About Shabab Express

Since the 1970s Shabab restaurants have been fighting against the red-flocked flock of Indian restaurants spreading across the UK in all their tasteless glory. By bringing authenticity and style to Asian cuisine, the Shabab brand has shown that eating Indian isn’t just about grabbing a bite with beer. Here on Bishopsgate Street Shabab’s faster sister can be found, serving great food to the masses in too much of a hurry to be chained to the dinner table. Taking a selection of favourites from the fantastic Shabab menu, Express prepares a meal to remember in moments – a treat for any of us for whom fast food means flat food.

Pretty poor service and food at Shabab Express, Leeds although the express part lived up to it's name! We felt rushed, that the food was quite generic (two completely separate dishes we ordered were exactly the same I kid you not...) Lovely chapatis though! Coffee tasted rubbery and stale. Won't be returning which is a shame as the place is lovely in terms of decor and it was certainly busy on a saturday night, we paid £20 a head though and everyone had indigestion afterwards.

First time visit to Shabab Express in Leeds. Brilliant, attentive service and great food (great starter!). Really enjoyed it - recommended!

Shabab Express Leeds - It was pretty, pretty good.

Service was a little slow but the food was great. Enjoy

Friendly waiting staff if a touch slow for a quiet night. Food was ok, tried a couple of different things so nothing to compate particular dishes against, large naan.... Big old room with quite loud authentic music meant not the best ambiance. Might go again as very close to hotel I stay in when in Leeds.

Shabab Express offers a nice welcome and good food. Fish Jalfrezi was great. Sag Paneer a bit sweet for my taste as were chutneys with the papadoms.

shabab express leeds. fantastic little place, couldnt fault it, so much food and so nice. would definately go back again.

We were visiting Leeds for the weekend from London and what a pleasant evening we had. The staff were most attentive from the moment we arrived, and nothing was too much trouble. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. We will most certainly return.

We visited the Shebab Express, the food was really good, although a trite expensive. The restaurant lacks a little atmosphere, but we really enjoyed our evening.

Went to Shabab Express in Leeds and as usual, enjoyed it very much. The food is always good and the staff friendly. They have refurbed the restaurant with the tables and chairs from the Shebab Restaurant on Eastgate and so the inside no longer looks like Dino's from old!

The food at the Shabab restaurant is excellent, however it was so cold in the restaurant we had to move tables to be near a radiator to keep warm. We had booked for 8pm and we were seated straight away, which is a bonus, however the restaurant was not very busy at all.

Shabab Express really lived up to its name as, having missed a train, I only had 30 minutes for a meal. Chickpea curry was very good and fresh tasting. Would recommend the mango lassi - huge glass for only one pound.

Shabab Express was nice overall, the highlight was the great service.
