slightly, the ambience, and some commented on the background music being loud.

However the food, service and value were of very high standard and everyone was impressed.

Will return

Miah's kitchen is fantastic. Third time, I have a different person each time and they have loved it as well.

Service was good and friendly. Would recommend

Absolutely first class service. Food tasted fantastic will be returning soon.

Second visit and just as good as my first visit last week! This place has only been open 6 months and they are already the most popular restaurant on Toptable in Leeds!

Only black mark would be the toilets – only one urinal but boy did it stink.
