About Sofra

One of a small group of beloved Turkish restaurants offering the freshest of food at very reasonable prices, Sofra in Covent Garden has devoted regulars and must seem like a gift from the food gods to passing tourists. Both the staff and the hours are friendly - you can pop in for anything from a bistro bite to a full Turkish feast from noon to midnight. The best way to enjoy Middle Eastern cuisine is to order lots and lots of different things to share with the loads of friends you've brought along. We're partial to the fish dishes, incuding the drunken squid marinated in vodka, but the special mixed meze seems to be the hands-down winner.

Excellent value....good food, good service,!

We visited Sofra, Covent Garden last night and were very impressed. Would definitely go there again.

I can't recommend Sofra enough, its a great little restaurant in Covent Garden. There's a relaxed ambience, the staff are friendly and efficient and the food is decilious! Plus the value for money is spot and I'd be happy to visit every week!

Amazing food and service. Really high class looking restaurant with food that is very high end but with an absolutely amazing value. Service was fantastic as well. Definitely be back again.

A really enjoyable experience with interesting food, friendly staff and not expensive.

great food, but small resturant

Sofra Covent Garden is an excellent choice if you need a quick meal in Covent Garden. Service is always slick and friendly, whilst the food is varied and delicious. One of those places where you can actually eat a big meal and come out feeling healthy!

Unfortunately Sofra had no record of our booking through toptable but managed to accommodate us which was great.

Food was great, despite being very busy the service was very quick with a fab menu selection.

excellent location for theatre, good food and service. will go again.

We went to Sofra for a pre-theatre meal. The food was excellent but the waiting staff were clearly extremely busy and there were some significant delays for our orders to be taken and for us to get the bill. I will definitely return if I'm in the West End and take my time there, but I wouldn't recommend it if you have a deadline or for a pre-theatre meal.

This is my fourth visit to Sofra in Covent Garden and as usual the service is great and the food is delicious! I've opted for the two courses for £9.70 deal including a glass of wine. The hummus and fresh bread starter is scrumptious and the lamb patties served with salsa, salad and rice is superb! All this for a bargain price. This place never fails to deliver on a pleasurable dining experience. I will definitely be going again soon!

Sofra Covent Garden is delicious and good value. Would recommend.

I visited Sofra restaurant in London in the heart of the theatre district. It's a very cosy and calm restaurant and is located very well near the theatres.

Sofra at Covent Garden was very good. Service a bit slow, but food and price were very good.

Very nice food and good value too.

I couldn't fault the food at Sofra, it was delicious and the staff very friendly and knowledgable regarding the menu. We arrived for a meal at 5.30 and the service was excellent but unfortunately as it got busier with the pre-theatre crowd there just weren't enough staff on. We were waiting 15 minutes to order dessert and then gave up and asked for the bill. Twice. In summary, excellent food, but let down by lack of staff - those that were working were lovely but they had too much to do!

We sat in the 'roof garden' are which was quieter than the main restaurant and much more pleasant. The food was very good and all the meats cooked to perfection. The only negative was the time it took to bring the bill, we had to wait for over 20mins after asking for it 3 times. Apart from that the service was brilliant and all other timings were spot on. Would give it another chance for sure.

Sofra in Covent Garden is great. Really friendly, great value and beautifully tasty food. Had a pre-theatre meal and would love to visit again with more time to savour the wonderful tastes.

great pre-theatre option, delicious fresh food and not too noisy!

Very good restaurant! Service was good. Price reasonable and delicious food!
