I dined in FIre and Stone, Oxford on a Friday night with a small group of friends. The service was good, and we enjoyed the wide variety of pizzas and drinks. It took us a while to decide which Pizzas to order! However, when they all arrived they were actually quite plain and were not very hot either. The selection of desserts was good. Overall the experience was good, but the pizzas were not as special as we had hoped.

Fire and Stone Oxford, good location and decor, staff very pleasant and helpful, food OK, unfortunately didn't realise it was mostly pizzas and not much else (my fault). did manage to eat salads and the platter to share, which were all fine. Don't know that I would go again, only because I'm not keen on pizzas.
I went to Fire & Stone in Oxford on Christmas Eve. It was quiet at the time we ate, but still had a good ambience. The choice of pizza was excellent with cities around the world. The food was lovely and I would definitely recommend.
Fire & Stone Oxford - well located close to the New Oxford Theatre. Food was good and interesting menu. Service mediocre, not really well attended to, had to attract attention a couple of times. Our table was by the window and cold, we and the people on the next table had our coats on, nothing was said by the staff so maybe this is normal! Would probably choose another place next time, there are plenty round there.
Fire and Stone Oxford. Good value for money, quality not as good as expected.
great value for money
Fire & Stone Oxford is a fast-food pizzeria which specialises in quirky pizza ingredients. I had "Cairo" which had red onion, peppers and goat's cheese. While tasty it was not spectacular in flavour. Calamari starter and icecream for dessert were good. Service was very efficient and friendly. The meal was good value but it is not a restaurant to linger in. The ambience is eat and go.
Fire and Stone in Oxford. Excellent concept, and great variety of pizzas. Speedy service and good value. However, don't mistake the cost of the dips for the size. 1 dip is plenty enough for one person. Don't make the mistake of ordering the Cape Town pizza though, unless you want a carpet of ground beef on your pizza with litttle else in sight. Overall good though!
Recently ate at the Fire and Stone in Oxford. Have been to the one in Covent Garden too several times. Food and service are great. Unusual pizzas! Good value for money.
Fabulous pizza as always, good service, always an enjoyable experience
Fire and Stone in Oxford is a great place to go for pizza. I went with my boyfriend for a chilled out and inexpensive lunch and it delivered. The service was prompt and the staff very amicable. I have been several times before and am always very satisfied. I would especially recommend the Cairo and the Marrakesh!
Second time visiting Fire and Stone. Wasn't hugely impressed first time round but as it's in a convenient location and had potential we tried it again. As the last time, pizzas had nice bases but toppings lacked flavour and seasoning. The music just loops round and round - must be annoying for staff. Definately worth it at £4 a pizza (available on Thursdays) and would go back on that day. At full price though, not sure it'sgood value. Staff were friendly and attentive however, and toilets nice.
Good food, good ambiance. If you like Pizza then this is a good place for you, good variations. Service is a little slow and the bar closed at 10.20.
Very good idea, those international pizzas!
Had a great evening. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves.
We wanted to like this place more than we actually did... it's a chic little eatery on George Street serving pizzas themed after places from around the world, with some really interesting combinations. Crumbed mozzarella balls with tomato sauce were tasty. The pizzas however were quite lacking in flavour and seasoning, a shame especially given the originality of toppings. Service was slow, despite letting us arrive about 30 mins early. Music was a stuck record. May return though, has potential.
We went to the Fire and Stone in Oxford on our way to the cinema. The pizzas were very good technically, with the kind of crust you'd expect in a good pizza (but go for the thin and crispy base). My choice of toppings worked well, although most of the pizzas on the menu are a bit too out there to my liking. Service was ok, efficient but the place was practically empty. Overall, it was a decent meal but not a very memorable one.
Great place, food and service. If visiting Oxford again will not hesitate to go back and recommend to family and friends. The manager working on night of 11th was very friendly and professional - made the experience even better - thank you.
Mouthwatering coctails and fabulous pizzas
Office xmas dinner at Fire and stone in Oxford. Really fast service. As always delicious pizzas.
We went to Fire and Stone in Oxford, the food lived up to it's excellent standard and the service was brilliant. It is so nice to meet a waitress with a lovely sense of humour.
Good food; the Oxford restaurant has a nice layout; the food was good, service was prompt and the staff friendly.
Lovely setting for a lovely meal. Service was a bit slow though it was quite busy so to be expected. Food was excellent and great value with a voucher!
Fantastic pizza menu, only downside was having to pick just one!
We ended up joining a group of friends who tend to frequent the place with almost alarming regularity. Within the confines of a larger party is definitely the way to glean the most enjoyment from an evening at fire and stone; it takes the emphasis away from the tasty but uninspired food and brings the lovely surroundings and ambience to the fore.
Fire and Stone, Oxford - didn't realise that it was £4 pizza Thursday and needless to say was pleased as punch! This did mean the restaurant was packed and it took a little longer than usual to finally eat, but when it came the food was delicious. The menu is very varied with pizza toppings inspired by places around the world. Would definitely recommend
Fire & Stone, Oxford. Food not as good as hoped for but the service and ambience was very good indeed.
Fire and Stone - 28 - 38 George Street, Oxford. Excellent....no complaints....
We had a really nice meal at fire & stone, Oxford - there is so much choice! If you like different pizzas then this is the place to go - service is always quick and friendly and we used the 2 pizzas for £10 offer which is amazing value. Definitely recommend for a mid-week meal after work!
Fire & Stone Oxford my party and I had a fantastic night, the food was lovely, especially the puddings. The service was amazing, no waiting for anything but also no rush to get rid of us when we'd finished & the price was very good too all in all we had a great time and would deffinately go back. Thank you Fire & Stone staff.
Really great food and service. Would highly recommend to pizza lovers who fancy something a bit different.
All round, this evening at Fire and Stone, Oxford, was disappointing. Too many staff and not enough who knew what they were doing, too long a wait for service - even just drinks, and very average food. My pizza was inconsistently cooked - an over-cooked base, with luke warm topping. Also, the ingredients themselves were neither fresh nor particularly good quality. In addition, no-one seemed to have a record of our toptable booking so the whole thing was a muddle. I wouldn't recommend or go back.
Good service at the Fire & Stone at Oxford. Had four different pizzas and three desserts, and all were very nice.
Fire and stone was chosen for its central Oxford location, variety and ability to accomodate 10 of us on a Saturday night at short notice. Well they did not disappoint. A whole range of pizzas with unusual toppings delivered quickly and with a smile. Probably not the place for a romantic meal but great for a party.
Good pizzas, though not for the purists!
Fire and Stone in Oxford offer a wide range of exotic pizzas and salads, and their lunch deal (of a pizza or salad and a drink) was particularly good value at £5.75. It was a pity though that they didn't include juices in the package; instead one was forced to drink alcohol or a rather unhealthy, sweet, fizzy drink. The venue was however pleasant and the service good, although my pizza with butternut squash and macadamia nuts was a little stodgy.
Fire and Stone, Oxford - We both had really good and interesting individual pizzas from Asia and Africa. Service was great as was the restaurant.
A very enjoyable experience all around. Some of the nicest staff we have been served by in a long time and food that was excellent in quality and portion size.
Fire and Stone - Oxford. Broad and interesting selection of pizzas, themed from around the world. Mine was very good, with minced lamb, spicy sausage and basil. Helpful and attentive staff.
Good quality food, super fresh salad, attentive service
