I had a lovely birthday meal with 4 friends. The service and food was fantastic. The Tamarind is my favourite location in Mayfair!

Tamarind in Mayfair. The food was fabulous and the setting gorgeous. We would thoroughly recommend this restaurant.

We went to Tamarind in Mayfair for a birthday celebration and I couldn't be more impressed with the level of service as all the staff were extremely attentive. The food was good and so were the cocktails, although it's not the most charming venue. Overall a nice meal but the service is what makes it stand out for me.

Tamarind London This was our second visit to this top-end Indian restaurant. Previously we had eaten in the evening when we found the food delicious but pricey. This time we had the set spring lunch which was delightful and felt like a true bargain. The restaurant was about half full and had a good atmosphere. The food was well judged and tasty, with substantial portions as the mains included rice, naans and vegetable side dishes. The service was a little over- attentive.

The restaurant was nice, but a bit overpriced. I was expecting something more modern-indian but was sllightly dissapointed. That's not to say the food wasn't good though!

Birthday outing for 3 to Tamrind in March. Beautiful restaurant with great service. Ate from set menu with recommended glass of wine per course. Lamb kebab starter lovely, multi veg potato cake promised much but was apparently bland. All 3 had the chicken curry main which was nice with lovely lentils and tasty aubergine. Only I had dessert with 2 extra spoons, but tiny half a gulab jamun+tiny scoop delicious ice cream barely enough for me let alone others to taste. Indian fine dining in summary

Tamarind,Mayfair, London was amazing! We went for the Shahi Dawat Menu and it was amazing! They top up any dish you wish and you leave feeling stuffed. Happy belly!

Great service from Tamarind. The rescheduling of our dinner was handled very professionally.

It worked out quite well as we were offered the Sunday lunch 2-for-the price of 1 set menu at £32. This was very good value and instead of choosing from the set menu they provided all options as a tasting menu. One in our group doesn't eat chicken; this was changed with no trouble at all.

Excellent service, food prepared to exhibit flavours. Worth it.

We had the Sunday lunch taster menu which was good value, the a la carte did look expensive. We enjoyed the food but felt that it lacked the wow factor of a Michelin star restaurant. The tilapia simmered in a sauce of tomato, coconut milk and tamarind with mustard and curry leaves was delicious. Service was good however atmosphere was somewhat lacking. There are so many great Indian restaurants in London that I felt that Tamrind didn't quite live up to the hype.

Fantastic service, excellent food, a bit expensive but a fine location for special occasions.

We had a fantastic dinner last week at Tamarind, 20 Queen Street in Mayfair. The food was fantastic as was the service. Would definitely recommend this restaurant.

We had an excellent lunchtime meal in Tamarind, Mayfair, London on Sunday. The Sunday lunch tasting menu comprised 3 courses - 3 starter choices, 2 mains choices with side dishes, and 3 desserts. We were served all dishes each of which was very well cooked and presented. The pleasant surprise came with the bill showing a 2 for 1 offer - so £16 per person. Excellent value for money.

Tamarind, Mayfair.

The food was very elegant and had a lot of flavour. I enjoyed the experience of dining in a michelin star restaurant.

Tamarind, London : Food was excellent, lovely flavours. Ambience relaxed. Would definitely recommend.

The Tamarind is one of a growing number of Indian restaurants in Mayfair. I went there for lunchtime and they had a very reasonably priced lunchtime menu. All 4 of us ordered from it and all enjoyed our meals. If we had more time, the a la carte menu looked interesting with a mix of favourites and some slightly different dishes. It made a pleasant change from some of the more pretentious restaurants in the area and I would recommend it.

Lovely food, good service. I was stuffed after the Valentines menu I had.

Tamarind Mayfair was a disappointment, the food did not taste of tradition Indian food, the prices were extremely pricey for the quality of food received.

Service at Tamarind was excellent, great decor & atmosphere but let down by the food which was very mild even though we asked them to make it spicier when we ordered.

Great value for a well-decorated restaurant. The food was excellent, and at the price and location where the restaurant sits, unbeatable.

Tamarind in London is a stylish restaurant located in the heart of Mayfair. The food was excellent, staff friendly. we got the pre-theatre offer of 3 courses for 28.50 and it was definitely worth the money. We had a little mix up with our order but the staff dealt with it ok. The only negative was that our main courses didnt arrive at the same time which shouldnt have happened in a michelin starred restaurant. overall would recommend if you can get a good deal. Best curry in London!
