About Salt House Tapas

Salt House Tapas restaurant in Liverpool is a fabulous urban charcuterie and tapas bar in the former residence of the Bishop of Liverpool. The Englishmen behind Salt House don’t speak a word of Spanish but so love the food and lifestyle of Spain that they have devoted themselves to creating this authentic local tapas bar. The menu includes classic tapas created from superb ingredients that taste great, whether they’re local or direct from Spanish farms, vineyards and suppliers. The menu encourages you to begin with a sherry or cava before sampling classic tapas dishes from charcuterie to prawns, Galician octopus, authentic cheeses, salads and vegetarian offerings. The wine list roams the globe and includes a super selection by the glass. The dining room is set on two levels with subtly modern design elements like chairs sourced from an old schoolroom in Massachusetts. The welcome is warm and professional and diners sing the praises of the waitstaff who go out of their way to make dining at Salt House an excellence, authentic experience.

Salt House Tapas, excellent as ever. Very popular particularly towards end of the week. The Hake dish is superb!

Salt House Tapas in central Liverpool was very good with authentic tapas and good service. Very busy on a Saturday evening. Good menu options with a couple of specials. Would be good to. See paella becom part of the menu an not only occasionally as. Special.

Yum, yum very tasty, with nice friendly staff defo go again

Very convenient location, superb food - probably the best tapas we've had outside of Spain. Prices are good, not cheap but as the quality is so good then it is good value. Very good and efficient, friendly service. Will definitely go again. Toilets down in basement and on Saturday evening could've been better maintained. Overall excellent.

Salt House Tapas is a lovely restaurant in the heart if Liverpool one. Excellent service and food was delicious!!

Very nice and reasonable price definite return

Salt House Tapas is a fantastic place situated in the heart of Liverpool One. Great atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff, lovely food and a very nice rioja! Would definitely go again when in Liverpool.

This place has a decent atmosphere and is reasonably authentic. The staff were really friendly and very helpful. Decent size portions. The chorizo and chickpea tapas could be improved, the croquetas were first class and for aficionados of turron, the turron mousse is excellent.

Had a really nice meal at Salt House Tapas in Liverpool, especially enjoyed the potato tortilla and the calamari. The staff were friendly and accomodating when we rang up a couple of hours beforehand to change the time of our booking.

we really enjoyed the "posh" tapas. so much nicer than the usual rubbish that you get from many of the Spanash Tapas chains. particularly enjoyed the belly pork. also great location for echo arena. close but far enough away from the hoards of people out on the lash before the concert.

Had fab evening at the Salt House Tapas in Liverpool. Began with a chilled glass of sherry, one of several on the menu. The serrano ham and manchego cheese were to die for, complimented by a glass of spanish macabeo wine. many of the wines are by the glass so you can have a different wine with the different tapas. We were able to take our time and order a few dishes at a time, rather than all at once which made for a nice leisurely meal. The atmosphere is really buzzy and the staff friendly .

My sister and I visited Salt House Tapas after a trip to the cinema. Given it was a Wednesday evening, the restaurant was 'buzzing', lovely relaxed atmosphere. Food and drinks were served promptly - and were delicious, the staff very friendly.

Nice food well presented and good value. A good place to go for a celebration. The jugs of sangris are great.

Good lunch at Salt House Tapas in Liverpool.Food is brought in waves rather than all the dishes being dumped on the table in one go.Food is excellent, I'd recommnd the spare ribs.

We had a great time at Salt House Tapas, Liverpool. We were a party of 7 people and everyone ordered 2-3 tapas plates each. Dishes were well presented and tasty. I had a salad, pork cracklings and the sausage sliders. Got to taste most else's and they were equally delish. We went the whole way with desserts and the strawberries with cream, and ice cream with affogato were a hit.

Staff were friendly and we had a good time. Make sure you consider this place when in Liverpool.
