Biggest problem - we booked a table for 6 and they gave us a table for 4, and then squeezed 2 of us the end. We were constantly knocked by waiters and other customers and had the corner of the table digging in my stomach. Reallynot ok, although they were apologetic and gave us a free bottle of wine. Overall the service is charming but not very efficient, and the food was really good, but not necessarily good value (£7 for two slices of potato and a quarter of boiled egg?!). But atmosphere great!

very good food and amazing kind fast service!

My partner and I visited Tierra Perú on a busy Saturday evening. We liked our first pisco sour (orange and coconut); less so the second round which came with a tad of cinnamon at the top (although we asked for an encore of the first). Our main courses were ají de gallina and lomo saltado de carne. They were both recommended. Their presentation was good but I was expecting more meat and less onions. The service was good but we felt a bit uncomfortable being squeezed against a wall.

Tierra Peru in London was bustling on a Sunday evening before a bank holiday Monday. The waiters were handsome and hilarious and the very best part of a nice evening for four of us. Regarding the food, the starters were outstanding, the mains less stellar but still very nice and unusual, a welcome change of flavours. There are lots of seafood and fish choices, as well as the more usual chicken, beef, pork and lamb.

Food was ok, not great. Service was poor/non-existent (but bill came with service automatically included) - they mixed up our starters with another table, had to request for water several times, plates weren't cleared after main course, etc. Will not hurry to go back. If you are looking for a romantic dinner venue, this is not the place to go to - noisy and tables set too close.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, offering recommendations on the menu and drinks, and as the night went on, the atmosphere in the restaurant warmed up. We had two of the traditional main courses, which were very tasty, with lots of unusual flavours. Would recommend to try Peruvian dishes, and would probably return in the future.

Tierra Peru was a bit out of the way, but well worth the trek. The Pisco Sours were fantastic, and while the wine list is short the Peruvian tempranillo we chose was very nice. There is only one toilet, which meant there was a need to queue. The food was delcious - so much on the menu was tempting. Will go back to try out a few of the interesting sounding dished.

Tierra Peru is a lovely little restaurant on Essex road, away from the hustle and bustle of Upper St and serves beautiful food! The staff are very happy, helpful and very accommodating. The food is full of Peruvian flavours and very tasty. Highly recommend it!

Went to Teirea Peru for dinner Friday. Great service, lovely staff and excellent food. Pisco sours were also top notch. Look forward to returning.
