I really enjoyed our meal. The staff were fabulous and they All made the night feel like it was a special occasion as they were very attentive without being intrusive. The meal was wonderful and I will most certainly be going back and recommending it to others.

We had a lovely meal at the City Cafe in the Hilton Hotel in Manchester on Saturday night. The food was lovely, the staff very friendly. We tried a Brizillian red wine which we had not had before and it was good. The meal was good value with 50% of the food. We will certainly go back again.

The TT deal at City Cafe was fantastic value for such a high quality meal, served professionally in a modern but comfortable environment. Would definitely recommend.

Lovley restaurant, brilliant staff

City Cafe (Manchester) was a surprise gem of a restaurant. My initial scepticism was proven to be totally unfounded. The food was excellent quality; even simple dishes (such as the leek and potato soup) were made with a unique twist - it is clear that there are some very talented cooks in the kitchen. The quality of the food was matched by the service, which was the best I have ever received. If I ever return to Manchester, this is a place I will definitely return to.

Went to City Cafe, Manchester on a Saturday night. This is a fantastic deal, and the food was much better than expected aswell. The food was nearly as good as Michael Caines over the road.

I had a fantastic experience dining at this restaurant, the service was wonderful and the food was brilliant. The staff could not have been more helpful.

City Café, Restaurant and Bar - Manchester

Very good value, very attentive service- a good night had by all!!

City Cafe and Bar Manchester Fantastic! Excellent service and food. Great atmosphere, cannot fault it.

great offer gin, vodka or bacardi for arriva drink great 3 course deal with wine well worth it, good staff very professional and attentive

Good food but a little bit expensive for what it was we thought

City cafe Manchester. A great place for a birthday meal or special occasion. The special £25 for three courses meal deal plus wine and a welcoming drink is fantastic value. Staff are efficient as well.

City Cafe, Manchester overall was a great experience! The standard of the food was excellent, the scallop raviolli was scrummy and the seabass and trout mains were also very tasty. Service was okay, nothing special but good. The only thing which was a little flat was the ambience, nice venue just felt a little sterile.

The Early Dining Offer (two courses from the Market menu with a glass of wine) at the City Café in Manchester is exceptionally good value. The menu offers an excellent choice of dishes, such as mackerel with rhubarb jelly, sea bream on a bed of couscous, or belly pork with shallots. These come perefectly cooked and beautifully presented. The service is attentive without being ostentatious. We will definitely return next time we are in Manchester.

Thoroughly good food and the champagne was just terrific. But the waitress was a gem. Professional and charming. Will go again.

city cafe manchester lovely meal but portions quite small

Wonderful experience the were highly attentive Top table offer excellent

We were served a couple of extra treats !

Excellent! lovely food, the £25 deal was well worth it, cocktails on arrival were delicious, the bar area is lovely. Shame it was bit quiet, but it was a Tuesday.

City Cafe Manchester. Staff were very attentive and even gave us a complimentary per-starter when they were out of one the options on the menu. Good value for money and would go again.

City Café, Restaurant and Bar... EXCELLENT! Great value wine and dine deal with arrival drink. Each course was delicious, a good choice for a small set menu. Service was good and the ambience was spot on. City Café remains one of my Manchester city centre all round faves. :)

Early dining at City Cafe , Manchester was a very pleasant experience; the surroundings were lovely and the staff were very professional. The early dining menu was, however, very restricted wth only 3 choices for each course. The standard of presentation was good but i think i would eat from the normal menu next time.

City cafe was the best meal we've ever had in Manchester. Service and food impeccable!

Excellent meal and service. Well worth a visit

A lovely meal, well presented , efficient and friendly staff.

In a word - excellent. Lovely atmosphere, friendly, professional staff and the food was brilliant. Brilliant offer from TT. I can easily recommend to all. In fact City cafe is a bit of a hidden gem..Hilton should do more to advertise as no one I know even knew it existed.

