About Sartori Restaurant

A traditional Italian restaurant in the very centre of London, Sartori Restaurant is situated on Great Newport Street, just a minute’s walk from Leicester Square. With a lively, chilled out vibe and modern, cosy décor in earthy tones, this is the perfect post work stop off, allowing Londoners to let their hair down with a cocktail or two alongside excellent, high quality Italian food. Taking in the best of the country’s culinary favourites, Sartori prides itself on offering traditional dishes, a true expression of the vast and varied food landscape of Italy. Of particular note are Sartori’s utterly authentic pizzas, cooked in the restaurant’s custom built Strazzullo Michele wood-fired forno, described by blogger Young & Foodish as "the Stradivarius of pizza ovens".

I was very impressed with Sartori in tucked away in a busy street near Covent Garden, on my first visit there. Two of us went early evening, with the place getting busier by the minute, but the staff were friendly and attentive, and the food came promptly and was pretty amazing. Altogether a lovely experience in an unassuming venue for a very reasonable price. If you like fish, I recommend the Linguine for a quality dish.

Sartori Restaurant , Great Newport St, WC2H 7JE. As usual, excellent food and service, with a pleasant table by the window. Thoroughly recommend this establishment (part of a small chain) for good food: just that little bit more sophisticated than the average italian restaurant.

We had a lovely re-theatre meal at Sartori in London. The food was delicious and served in plenty of time for us to get to the Palace Theatre to see Signing in the Rain

At Sartori we had good authentic Neapolitan pizza and good service at a fair price. We will go back.

We ate at the Sartori Restaurant at London on the 6th of May. We were very pleased with our meal. We both had main courses only and the food was extremely tasty. I had the pizzaotta (or something like that - looks like a calzone) - was really well flavoured.

Overall the experience was enjoyable - nice lively atmosphere, extremely well located, good service and at an affordable price. This is NOT your fine dining experience out - but its the type of place you would return too.

Sartori Restaurant, London: Good italien food, not expensif. Busy place with poor sound isolating items, so it can become quiet noisy.

Very enjoyable evening. Had a table for 8 celebrating the end of a major project. Atmosphere was calm, food was good, service was fine,

Food extremely mediocre. Can only assume it's so busy due to closeness to Leicester square. Have eaten in italians so much better than this. Service was pretty bad. Had to call a waiter anytime we wanted anything. Wouldn't go back.

Excellent as ever, great service brilliant food. One of the best Italians in central London.

At Sartori we had an excellent pizza, simple, tasty and authentic. Service was friendly and attentive, Our waiter gave us some good suggestions. Fair value for money. We will go back.

I went to Sartori in Leicester Square on Sunday. It was very nice food and good value as well. Squid marinated in garlic source was delicious. So was the main course of poached salmon. Very good wine too.

Italian restaurants are plentiful but we tried Santori partly because of the reviews and partly due to the location. We were seated at the window - this was fine but there is basement area with no natural light which is a less good setting . Portions are large and the food was well cooked , other at tables nearby were tucking in to large pizzas to share which looked good . I`d certainly go back if we wanted an italian meal and was wanting to eat in the area

Sartori in Leicester Square was a great find. The place is full of Italians - which is always a good sign for an Italian restaurant - and the service and pizza's were both exceptional. We will return - maybe trying to get a table upstairs as the only down side was the noise downstairs with all of the happy eaters!

Good food, good atmosphere, tables a little cramped

The restaurant is easy to find from Leicester Sq station. The food was good and the service was attentive and friendly. The bill was a little higher than expected but I think it was pretty typical of central London prices.

The 1 metre pizza was great for sharing!!

Very good pizza - I am italian and very rarely I have tasted such a good pizza back home. Definitely recommended (also for the very convenient location, opposite to Leicester Square station)

Excellent food served by enthusiastic, courteous staff. Will definitely go again

Visited Sartori Restaurant, London, WC2H on a Sturday night as a table of 12. The atmosphere was very lively, which made for a good party atmosphere. The food was very good both in quality and quantity and this was an ideal place to celebrate a retirement/birthday. The restaurant were having to turn away dozens of diners, many of whom were Italian, which gave it that extra endorsement.

Quality pizza as ever, though one was initially a bit cold... Manager took it straight back and 3 mins later we had a brand new piping hot one! Will definitely go back.
