About Spaghetti House

It took the warmth and passion of the folks behind Spaghetti House to convince post-war London to give Italian cooking a try way back in the 1950's, and we've been flocking there ever since. The best reason to try one of the capital's culinary institutions is that the food is just so good. Pasta, in all its glory, is at the centre of the menu. You'd be hard-pressed to find a better fettuccine alfredo or spaghetti bolognese, even at twice the price. But the starters, salads, pizzas, and meat and fish courses are just as good. Try chicken with lemon and pine nut sauce or salmon with pesto and the wine list is so reasonably priced you can afford to experiment. This branch is near everything; Covent Garden, Trafalgar Square, and all the madness of the West End. Spaghetti House: long may it wave!

The food was excellent, the atmosphere wonderful but the staff, they were fantastic.5 stars.

very good and friendly staff

Spaghetti House St Martin's Lane

My £9.95 two course very good value given restaurant's location. Friendly service although waiters inclined to shout a lot - much quiter upstairs.

Good selection's of wine by the glass etc. Good value means that fellow clientele were more at the McDonald's end of the market.

Spaghetti House, 30 St Martin's Lane 2nd time we have dined here. We got the same warm welcome and attentive service. We all enjoyed our meals and left well satisfied.

We would go again and recommend it to anyone looking for authentic Italian food.

We had a lovely meal at the Spaghetti House in London. My friend and I both had the two courses for £9.95. The starters were slightly stingy by anyone standards (1 stuffed mushroom only!) but very tasty. We both had the minute steak for mains and that was delicious and a good size. We also took the opportunity to have a desert for £3 which was also part of the deal. I had the apple strudel with toffee ice cream which was lush. Good atmosphere and friendly staff. Would definitely go back!

Quite a good meal in pleasant surroundings.

Met a friend for lunch at Spaghetti House, St Martin's Lane. Attentive service, very friendly but not overbearing and respectful that my friend and I wanted to chat. Food was okay, nothing special but fine for the price. Convenient location

if you are after real italian people serving real italian food, then this is the place. the service was on point and we did not wait for someone to come over and take our orders. it was a very friendly place with a great vibe, not just for couples but familys too.

St Martin;s Lane - London Service was very friendly and given by Italians in an Italian restaurant - makes it feel more real. Very pleasant meal.

Excellent theatre choice, with varied set meal menu available at a good price. Fine service, making sure our party of four got all the food in time to make a leisurely getaway for the start of our show.

We went to the St Martins Lane Spaghetti House for a pre theatre meal. The calamari tasted fresh. They were generous with the clams in my main course of vongole. My partner described his starter and maincourse as average. It was busy, but there was no long wait for our meals, just a confusion with the bill later. They offered us free dessert and coffee, but we did not have the time to stay for that.

Spaghetti House, St Martins Lane; food was nice enough (the puttanesca was a bit wet) but really friendly staff made it a very pleasant lunch.

Like most of the early diners we were there before a trip to ENO next door. As reliable as ever.

Minestrone soup good but burger, highlighted in menu, sloppy and tasteless. Pattatine were also soggy, Companion had mushroms and spahgetti with mussels - piping hot and copious. Service very willing, friendly and and prompt . You need an ordnance survey map to find the loos.

We visited Spaghetti House late after the theatre and were the only 4 customers in the restaurant so not a great atmosphere and it was obvious they were anxious to get away. Food was good and reasonably priced. Great for pre or after theatre pasta.

2 adults and 2 small children prior to a matinee at the Colliseum next door. Great for lunch and the staff were excellent with the children too.

Booking always helps here as this place was rammed at 5.30pm on a Saturday afternoon - pre-theatre I guess being in the West End. Great food as always served by extremely hard working but friendly staff. Probably the best chain about. Wish there were more of them! Good to see the set menu changing and providing real value for money. Wish I could get my Bolognaise to taste so good!

We had a lovely long lunch at The Spaghetti House. The service was extremely good and the waitresses a delight. The food was very tasty and the house red slipped down a treat. All rounded off with delicious profiteroles and the panettone pudding. A sweet wine with our dessert would have been the icing on the cake but none on offer! Never mind it was all wonderful as it was.

A second visit within a week speaks volumes for Spaghetti House in St Martin's Lane. Service, food, value and ambience all as good as ever.

Pizza was a bit disappointing but my boyfriend's veal was quite good. Service was slow but it's sort of cheap and cheerful.