City Cafe in Manchester was excellent. The food was of a very high standard (starters best of all, pudding less good) and the service was welcoming and friendly, if slightly casual; of course, it ought to be good, given that the restaurant was completely empty when we walked in at 6 pm and was only marginally busier when we left at 8. It certainly deserves to be patronised by more than a couple of hotel guests, especially with such excellent deals on offer.

This was a good offer. The food was great.

Super meal and really good service. Would recommend!

The City Cafe in Manchester was excellent! The service was top notch (the staff were very friendly) and the food was outstanding! The food portions were good too. Nice atmosphere. Highly reccomended.

My wife an i have eaten here twice the menu needs expanding in my view as it is very small and you dont always fancy whats on it even thou when it arrives it is always good, as is the service and the general vibe of the place. We cant wait to try the alfresco dining in the summer that is if we get one.

City Cafe, Manchester. Great staff, food and excellent value for money. Food of a very high standard and our 2nd visit in 2 weeks.

Nice food well presented, with good service

Excellent venue and the food was excellent as well. Well worth a visit.

We went for a quiet meal on the day before a half marathon (for me), so only 1 of us drinking. Now the restaurant is owned by Hilton, it seems the early diner deal is not quite as good value as previously, as there are less choices available for the included 2 courses, and sides, (needed for carb loading), drinks, puddings etc all seem to have gone up in price... Food quality as ever was very good, and we were told all ethically sourced. Service also friendly. Just very expensive in the end...

Booked the City Cafe at 1 Auburn Street in Manchester for my wife's 60th birthday. The staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The timings were perfect so we didn't feel rushed but we weren't sat waiting very long for the food to come either. All the food was excently cooked and nicely presented. Only slight disappointment was that one or two of the items on the menu weren't available but the alternatives offered were still really nice. The whole experience was first class.

food and service faultless. great food at a great price.

ate at the city caf on their valentines evening menu. food was great at a reasonable price. the service was superb with Ricardo at front of house was warm, friendly and attentive. A couple of blips (extra bread never arrived and we had to ask for petit fours) but both were very quickly resolved.ben provided a little gift and voucher which can be exchanged at Harvey Nicks for a massage. All in all I would recommend this restaurant, you won't be disappointed.

Excellent service and food. Well worth a visit

Good food, good service. The restaurant was very quiet for a Friday night but the weather was freezing out. My advice is to order sides with your meal. Overall I'd definitely recommend the City Cafe.

City Cafe in Manchestervwas superb and excellent value. Service was attentitive and the food was of a very high standard. Definitely go again.

City Cafe in Manchester was an exceptional dining experience. I used the toptable offer 3 courses for 30 pounds deal and it was well worth the money. The ambiance was fantastic and the staff were very attentive. For one of the first times I felt like I was being served upon at my table rather than catching someone's attention. The food was good quality and impecably served, the wine was lovely and the cocktail in our very own bar really topped off the night. One of the best dining experiences.

I had a lovely meal with friends here. I was surprised at how quiet it was.... a real hidden gem in the city.

This restaurant is in the Doubletree by Hilton Hotel. This is where we were staying so we decided to eat here. Great choice. We'd come in bedraggled and snow covered from a football match and were poorly dressed. We apologised but were told it was fine and given a lovely welcome. The food was so good. Bread and oil/balsamic on table immediately. The gnocchi were delicious and the pork was outstanding. Desserts excellent. Everything beautifully presented. The friendly really stood out.

Went to the City Cafe Restaurant and Bar on 28/1/12 for the early dining offer, 2 courses £16.95. The food was wonderful and there was a lot of choice on the menu. The service was also excellent. We will be going back soon!

Small portions

Very pleasant dining experience indeed! We had the earliy bird offer and there was a good choice and good value for money. Lovely cocktails from the bar and very attentive waiting staff. All in all a lovely dining experience!!

City Café, Manchester was a pleasant surprise. Great food, nice surroundings and at a very reasonable price

Service was excellent as was the food. I would also recommend the Spanish Rose - fabulouos wine.

Was a bit empty but the food was presented in a lovely way, and the service attentive. I think the food was a bit too salty and lacked depth of flavour.
