City cafe, Restaurant - Manchester

Firstly the service was impeccable, every wish was their command- the waiters bent over backwards to make sure that we were happy.

Food as usual was amazing, particularly the beef main, we were all delighted with the three courses that we choose. Little touches also were appreciated; extra hot bread and mince pies ( the best mince pies ever!)

Value was brilliant- the top table deal was great with free wine! (for my pregnant friend a delicious mocktail)

City Café, Restaurant and Bar - 3 course Sunday lunch + glass of wine for £15.95. Excellent offer, great value. The food arrives as is would from the a la carte menu. Nice and tasty as usual, though the presentation wasn't up to the usual standard, Service is always good here. Definitely one of my all time favourite Manchester eateries. More vegetables and gravy please! I had the Xmas options, very good.

The City Cafe in the Mint Hotel was our venue for a family lunch. Pleasant surroundings and convenient for Piccadilly Station. We all had the Christmas lunch and at £20 per head was good value. Quality of food was good and no dropping of standards. We asked for a slow service and were really pleased that they spread the meal as requested. Beetroot cured salmon and celeriac soup were both tasty starters and very enjoyable sea bass cooked to perfection. Good choice of lovely desserts. Nice meal.

The City Cafe at the Mint Hotel was fab! Hotel and restaurant looked really classy and festive. Atmosphere and service were great and the food was simply delicious. Very good value for money and a very pleasant experience

City Cafe, Restaurant and Bar was absolutely fabulous. Great setting, value and service.

Well priced Sunday lunch offer. Attentive staff and good food. Would come again.

Very nice room, excellent service and superb food. I have never been a great fan of hotel restaurants as they are often souless, but this was lovely

Great place to eat - consistently good.

This was a second visit to the City Cafe and once again ,the food was delicious and the staff are really helpful.

We had a wonderful time. Food was excellent, service superb and ambience spot on. Really enjoyed it exceptional value for money will definitely return.

Thoroughly enjoyed the Xmas afternoon tea at City Cafe, Mint Hotel. The food was delicious....traditional sandwiches, cakes, scones, all washed down with a candy cocktail and pot of tea. PLush surroundings, attentive staff and great ambience. Fully enjoyed an afternoon treat.

Ate at the City Cafe restaurant Mint Hotel in Manchester on saturday with my wife.I ate from the a la carte menu and my wife from their Xmas menu.We were both satisfied with the food and wine selection and the service was attentive without being intrusive.Would haveno hesitation in eating there again when in Manchester.

Some initial confusion about the Toptable deal but good food and a great night!

great lunch at the city cafe at the mint hotel - been here several times now and it has been very good every time

We stayed at the hotel and dined in the City Cafe, which was very nice. Pleasant atmosphere, excellent service and the food was presented very nicely and tasted delicious. Good wine list and the bar (separate area) also had a nice ambience and a good cocktail, wine and spirits list to choose from.

I asked the chef for an alternative sauce than that shown on the menu and this was provided with no fuss. We were very impressed and they had already discounted our 25% without us mentioning it.

I enjoyed my meal at the City Cafe in the Mint Hotel in Manchester more than on previous occasions when I have eaten there. I chose from the market menu and had a starter and a main course of pan fried guinea fowl. This was tasty but much too salty but was beatifully presented. The service was excellent.

Two of us booked the early evening two course deal for £12.50. The food was very good, although portion size was modest. Menu limited, but enough choices to please us. Service was good but there were long waits between courses. Overall a good choice if time is not an issue.

City cafe mint hotel Manchester. Beautiful meal. Perfect for friends to get together and talk. Staff where very helpful and well informed about the food they were serving. Would recommend and go back.

The restaurant was warm and friendly. The menu was very limited and with the addition of charges for vegetables and service charge the reasonable cost for the meal became very expensive.

We had a very enjoyable evening at City cafe on friday, the food was delicious particularly the guinea fowl. We used the early diners offer and thought it was great value althought the choices are limited. We would definately recommend.

city cafe mint hotel manchester Pleasant meal in pleasant surroundings

The food was delicious once it finally arrived despite only about 4 tables being occupied. Were told the chef had dropped it on the floor (and had we heard his scream?) but were given a mini-salad to compensate. Suppose it's always a bit risky eating in a hotel... Excellent wine kept us happy.

Enjoyed our lunch......the food was good but maybe the vegetarian main on the 2/3 courses option for a fixed price was rather miniscule

Good atmosphere, excellent service, food beautifully presented. Nice hot rolls, could have done with more mozarella on my tomato and mozarella salad. My samon was excellent, my companions' chicken was also good. We didn't have pudding but the ones served to other diners looked delicious.

Very good value with our Top Table offer

Mint hotel Manchester was a great meal. Staff were so helpful and accomodating. All the food was wonderfully tasty and beautifully presented. Would definitely recommend it.

What a fantastic night out with the girls. The food and service was that excellent that i ended up reserving another table for six for Christmas time. I would recommend it. The atmosphere was relaxed and not too busy and the waiter was very attentive and funny.

Good service and a good deal, albeit from a limited market menu.

Great food and atmosphere. There was a long delay on the main, due to problem with the fish dish. So they gave us free desserts.

Lovely food, sophisticated decor, great deal, super service. Oh, and delicious Classic Collins cocktails too!

Mint Hotel Manchester early doors offer was lovely. Food was interesting, beautifullly cooked and presented. The atmosphere was very relaxed, and we were not rushed between courses. Very convenient for dining after after a theatre matinee.
