About Osteria dell Arancio

Customers and critics describe Osteria as a 'friendly', 'haute-boho' Italian on King's Road with a 'colourful' and 'quirky' interior. Mismatched crockery, and unusual artwork give it a colourful, eclectic feel. The menu is authentic and seasonal and the detailed all-Italian wine list is some say 'to die for'. Headchef Pierluigi Sandonnnini trained in Italy under the auspices of Gualtiero Marchesi (considered the founder of modern Italian cuisine), but his cooking has also been influenced by by the cuisine of Marche (his mother), and Tuscany and Piedmont (where he grew up). He often takes a contemporary approach to traditional dishes, producing a range of dishes that are fresh and light in style and better suited to modern taste and diet. The first floor dining room is perfect for private parties and there are regular wine tastings with wine producers.

very good food and wine. would reccomend it

Food was good as always.

Good food and charming owner

I went to Osteria dell'Arancio yesterday with my Dad who was up in London. Had a great meal and we were looked after really well as usual. Will keep going back.

Osteria dell' Arancio continues to be my favourite Italian in London. Not cheap but not ridiculous. Wine is actually decent value. Food and service are great.

Osteria dell'Arancio - Favourite Italian in London - great food and fantastic service as usual.

We went for dinner to Osteria dell Arancio. We loved the restaurant decoration and the ambience. The restaurant manager was excellent accommodating our needs. Service was lovely but a bit slow. They might have been short of staff. Food was good but not outstanding. The risotto was a too hard and the sea bass was not as tender as it could have been. The chocolate and pear cake was too dry.

Fabulous lunch as usual

Good - nice atmosphere.

Great food great service little expensive but overall a highly enjoyable evening.

Osteria dell Arancio, King's Road, London

There are several great Italian restaurants in Chelsea but in a crowded field this stands out for fine food, friendly service and festive, feel-good ambience. Particularly good wine list, too.

Great food as usual. One of the owners recommended a great bottle of Montepulciano, which was happily reasonably priced. Probably my favourite Italian restaurant in London.

Warm and friendly, good honest Italian food, served promptly. We sat upstairs, less noise and less bustle than downstairs, but a feeling that we were in someone's home for dinner. A splendid way to end a busy week.

Really enjoyed the food, typical Italian dishes. We had a meat and a cheese platter to share between 4 people, and then various main courses, including very tender veal, lamb shank and fillet steak, plus a moist, fleshy sea bass. Perhaps slightly overpriced for what we got. Ambience and service was great, although would sit downstairs next time as more buzzy and less formal than upstairs. Would go back again.

Always a pleasure to come here.

Pasta dishes are excellent, especially the cray fish pasta.. but today the highlight is the spaghetti with truffle.. subtle yet sublime and delicate taste..

22 of us descended for Friday lunch at Osteria dell Arancio and we had a great time. The service was excellent. We started off with shared antipasti which were delicious, then everyone chose their own main course. The food came quickly and was excellent. Sadly no time for pudding!

Great wine list + knowledgeable staff. Food just wasn't exciting.

Osteria dell Arancia on King's road, London, is a querky, fun, Italian restaurant. The menu is great and the service attentive without being in your face. Superb Italian wine list.

This was our second visit to Osteria dell Arancio and again it was super; this place has such a wonderful atmosphere and the food is super!

Excellent langoustine pasta, and the lamb is to die for
