Food was quite average - the sandwich bread was slightly dry, and the tea/ dessert cakes were unimpressive. The scones however were very good and flavoury. Service was friendly, attentive but not intrusive. Ambience is great, quite, bright and relaxing - that's exactly what you pay for with £38 pp.
We have just experienced afternoon tea at the beautiful Corinthia Hotel in London in the Lobby Lounge. It was a wonderful traditional afternoon tea served with elegance in a beautiful setting. I would highly recommend this venue.
Took my mum to the Lobby Lounge at the Corinthia Hotel London for afternoon tea. Was beautiful, lovely decor and enjoyable sandwiches, scones and fancies - good for a special treat.
Amazing setting. Service was a bit unattentive and for the £47 per head I would have expected something a bit more special from the food which was quite standard.
Afternoon tea at the Corinthia was a really nice experience. All of the cakes were lovely and the cream tea was as good as a cream tea can be! The staff were really attentive and we were able to sit there for a couple of hours and chill out. A great good friday!
Really friendly staff, even offered us more complimentary tea and scones when we had finished. Would recommend ! Lovely decor too.
We had Afternoon Tea at the Lobby Lounge at the Corinthia Hotel in celebration of my birthday. The staff were friendly and could not have been more helpful! We were repeatedly asked if we would like our sandwiches and cakes to be refreshed which was a welcome offer as we generally tend to prefer the sandwiches more than the cakes. We ended up staying there for long after we had finished our meal and were were not in any way pressured to leave. I would definitely recommend it!
The Lobby Lounge is stunning location, but the service was uneven. There appeared to be a shift change while we were there but no proper handover so service just stopped for about 20 minutes.
The cakes were excellent, but the sandwiches were ordinary and the scones were disappointing.
The lobby lounge at the Corinthia hotel was beautiful. Peaceful but modern friendly atmosphere and friendly staff. Can't fault it!
Superb afternoon tea at the Corinthia- 5 Stars all the way!!!!
Lovely scones and great selection tea. Beautiful place and service is excellent.
We choose Afternoon Tea at the Corinthia in London after reading the great reviews, as our usual favourite haunt was closed for refurbishment. The service, sandwiches, pastries and selection of teas were all great. However, we did not think the Lobby Lounge had the ideal ambience for afternoon tea. There was no gentle music and it was very draughty sitting around the central floral display, as the entrances either side of the hotel caused a wind tunnel when the doors were opened.
Afternoon Tea at the Lobby Lounge is a wonderful experience - very centrally located. Lovely fresh sandwiches with delicious fillings and really excellent cakes - the apple and poppy seed cake is delicious.
Civilized afternoon - opted for the champagne tea - could have been a bit more generous with the champers. Extra sandwiches and pastries can be asked for which is nice. Service was good on the whole, but we did have to ask for milk at the table (it's tea in UK - milk is usually taken) and refills of the tea pot. Lovely lounge.
We went to the Corinthia Hotel for Afternoon Tea at the Lobby Lounge for my mums 60th birthday. The food was lovely as was the variety. Service was impeccable and she very much enjoyed her day. Would reccommend.
Afternoon Tea at The Lobby Lounge was lovely, great atmosphere, service and the tea and pastries were excellent. Good champagne served also! Would definitely return.
First time visit to the Lobby Lounge and was impressed by the quality of the food and service. overall was a superb place to chill out in the afternoon!
Lovely room for tea, but too many 'misses' in a hit-and-miss seating arrangement. Very expensive for what you get, but then afternoon tea is an expensive business. There were two of us and we halved each of the 8 cakes presented to us, so that we got literally a mouthful of each. Two were out of this world - an apple mousse cake and a cranberry cheesecake. The scones were good. Otherwise, I found it quite n average experience really.
We visited the Lobby Lounge at the Cirinthia Hotel with high expectations having read the top table reviews and we were not disappointed.
It was a superb experience very attentive but not over the top service, comfortable seating area, a lovely atmosphere and importantly a fabulous tea with complimentary seconds. Would certainly recommend it to anyone for afternoon tea.
Not cheap but certainly worth it for a special occasion.
Excellent afternoon tea, this was the second time I went. The service is still very nice and attentive. The fancies are very good. The waiters keep on asking whether you want refills... and the atmosphere and decoration of the Corinthia are lovely... No one is rushing you to leave so you can really spend 2 or 3 hours relaxing... Pure happiness!
I went there with my nan for her birthday and she loved it. It was classy but not pretentious. Sandwiches and cakes were very good and the tea menu is incredible. I would definitely recommend it!
Absolutely loved the atmosphere ans service there! We were asked several times if we wanted more tea, more sandwiches or fancies... Food is very good. The lounge is gorgeous... A moment of joy and relaxation!
This was our first time at the Corinthia Hotel in Whitehall London. As a treat I decided to book a table for my mother and I for afternoon tea as a birthday present for her and it was a fantastic experience! The customer service was impeccable, the staff were all extremely friendly and warm and welcoming. The presentation of the food was beautiful and of course very delicious. The lounge itself was stunning! Definitely coming back and have also recommended it to my friends!
My three girlfriends and I had a lovely afternoon tea at The Lobby Lounge in the new Corinthia Hotel, Whitehall. The service was great and they kept asking if we would like more sandwiches and more scones! Delicious food and tea too. Will be going again!
Champagne afternoon tea in the Lobby Lounge at the Corinthia Hotel is a real treat. Staff were friendly and extremely helpful, offered extra portions of everything, and packaged up the remaining cakes to take away. Surroundings are fabulous. Highly recommended - we will be back.
We had a perfect afternoon tea at the Lobby Lounge , The setting was cool, modern and elegant and the quality of the service was superb. The quality of the food was excellent and refills of everything were on offer. Sandwiches were great, particularly the beef and the salmon, the scones had lashings of cream and 2 types of jam and the cakes were just fantastic. We are foodies and not easily impressed! Try some different teas - I was recommended an obscure Japanese green tea - very good.
