Very pleasant evening although found we were the only over 60,s present. Food and service excellent. Table waitress AMY very proffesional; and made us feel at ease. Only downside was the service charge added to bill. I personally would have given her more due to service

Amazing atmosphere, great food!
I hadn't seen my girlfriend for a few months so decided to take her out and spoil her with a romantic dinner for two. The food was absolutly amazing it was just a shame the service wasn't as good. The staff were all hudled around each other chatting while our food was waiting on the hot plate for at least 20mins. Then the staff decided that they were going to rearrange the restaurant draging tables and chairs around right next to us making a terrible racket. We were going to stay for dessert but were so dissapointed we left and grabbed something from a shop on way home.
We've booked on the back of good reviews but were disappointed. One of the main meals was a steak that came unseasoned and at such poor quality meat that my boyfriend had to leave most of it untouched. A side dish of spinach was overly salty. When we've mentioned this to our waitress, she was very helpful and although the spinach was taken of our bill we still got charged full price of £25 for the steak. Definitely wouldn't rush back, I'm afraid.
Went to Hard Days Night Hotel (aka Blakes) with friends on a Saturday night. Warmly received by the staff, met friends in the bar. Menu was varied and interesting, some things seemed better value than others. Vowed to return before 7 another night to sample the early bird menus as these seemed excellent value. A good night all in all
Lovely meal in a beatles themed restaurant. Would recommend highly.
Blakes, Liverpool This is the third time in as many months I have visited Blakes. The first was great, however, the last two times the service has left a lot to be desired. We collected our own drinks from the bar as we waited that long for them to be served! I wouldn't mind but it was empty! Food is ok, was amazing on my first visit. Dont think I'll rush back.
Thoroughly enjoyed our evening at Blakes in the Hard Days Night Hotel. Meal excellent, best steaks we've had for along time. Perhaps some vegetables could be included with the meal apart from side orders. Service a little dippy but staff were very apologetic and sorted things out very quickly.
Went on a Sat night with my wife and in-laws and had a really pleasant evening. Food, service and atmosphere all good. Servive is attentive without being stuffy and atmos is laid back but not so much that you don't feel like you're having a 'night out'. We were there for two and hlf hours and it flew by. Our second visit and we will go back.
Good value lunch here. Chicken salad was nice to start. Fish and Chips was very good, bought in frozen fries let it down though...should be home-made. Rare beef salad was good but a bit on the small side. Service wasnt the quickest from the waiting on staff to be honest...a little annoying when it is quiet. Really recommend overall for a good set menu...
We had a very enjoyable evening with good quality well prepared food and excellent service. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting an evening of fine dining in comfortable surroundings.
Overall value with the £9.95 two course menu was fantastic. After a slow start with the staff abd trying to grab someones attention we managed to order drinks. Food all excellent and an overcooked fried egg was corrected very quickly thank you. Music could be a little louder as its so quiey during the afternoon. Would highly recommend!!!
enjoyable evening good food good ambience staff very friendly and welcoming
We ate at Blakes in Liverpool recently. Not the cheapest, but the best steak I have eaten in this country! Friendly efficient service too.
A la carte menu a little expensive for what it was, but the set menu was reasonable and food was nice
It was ok but very busy and quite a long wait for food. There were a few things we ordered that they didn't have. One of the receptionists in the hotel was not very helpful and that also marred the experience.
What an absolutely wonderful restaurant, the location is brilliant, the food is out of this world. The service so attentive. Would recommend to go to Blakes in Liverpool
A meal at Blakes in Liverpool is an essential part of any visit to the city's Beatles-themed Hard Days Night hotel. Small but delicious menu offering a range of fish, meat and vegetarian dishes. Extensive wine list. Expect to pay around £30 per head for dinner - but there are excellent value lunch deals available.
Blakes, Hard days night hotel, Liverpool. Fantastic restaurant, from start to finish everything about this restaurant was spot on, staff, food, ambience and value was perfect, the staff here couldnt be more helpful and its location is an added plus highly recommend a stay in the hotel as well. Well done definitely deserve your high diner rating
Fantastic, we we're made comfortable from when we walked in to when we left, staff great, food lovely, wine better. Taxi's outside the door, will visit again, give it a try.

If you are celebrating a birthday, anniversary or special event this is a great place to visit; you will be treated royally. Highly recommended.!
