About Wedgwood The Restaurant

Wedgwood restaurant is a oasis of restrained elegance amidst the tide of tartan that lines the Royal Mile – tourists and locals fall on it with cries of gratitude. Lisa Channon manages the front-of-house with warm élan while partner, chef Paul Wedgwood, constructs his inventive modern Scottish dishes. Wedgwood’s signature dishes include fillet of lamb rolled in couscous, pistachio and black onion seed on gingered sweet potato puree with cardamom cream sauce and diver-caught king scallops in caul fat on a bed of haggis with grain mustard and pepper sauce. Blistering wine list, spiffy service, seasonally changing menu, great experience.

Great food and good value - would easily become a regular haunt if we lived closer!

Excellent meal, and great service. 3 excellent causes and decent portions. Food wasnt picky, it was lovely and flavoursome. I had the pigeon for starter and steak for main, and both were cooked to perfection!

I would highly recommend this, great for special occassions!

great food, fab venue for business dinner.

Excellent as always. Probably in my top 3 restaurants in Edinburgh.

Absolutely fantastic! I took my wife there for her birthday and they treated us brilliantly. I asked in advance for a table upstairs (which is a must!) and they accommodated us perfectly

The food was impeccable and the staff were very knowledgeable with the menu and giving wine/whisky recommendations.

I'll definitely be going here again next time I'm in Edinburgh!

Creative combination of food. Good service. Good list of wine. The room is kind of small.

As always Wedgwood didn't disappoint - everything super from the champagne with amuse bouche to the sticky toffee pudding. Special mention for the venison haggis - absolutely superb! Well done to the team - a great evening despite the downpour getting there!

Wedgwood The Restaurant - Lovely meal, great wine selection, excellent service. We will definately return.

We enjoyed a post 6 Nations meal at the Wedgewood Restaurant in Edinburgh and the fillet steak was cooked to perfection with the best sticky toffee pudding I have had in a while . Service was excellent , polite staff , not intrusive but aware of the train we had to catch and provided great prompt service. The meal was good value and price.

WE DINED AT THE WEDGEWOOD EDINBURGH ON 13TH DECEMBER 2011.THE SEVICE WAS EXCELLENT AND THE STAFF VERY FRIENDLY AND WELL INFORMED.THE FOOD WAS EXCELLENT WITH A GOOD CHOICE TO SUIT ALL TASTES.THE ONLY PROBLEM WAS ON ENTERING THE RESTAURANT WHICH IS QUITE SMALL WAS BUSY AND WE WERE OFFERED SEATING DOWNSTAIRS.MY HUSBAND IS DISABLED AND THE STAIRS PRESENTED A PROBLEM. THE STAFF IMMEDIATELY OFFERED US A ALTERNATIVE TABLE UPSTAIRS BUT POINTED OUT THAT THE TOILETS WERE DOWNSTAIRS.A POINT TO REMEMBER.

Very heavy food! Decent enough but took me about 3 days to digest! I like my meat rare, but it was extremely pink - considering they didn't ask how I wanted it.

Wedgewood, Edinburgh. sophisticated restaurant, though we were given a strange table downstairs which did detract from the mood. starter of panko fried mullet, great and interesting. fillet steak, good cut of meat, bit well done, but good never the less. service, friendly and attentive.

Strangely, on the day we were due to visit the restaurant they left a message on our answering machine asking us to re-confirm our booking. A bit irritating.

Meal itself was fine, cooking to a high standard. Service was pretty good.

Seemed slightly pricey for what it was, but probably about par for Edinburgh.

I would have liked to have been thanked for my custom. That always leaves a good impression.

Birthday outing for my partner - we loved it! Simple surroundings and concentration on good food, mixing strong flavours to brilliant effect. Low on scallops, Paul was happy to offer up those he had left with pork belly as starter size, so my partner didn't miss out on what he really wanted. Only gripe was that the venison wasn't as tender as it should've been. Fantastic restaurant with excellent staff - we look forward to revisiting.

Lovely food and really good service at the Wedgwood. The pressed apple juices are lovely.

Food was really well presented and really tasty.

Our meal at Wedgwood in Edinburgh was excellent. The chef readily replaced the meat part of the amuse bouche with a veggie version and did the same with the ham in part of my main. Service was attentive without being intrusive and offering to arrange a taxi at the end of the meal was much appreciated.

Wedgwood The Restaurant is a great restaurant. Friendly and attentive service, tasty food, good wine selection and cosy ambience. Highly recommended.

Wedgwood is wonderful. I've been several times, with different groups of people, and everyone has loved it. Food that is an interesting twist on classic flavours and ingredients, but always focused on taste first. The service is warm and efficient at the same time, without being at all fussy or pretentious. It's a perfect balance of what I like in a restaurant.

Wedgwood The Restaurant was lovely. The food was delicious and although appears to be small portions we were actually very full at the end of our meal. The lobster starter was smooth and delicious and the pork belly main melts in your mouth. Service was excellent - we had a 9.15pm booking but we didn't feel rushed to leave when we were still there at 11.30pm. Cosy and romantic venue in a good location.

A truly excellent meal in a friendly and stylish environment. There's a good choice of interesting dishes - I had rabbit wrapped in proscutto on spinach for my main course. My food and those of the people around me was well presented. The service was excellent. The restaurant is small and busy - so booing is essential, but quiet and intimate.
