About The Coriander

Located on Kennington Lane in Vauxhall, south London, The Coriander is part of a small chain of British Indian restaurants that are known for their bright and cosmopolitan interiors, modern curries and regular clientele. Decorated with sunny lemon walls, burgundy banquettes and blonde wooden floors, The Coriander attracts young professionals, local families and couples and also has a popular takeaway service. Chef's specialties at The Coriander include the lamb Aam Diya cooked with mango, cream and coconut sauce garnished with sultanas; the Tandoori King Prawn Masala cooked in a sauce made from almonds and coconuts and special tandoori spices; and the Ajwani salmon – fresh Scottish salmon chargrilled in the tandoor with lemon juice, ginger and carom.

Waiters seemed a bit reserved and not very friendly. My dish was supposed to have sultanas but did not. However, the food was otherwise good and the ambiance OK.

Went to coriander for a quick dinner out, the food was good but I felt my korma was a bit bland. Nan breads and accompaniments were delicious though. There was no offer on and I thought it was a bit expensive for what we got. It also took a while to get our food and they seemed to be preoccupied with takeaway orders.

Another great experience. Only down side is they didn't get my booking so had to wait half an hours. On the upside, the fact it was so busy shows you what excellent food and service it provides.

Excellent meal at the coriande, as always..

The Coriander Leaf, Vauxhall, SE11

As always the service was great and the meal delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant. In fact it's probably the best Indian restaurnat I have visited.

excellent as always.

We went to the coriander restaurant last night in Vauxhall. It was a cozy venue, with attentive staff and reasonable prices (despite no offer). The food was very tasty and they had a wide range of dishes, many that you do not see usually, my partner was very impressed by their peshwari naan bread. Luckily we hadn't gone as a romantic date as I do not think the restaurant is suited to intimate occasions but more relaxed dining.

Very friendly service and tasty authentic curry - a very enjoyable evening at The Coriander, Vauxhall.

Small Indian close to vauxhall tube offering fantastic food for a very good price.

We have just moved to the area and had heard that The Coriander near Vauxhall was an excellent start. It was brilliant - the food was varied and delicious, we were a bit late but accommodated very well, and the service was attentive and good humoured, whilst not being intrusive. Good value for money, the seven of us were all thoroughly satiated, and I will definitely be returning. I also cannot wait to try their take away! Will become a firm favourite!

Great service, amazing food, LARGE portions!

The Coriander was full [and rather noisy] on a Wednesday night so I was glad we booked. The food was excellent and not expensive. My partner's House Special chicken, with minced lamb was unusual and delicious. The pilau rice was tasty and cooked to perfection. We will certainly return. [But hope the loud Lancashire lads will not be there again].

Had an enjoyable meal at The Coriander. Very tasty food and friendly helpful staff. Good value too!

Love coriander! Fantastic food and great service! They always make us feel at home! Every dish was excellent!

Another fab meal at the coriander. They never disappoint.

My meal at The Coriander at Vauxhall was amazing as usual. Great food, service and atmosphere, nothing to fault. Had drinks, starters, mains, sides and a desert all for under £50! I am a regular customer for both takeaways and eating in and will be returning.

Second time to the Coriander and another great meal, good food and service. Excellent local restaurant.

We had a really nice meal in The Coriander. The lamb curry was so flavoursome it was amazing. Really fresh herbs made the difference.

I had a prawn dish that was really nice too. I've never eaten naan bread that's so fresh. Unfortunately the popadoms were a little bit stale. I would definitely return if I was in the area.

The Coriander had great food and good service, and at a reasonable price. I think I'll go back again!

another fab meal at the coriander.
