About Valentina

Located on Notting Hill Gate, the delicatessen and restaurant not only offers the family’s signature range of own label groceries, which features 22 types of antipasti; 8 different wheatgerm pastas; 18 olive oils and 10 jams & honeys, but also store cupboard essentials and a range of fresh food.

The delicatessen has over 30 types of regional Italian cheese, as well as artisan charcuterie and a range of ready prepared foods from the restaurant kitchens to take home and serve.

Our restaurant serves hearty peasant style fare using recipes that have been passed through our family in the village of St Elia for generations.

Restaurant at the back of what looks like a very good Italian deli. We had pizza, seafood pasta and calves liver, all were excellent. Service very friendly and helpful. Really nice atmosphere. Have got into 'bad' habit of going to pizza chains and using money off vouchers. But felt good for the soul to support an independent restaurant and pay a fair price for good food.

Valentina in Notting Hill was a good venue for a quick dinner with friends. Friendly service and decent, well-priced Italian food.

Third time eating at Valentina definitely NOT lucky. Previous occasions impressed by excellent quality of ingredients and care in cooking and presentation. A small selection of good (not great) wines, sensibly priced, especially by the glass. However, yesterday, although the staff as simpatico as ever (including one signora who had started only two days ago), we were disappointed by the food. Calzone, pizza and pasta overcooked. Patisserie were not at all up to the standards we know in Italy.

Valentina in Notting Hill is a lovely little low-key Italian restaurant behind the deli of the same name. The menu has an extensive choice of authentic dishes and the wine list is simple but good. I won't be rushing back but if I'm in the area I would certainly pop back in for lunch.

Good place for an informal meal. The food was fresh and delicious, the service fine, if not very fast. Ambience-wise, half the restaurant opens up onto the shop counter, so not super-intimate, but recommended for a low-key dinner.

Valentina was a lovely little restaurant. Food was good (not incredible but good). Staff lovely if a little slow

We like Valentina -it reminds us of home a bit (salumeria/cheeses counter especially) and remains quite authentic through mainly Italian staff and sound cooking. Pizza's are a bit dough-y but not bad and the menu is not too long. Starters and Primi also have nice mix of options.Try the Rana Pescatrice starter (although I feel it didn't need so many acidic tomatoes), or the quail (unfortunately hardly a trace of stuffing, but good). Its more than ok for a quick meal and the ambience is nice.

We had great food and enjoyed the intimate atmosphere the surroundings provide. The highlight was the perfectly cooked calves liver - creamy and tender with loads of flavour. The friendly staff made our meal welcoming and relaxed. Will definitely visit again when in the area next.

Valentina, Notting Hill London Better than ever. Two people had pastas which were extra-ordinary...I had a delicious medium rare steak w. a rocket salad. Desserts were unbelievable also. Service delightful!

had to leave quickly as needed a loo and the steps going down are very steep and dangerous. I do NOT understand why restaurants in this country are not obliged to have disabled facilities.

This gets better and better. Incredible food, and SO KIND! They got us a lovely plate of fruit on the house and we enjoyed everything including the wine, the service (Massimo and Antonio the Manager) Back tonight for more. Chocolate cake wowing but cheese cake poor. TOILETS ARE TOO FAR DOWN. I AM PARTLY DISABLED AND HAVE TO RUSH HOME.

Valentina, Notting Hill, London. incredible food last night. we had a variety of dishes, mussels, seabass, and steak. All good portions and nice service. Place was packed full. Linen napkins (why not at lunch too???) and wonderful red wine.

Valentinia, Notting Hill, London

They kindly had bought fruit for dessert (I was there a week prior and asked them to). There was a huge platter with hard, ergo inedible fruit. We each had a peach and shared half the grapes on the platter. They charged us £18.00 for this pleasure. I queried it and they reduced it to £12. Ridiculous. Pizza was all raw mushy dough in the middle. Not great.

Valentina in Notting Hill gate, London. WONDERFUL dinner. Everyone was happy. Fab wine. Very good service by one of the managers. BUT VERY SURPRISING THAT THEY HAVE ONLY 4 HOT MAIN COURSES....WANTED TO SEE MORE FISH GRILLS ETC. EVEN THE SPECIAL OF THE DAY WAS YET ANOTHER PASTA. ALSO, PORTIONS ARE MEAN...WHICH MAKES IT A MORE EXPENSIVE PLACE. THE STEAK WAS DELICIOUS BUT CAME WITH HALF A CUP OF ROCKET AND PARMESAN SHAVINGS...THE CALVES LIVER WAS A TINY PORTION ROLLED AROUND SOME ASPARAGUS.

Valentina Restaurant, Notting Hill Gate

An excellent evening. Friendly reception, prompt and pleasant service. The menu is slightly limited, but our calves' liver was perfectly cooked and delicious. Very pleasant bottle of wine and excellent puddings at reasonable cost.

I went with my wife and a friend to Valentina, Notting Hill for a 7:30 booking on a Saturday night. The food was excellent and very reasonably priced. Our waiter was attentive but not intrusive and even gave us some olives on the house after we had some fun with him. There's a big wine list and a well thought out menu. It's a great atmosphere, classy but comfortable. We'd all definitely eat there again.

Fabulous to see such an authentic Italian restaurant open in Notting Hill at such reasonable prices. This is my new favorite restaurant in my area....

Valentina Notting Hill - pretty much perfect: good food, good wine list, excellent unobtrusive service, great ambience and sophisticated other diners. I had the liver as my main course, it was a generous portion cooked to my requested specification (pink). My companion chose differently but was equally pleased.

We did not spend any time looking in the delicatessen but a walk-through impression was that it is very good.

We had to re-ask for our olives but otherwise service was good. My partner didn't like her pizza as it had too much truffle oil so that was all you could taste. I nailed mine so thought it was good. I would go again but my partner won't.

Valentina Notting Hill was perfect for supper before the Gate Theatre. Everyone enjoyed their meal and I loved my gnocchi with wild boar sauce.

Good food, friendly service, lovely room. Great deli to but from as well.
