About Tandoori Nights

The West End branch of this long-established North Indian haunt has proven just as popular in town as in the counties. Tandoori Nights has pleasant modern decor with influences of the Raj and a lively, friendly ambience that makes the very mixed clientele feel most welcome. Stick to favourites like onion bhaji or chicken tikka, or try starters of salmon boasabor (Goan spice) or hazarvi kebab (grilled cheese-marinated chicken), and mains like lamb cutlets or saag gosht. What they do with king prawns here is nobody's business - try the king prawn peri peri or king prawns with garlic, or any of the fish dishes. A great place to meet in a great location.

My partner and I went to Tandoori Nights in Covent Garden last Friday and overall it was a bit disappointing. Both our supposedly 'spicy' dishes were clearly very dulled down for the 'local market' as neither were spicy at all. Flavour was good enough, but points lost on authenticity (we've both lived in India). If you don't really 'know' your Indian food you'd enjoy this place - if you do, there are other places I'd recommend above this. Service however was good and attentive.

I booked a table at Tandoori Nights, Great Queen St, London for Saturday night, and was impressed by the efficiency of Top Table first of all, never having used it before. I was 1 minute late for my booking and I got a phone clall from the restaurant asking if I was going to be on time or late. We got a little bit hassled to begin with on arrival and for our drinks orders. But we were able to relax after that and enjoy the food, which was delicious.

Thoroughly enjoyed my meal here!

Opted for my favourite Chicken Tikka Masala and it was good cooked really well! Atmosphere was good, very buzzy and nice crowd in!

Staff were friendly and attentive, but not overbearing! Decor was smart as well.

Would definitely go back again and location is very handy for theatreland!

We had hoped that this restaurant was good Indian cuisine - it isn't! It's a curry house after a few too many drinks. We both chose a house speciality, one cicken one lamb and could not taste any difference in the thick glue called a sauce - disappointing to say the least.

we had a great meal with our family over the holidays. the service was attentive but no overbearing. the food was enjoyed by all of us. would return happily.

Great little indian restauarant, nice friendly service and a tasty meal. Will go there again!

Good curry and a buzzing atmostphere when we went on a Saturday night. We went on the £15 offer for 3 courses - good value. Only negative is that the coffee is aweful (instant) and the ice-cream (the desert) isn't great, so I would say its great for what you go for ie curry, but i think the extras (ice-cream and coffee) they perhaps should not do and stick to what they are good at - which is tasty curries at a reasonable price.

Standard Indian fare, not unpleasant but not very inspiring. They seemed a bit reluctant to give us the Toptable menu too.

We went to the Tandoori Night on a tuesday after work, friendly staff and the food was serve on time however is not much option on the menu.

We had a great time

Food was lovely and a good deal on the 3 courses for £15. Staff attentive and helpful.

Very good food. Will go back. Went for the 15 pounds 3 courses and felt quite filled before the dessert. Worth the price and everything was good.

Nice quiet place, needed a bit more ambience but it was a week day. Especially good value offer - 3 courses for £15 maybe even too much food! Would recommend but only with a voucher.

A great restaurant with really good food. Nice staff and good atmosphere. I will be going back and would recommend to others.

Location is also very convenient for any going out after as well!

Good food, good service, will be coming back again, recommended

The food was very lovely & tasted really great after a long shopping day, the service was good as well.

The food was ok, the place wasnt too busy due to the easter holiday.. the but the housewine wasnt too impressive... we had a good laugh with friends

Food was excellent at this place and staff were good as well. Definitely going back and would recommend as well.

The deal was good and portions were generous which is nice to see!

Tandoori Nights serves lovely tasting food at reasonable prices. A great place to go before a theatre trip. We told the waiter when we had to leave and the service was very quick and ensured we left exactly when we needed to. I will definitely go back.

Tandoori Nights near Covent Garden was a pleasant restaurant with nice staff. The food was good and the portions appeared generous. We ordered the set menu as we had booked a 3 course meal for £15 so it was good value. The 3 courses included additional portions of vegetables with the main meal and a dessert with tea or coffee afterwards. The dessert however only had the option of ice cream but it was nice.

The restaurant was simply decorated and clean. I would recommend it to a friend.

food was nice- small portions! The toptable deal didin't have enough choice, so we ate from the a la carte menu - ended up costing £109 for 4 people (4 starters, 4 mains, 1 rice, 2 nans, 1 chapati, 6 beers 2 wines).....was nice, but not as good as expected.