We had a weekend lunch at Blakes Restaurant(A Hard Days Night Hotel). My husband, my 2 year old son and I had a lovely meal. We ordered from the set menu (£13.50 for 3 courses). The food was delicious. The portions were all of a good size . The service was friendly annd professional. The surroundings were to a high standard. Lots of Beatles related memorabilia would interest any fans! All in all a great meal. I will definitely return sooner rather than later.
we ate at blakes in liverpool pre concert at the arena we had two coures for £9.95 which was great value although the portions are relatively small they were ok for us for those with a bigger appetite i would imagine they would still be hungry the a la carte menu was quite pricey starters were £10 and mains started at £25 as was the wine ok for a special occasion i suppose and not pre concert
Blakes restaurant at the Hard Days Night Hotel, Liverpool. The whole experiance was excellant from the moment we arrived to the moment we left, we would recommend without hesitation.
Blakes Restaurant was very civilised and the staff were great at accomodating us (as we had changed from 20 people to 10 then back up to 15). The meals were excellent, the meat was cooked to perfection. Perhaps a little over priced or may I suggest they keep the same price but add a more generous serving of vegetables. Overall a very pleasant and tasty evening.
Do not order steaks there! They only know one way of cooking -well done.
Blakes (Liverpool) was almost an excellent dining experience. the starters and mains were well thought out and almost perfectly executed (save for veal which was too dry). it was let down by painfully slow and inexpert service and a very disappointing cheese board. on the verge of being great but, for the price range, it needs to buck it's ideas up a little bit. one to watch
Friendly service as it was my mums birthday also very accomadating as my daughter is vegetarian and they whippped her up something. 3 course meal good all round value.
Limited menu but excellent quality.
I was a little dissapointed with Blakes as we had a booking for 9pm and was asked to wait in the lounge area next door as our table was not ready. This was not a problem however we waited 20 minutes to be asked for a drink and then it took another 10 minutes to come. When our table was ready it was 9.40pm so a lot of the other diners had left. Our food came promptly and was very nice however the staff then started moving tables and setting up for breakfast around us while we ate.
Blakes restaurant, Liverpool. Superb service and good value. Staff exceptionally polite and accommodating We wanted to eat off the early bird menu but they did not have a booking slot available in this time period however they extended their offer to us despite eating later.
Excellent ambiance. Very good value. Ate early. Food tasty. Very good service.
We went for the first time to Blakes in the Hard Days Night Hotel in Liverpool. They do a set lunch menu for £9.95 for two courses which is good value .Hubby and.I had the pork terrine to start which was lovely and my son had the chicory salad which he said was very bland. We both had the stew and dumplings which was unfortunately dry and overcooked and my husband had the fish and chips which he enjoyed. Its a shame as the restaurant is lovely with a great ambience and very comfortable.
Blakes at the Hard Days Night Hotel was well worth a visit. The food was excellent and all in very good value for money. The staff were friendly and very impressed with the settings.I would highly recommend this place and will certainly be going again.
Blakes at The Hard Days Night Hotel, Liverpool Fantastic food and beautiful surroundings. The staff were friendly and courteous and the menu extensive. The portions are typical of the Neaveou Cuisuine style but perfectly presented and surprisingly filling. The food was excellent and the wine was also to a very high standard.
Excellent value set menu. Food above average quality. Service excellent.
A busy bustling but relaxed restaurant. Good quality food, wine list pretty pricey and service attentive but not overly fussy. All made for an enjoyable evening and strongly recommended as a prime Liverpool eating venue.
Hard Days Night Hotel, Central Buildings, 41 North John Street, Liverpool, L2 6RR Very enjoyable. The food and surroundings were excellent. Would recommend.
Excellent venue, good selection on the menu. Everyone said how enjoyable the meal was and how good the service
Had heard good reviews about Blakes restaurant at the Hard Day's Night Hotel in Liverpool & looked forward to visiting. The experience lived up to the recommendations - service was spot on, food excellent and all in all very good value for money. Will definitely be returning.
Blakes in nice position in centre of Liverpool so good for lunch if on shopping trip. Not very busy so lacked a bit of atmosphere. Service very good and food extremely tasty. Portions quite small on main courses but overall a nice lunch in a very nice place
