About The Gaylord

Battersea Rise’s very own Gaylord Restaurant seems to have found the ideal recipe to set it apart from other Indian restaurants, of which London boasts perhaps too many. Not only is the décor simple and modern with touches of colour throughout the coffee and cream toned interior and comfortable banquettes providing easy seating, but the Gaylord menu is surprisingly simple too. Cutting down the usually extensive choices to only the very best and most popular with good descriptions of each and much care going in to every dish, The Gaylord’s menu is among the best in the area, not to mention the most reasonably priced. Excellent, restrained but friendly service completes a very impressive picture.

Felt it was a little expensive for what we had... £80 for two without even a starter

Great food as always

Great service in this cosy restaurant up Battersea Rise - delicious curry especially the king prawn dish at £14.95. Would definitely visit again.

Excellent food and service

The staff are friendly and the food never disappoints. Best curry in the Clapham area.

We had visited the Gaylord Battersea a couple of times before, and decided tor eturn as it is always a safe bet for a good curry! On this occasion the standard was even higher than on previous visits. both the food and the wine were delicious, but it was the service that really stood out. We had a three week old baby with us and they couldn't do enough to accomodate our needs. They were helpful and polite. As for the meal itself, let's just say all plates were clear! we will definitely return.

Gaylord, Clapham - good, reliable food, excellent service. Place was quiet when we arrived and lime pickles were not on the menu (!) but otherwise, a fine meal.

Gaylord Restaurant - Battersea Rise. Took my dad out as he loves this place - excellent service, good curry. The prawn dish that the waiter recommended was brilliant. Have been before, and would definitely return again.

The Gaylord in Clapham is a superb curry house. Dishes have a nice amount of spice and the chef specialties are all extremely good. Service is friendly and efficient and there is always a lively atmosphere.

We really enjoyed our meal here. The staff were able to recommend some dishes that we really liked. Freshly cooked, polite staff but slightly more than we were expecting but worth it.

The music was comedy. I don't remember the last time I heard agadoo...

Good restaurant. Winning name. Small but busy. Food very good if not the cheapest. Service a bit brusque and pushy but fine.

We went to the Gaylord indian restaurant last night and were really impressed with the food. The currys we all had were lovely and were made with really good quality meat. I will definitely tell my friends to give it a go. The only negative is that they were in quite a rush to get us eaten and out, think they might have lined somebody else up for our table. Apart from that, we had a fab night.

Very good meal - menu was interesting. Very small restaurant and really nicely done inside. Would recommend and return.
