The food at the Glasshouse Bar and Restaurant was fabulous! I had the risotto to start which was lovely but it was the lamb rump that really excelled - it was divine. The waitresses were lovely and it's a fine space. The only problem was it was empty bar our group and this was half eight on a Saturday. Now this may discourage you to go but please do the opposite - discover it and take friends, recommend it to others and fill it up - then it will fulfil the whole dining experience. It's worth it.

Glasshouse Bar and Restaurant - Service was excellent with friendly staff. The food was good value and well presented. I would recommend this venue for its service, food and ambience.
A very good meal, efficently served in pleasant surroundings - unfortunate that there were very few other diners. First course portions were rather wmall, mains good. The wine was also most enjoyable (Brown Bros, Evertion).
Glasshouse Bar and Restaurant, Manchester Located on the ground floor. Was surprisingly empty for a Thursday night this close to Christmas so we had good waiter service. The menu was not the normal Northern tastes as the offer describes and they only offered the Christmas menu. But the food was well presented and came with a good merlot. Seabass was tasty and terrine for starters was a good choice. Bar is very expensive for pre dinner drinks!! All in all good value and good service.
The Glasshouse Bar and Restaurant was a pleasant experience for my partner and I. We ate from the normal menu, finding the set menu too limited even though the price was good. The decor was tasteful, service excellent but the food was not to the standard we are used to, when compared with what we payed. Overall though we had a good evening, given that we couldn't find another table in the whole of Manchester!
The Glasshouse Bar and Restaurant, Manchester. The resrauarant was well appointed and had a good feel about it although it was very quiet for a Friday evening. The food was good and the service very good. I was disappointed that we were not offered bread whilst we were waiting for our meals and none came with the starters. One of the starters was called Pork and Hen pie, a fancy name for a slice of shop bought pork pie with egg pie.
Glass house Bar & Restaurant, Manchester Crowne Plaza – Booking the offer with Top Table of 3 courses & ½ bottle of wine was outstanding value. The food was lovely & well presented. Staff were very pleasant & attentive. Would definitely recommend.
Me and my partner visited Glasshouse Bar and Restaurant in Manchester. We were very impressed with the service an how extremely friendly the staff were towards us. The restaurant itself was very tastefully decorated and we were made to feel very welcome from the word go. Our booking through Top Table included discount on a 3 course meal and drinks. Every course was impeccable from taste to quantity and presentation. We would have no hesitation in paying full price for the next visit.
We ate at the Glasshouse in Manchester, the deal we had was not great value for money. The wine was good but the food was mediocre. The service was pleasant and the restaurant itself is very comfortable but not sure we'd go back there again. We felt like we could've cooked the food ourselves and for a lot less.
Glasshouse Bar Manchester We came here for an Anniversary meal it is a nice venue and the service was good but the portion sizes and choice could be better.
Glasshouse restaurant is definitely a pleasant dinig experience but it was very quiet for a friday night which meant the athmosphere was a bit flat. The food is pretty good but it's the 2nd time i've been and the service was quite bad both times.
Glasshouse Bar and Restaurant - Manchester
Fantastic value, excellent food and service. Good Environment
Would highly recommend
Glasshouse Bar and Restaurant, Manchester
Fantastic evening, lovely food, lovely surroundings.
We had a long wait for our third course, but were given complementary drinks as compensation.
We went to Glasshouse Bar and Restaurant on Saturday evening with a couple of friends started off rather shaky with wrong soup brought but we said this didnt matter but soon changed our minds once we tasted it as was swimming in grease. This was rectified and the head waiter could not apologise enough he made up for it with coffees on the house and no charge for wine upgrade and he did sort it out rather spoilt it though. Although we had a pleasant evening dont think we would rush to return.
Glasshouse Bar & Restaurant (Manchester) - 3 courses + bottle of wine for £20 offered great value for money. Menu was different to that on website, but the food was lovely. Fish main was particularly good. Portion sizes were on the wee side size-wise, but can't grumble for the price. Desserts were disappointing - the crumble was a definite winner. Very quiet and not a lot of ambience. Decor very modern and attractive though.
We visited The Gasshouse Bar and Restaurant in Manchester using the £39offer.We found the deal really good value for money and would recommend it.
Service was a little slow to start with at Glasshouse Bar & Restaurant but it was redeemed by a cheerful waitress. We opted for the 'Taste of the North' set menu expecting local dishes. But dishes such as Thai fishcakes were as far removed from the north as you can get. Whilst portions are not overly generous (like most set menus) 2 courses each and a decent bottle of Voignier was less than £60 for two. Not bad at all.
We arrived late due to awful traffic but this was not a problem, neither was our request for speedy service. We were sat down with dirnks and our order taken in less than 5 minutes. My gluten free requests were dealt with effectively. Choice for the setmenu offer were a bit limited with only 3 choices for each course. Our starter arrived fairly quickly but we had a bit of a wait for main course. This was surprising as the restaurant was almost empty. Food well presented and tasty.
