About Thai Edge

Thai Edge is really a departure from the norm. Gone are the heavily themed, crimson shades and cluttered environments that are typically of oriental eateries. They are replaced by an approach that gives great emphasis to clean crisp lines, balance and intelligent use of space. Thai cuisine is popular for its subtle blending of flavours, utilising herbs and roots such as lemongrass, basil, coriander, galangal, krachai, ginger, garlic and chillies. Our menu has an extensive choice of 145 dishes for a complete Thai culinary experience. Head chef Mit Jeensanthai (Taiman) brings with him the recipes and techniques, perfected through years of experience, that give Thai Edge its authentic taste of Thailand.

Great fun, lovely food, excellent service and nice atmosphere

Overall @ under £25 a head the Thai Edge, Leeds is exceptional value for money which at the end of the day is the most important factor. The starters we had were outstanding and full of flavour and the portions were very generous as starters go, however, the green curry we had was slightly overpoweringly spicy which meant you couldn't taste anything else which lead to a disappointing main. Service was excellent and the ambience lead to an overall enjoyable experience.

Really nice minimalist decor to this place, nice ambience. The food was below average, the £15 sea bass was certainly frozen. The portion size was small considering the price. Disappointed. THAI EDGE-LEEDS

We have dined her on several occasions and it never disappoints. Excellent service, great food. See you again Thai Edge.

Thai Edge, Calverley Street, Leeds: booked for a Saturday night for 4 adults (2 couples). Greeted by a friendly waitress, shown to a lovely table and given menus. Ordered and food came within a good time. Overall: lovely Thai food (I have travelled extensively in Thailand), excellent and attentive service. Slightly overpriced for starters we felt, with main course around £9-£12 on average. An enjoyable evening.

service was friendly.

the restaurant is a good size, however I did not like being seated really close to other customers.. so close that I could hear their conversations. they seem to seat all the other customers that came after us on the same side, squashed within the same area which majorly affects the ambience. i was not happy with that.

food portions were of good size. beef tenderloin starter was disappointing, onions not cooked. satay beef was nice.

mains were average.

good retsaurant, good but predictable food for Thai. table spaced out therefore did not feel you were right next to another table. we all enjoyed the evening.

I went with my girlfriend to Thai Edge in Leeds. The décor was garish to say the least, and it ended up a bit more expensive than I envisaged, but the food was fine, if not memorable, and the service was nothing to complain about. Would I go there again? Probably not, but that is more to the price and the slightly tacky ambiance rather than the lack of service or food.

Thai Edge, Leeds

Delicious food and excellent service - we couldn't have asked for more. Highly recommend.

Beautiful food and excellent service

Very tasty and of a higher quality than most Thai restaurants I have been to.

Booked for Valentines night. As usual food was excellent. Service impeccable. Possibly over priced.

Very good value for money! I have been many times for the lunch offer, the soup was extremely tasty and i also recommend the panaeng curry!

Wonderful food

The food, atmosphere and service were excellent. Probably the best Thai restaurant in Leeds.

Very poor service let's down good food.

Catered well for our large group, the set menu offered a good choice or everyone, and the vegie was catered for with no fuss.

The Edge in Leeds was a lovely authentic Thai meal. The food was fantastic and service excellent.

Thai Edge, Leeds - really nice atmosphere, great staff and a great diverse menu - plenty of vegetarian choice as well. Had a main course only.

Thai Edge in Leeds was excellent - the venue was nice and the food was fantastic. Everything we ate was nice. We ordered a selection of things for starter and then shared our mains. I could have eaten everything off the menu and plan to go back to work my way through it. Plus they give you 15% student discount, so if you're not a student take one with you! Although it is good value without the discount anyway.