Glasshouse restaurant in Manchester, excellent value and nice atmosphere. The food was delicious and great value for money. One downside, slightly limited menu options
Although the selection was not large, the and taste cannot not be faulted. The special offer of two three course meals and a bottle of wine is great value. Great service, and a relaxed atmosphere.
Very Good Value for money, a definite must if your in manchester
Although it was quiet at 7.00 Saturday, this meal deal and the staff were fantastico. Try it yourself at the Glasshouse inside the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Manchester.
great food, not the best atmosphere but really great value for money, staff very attentive and friendly, will go back.
Went to the Glasshouse Bar for dinner/drinks before attending a show in MEN which is just a few mins walk away. We were sitted promptly & wine ordered without fuss. Although I thought the menu could benefit from a little more choices it was an enjoyable tasty meal with just the right portion size. Would eat here again
Glasshouse Bar and Restaurant Manchester, excellent service, friendly relaxed atmosphere; steady flow of customers. Plenty of seats so you can chat with friends in the bar pre and post meal. Bar and restaurant staff helpful and welcoming. Food well cooked and presented, portions on the small side however ample if you order /share sides (£4 per portion). Wine included with meal was very drinkable. Great place for a relaxed meal for couples or friends who like to hear each other.
The place was very new and modern but very quiet. I think this is mainly due to the restaurant being in a hotel and not visible to the general public.
Staff were very nice and attentive, but maybe because they only had one couple to attend to.
Anyway food was also tasty and a good deal. I would recommend the main reason to visit this place is for the toilets!! You will know what I mean if you go!
We went for the special offer of 3 courses and a bottle of wine for two at the Glasshouse bar and restaurant in Manchester. We booked online for 8pm. The service was good as they were'nt too attentive. The restaurant was relatively quiet but had a relaxed atmosphere. The food was really tasty, but really small portions. You would need to order side dishes for a decent sized meal and this would be extra. Overall though an enjoyable evening.
Glasshouse Bar and Restaurant Manchester Crown Plaza. Although the restaurant was very quiet, there was still a pleasant atmosphere. The waiter was very attentive without being intrusive and he was friendly and knowledgable about the menu. The decor was fab, as were the toilets, albeit a little confusing as to which ones were the mens and which were the womens! The dinner was delicious, apart from the desserts, where one was frozen and one was overcooked - the free coffees compensated tho!
Glasshouse was let down by a virtually empty restaurant for a 8 o clock booking on a Friday night. Food and wine great - deal was really good value. Service and setting really good. just too empty.
Glasshouse Restaurant, Northern Quarter, Manchester. We went for the 3 course special with a bottle of wine for £38 for two. Both the menu for the special and the a la carte were inviting. All three courses were excellent, the wine well matched and the service was outstanding. Even though it was a Friday night, the restaurant was quiet with just a few tables occupied, but even if it was fully occupied I don't believe the service would have changed. From arrival to leaving - perfect.
Great meal highly recommend it.
The selection on the set menu is a little basic but should cater to any taste unless you are fussy. We ended up choosing from the normal menu. The service was great. Restaurant a little on the cool side. The food was good. Not much ambience. Overall i enjoyed it but there was just something missing from the experience.
Good service and food is good value for special offer. Limited choice menue. Worth a re visit.
My husband and I visited the Glasshouse Resturant recently and were very pleased with every aspect of the visit. The service was fantasdtic, my husband has worked in the hospitality industry and is a fan of the 'old fashioned' ways of waiting. This makes him quite difficult to please but he was very impressed. The food was beautiful, the portions were perfect and very well presented. It was a shame that the resturant was so empty it desereves far more business.
The offer at the Glasshouse Restaurant is excellent value for money. The service was very good, and a nice touch was after discovering it was my birthday we were given a glass of champagne on the house and a candle in my desert. A really lovely way to finish the meal. Definitly go back.
Went to glasshouse in manchester for a eve meal on a Thurs. Fairly quiet, without much atmosphere, everyone seated in a line against a wall when there were lots of free tables in the middle. Food was nice, but a rather underwhelming menu on offer for the offer. Would maybe try again at the weekend, hopefully they change the menu regularly.
Could not fault anything at all. Food very good and service excellent.
Lovely choice of menu - service and ambience excellent - will definately dine there again :)
The staff at the Glasshouse Restaurant really make the experience enjoyable. The top table offer is a good deal, for three courses and a bottle of wine. The portions are a bit small but the cheese plate was excellent!
The offer of a three course meal for two including a bottle of decent enouh wine was good value for money but otherwise unimpressive. The choice from the set menu was ok, but the service was poor and slow.
