A delight as usual. Wonderful food and brilliant service.

This is an excellent bistro for lunch with a range of classic dishes to satisfy most diners. There are good options for those wishing a fixed price meal of two or three courses and tempting choices for the special occasion celebration meal. The starters and main courses were excellent and the desserts were exceptionally good.

Excellent food and brilliant location. However the atmosphere could have been better.

Brilliant Restaurant with a fantasticly attentive staff Love the location and the food.

Lunch at Hadrian's Brasserie, Edinburgh was most enjoyable. Modern decor, attentive and friendly staff and a relaxed and pleasant ambience. Eating from the a la carte thanks to gift vouchers. The salmon starter was yummy while the carpaccio (£10) was a little disappointing - as was the portion. But the ribeye was succulent and the scallops were sweet and creamy with lovely soft belly pork. Cheese selection generous, if not adventurous. Unusual take on rubarb and custard that really paid off.

My friend and I visited Hadrian's Brasserie, Edinburgh last Saturday evening and had a wonderful meal. The food was lovely and the service was faultless. I hope to visit again soon!

I found this restaurant to be very expensive, the food was of a high standard but the portions were very small, the staff a little confused, and in general the meal and venue was disappointing.

Hadrian's Brasserie, Edinburgh. I thought the food was very good, if on the pricey side for lunch. The menu was too much dominated by fish and seafood for someone like me who eats neither. The service was very good.

Great service, fantastic food and popping into the Bollinger Bar before hand was the best way to start the evening.

I've been to Hadrians a few times and have always enjoyed it. It isn't cheap for a brasserie but the food is always well cooked and nicely presented and the service is efficient and attentive - we certainly felt well looked after.

Haven't been for a while and was very disappointed at limited choice for starters and mains which were the only two courses available on the special offer - think it was 3 for each course. Disappointed you didn't get to choose the two courses yourself. The food was delicious and service was good. Would book elsewhere next time to get a wider choice under the special offer.

Was it because there were hardly any other peole in Hadrian's that there was little ambience, all I can say is the food was fine nothing to go overboard about. However nothing really to complain about either, just found the place very bland.

Good food, good friendly professional service but perhaps a little too pushy, do you want prosecco ?, still or sparkling water? , is everything all right ?(before you have picked up knife and fork) etc. Meal was very good but starter arrived before the wine and some would have felt it all a little bit too fast.

Hadrian's Brasserie, Edinburgh, excellent evening, professional polite staff serving delicious food. We all had different dishes and none of us were disappointed. We will definitely return.

Lovely atmosphere and very attentive staff. The 'deal' was not at deal...it is just the price of the seasonal menu! Not very cheap, and all wines about £30 a bottle - it all adds up pretty quickly. Seasonal menu is limited - three options each course, but food was very good. Not sure it is brilliant value for money, and the deal is not a deal, but a very good evening was had.

The decor in Hadrians Brasserie in Edinburgh was nice. Staff very helpful, mentioned that it was my partners birthday and the young waiter brought him a plate of homemade sweets at the end of the meal, with happy birthday piped on in chocolate. Nice touch! Meal was nice, chicken terrine starter very good. Main courses could have done to be a wee bit hotter though when served.

Hadrian's Brasserie, Edinburgh A good choice for lunch. The menu is great value for money. Both our dishes were well cooked and presented. Attentive service. A relaxed venue with enough space between the tables for private conversation.

We had a lovely meal at Hadrian's Brasserie in Edinburgh. It was a first for my friend and she was most impressed with the excellent service, food and ambiance of the restaurant. We will be back, and do recommend to my other friends ,as I am sure they will in turn.

Had two course special offer lunch at Hadrian's Brasserie, Edinburgh. Food was of good quality and well served, though portions tended to be on the small side; service was extremely attentive and friendly. The £14.50 charge for a two course lunch is good value but once additional vegetables and wine are added it is not quite the bargain it originally appeared to be.

Hadrian's brassiere Edinburg. We had a great time, the staff, food, and value where all amazing. We were impressed with the caring staff and great seasonal menu.

I ate here before on a past business trip and loved it so I was delighted to go back for a colleagues birthday AND we bumped into Ant & Dec so that says a lot about this venues cache!!!

We went to Hadrian's Brasserie, Edinburgh for a birthday celebration dinner, which happened to be the same night as Scotland v England at Murrayfield! Because of the rugby, the hotel decided to offer a set menu of 3 courses. Having already made our booking through toptable, the hotel telephoned to check that we were happy with this and read through the menu to me. We were glad we went there! Good food and some of the most professional service I've experienced in a long time. Highly recommended

another very good meal i and enjoyed by a friend and myself.

Our party enjoyed Hadrian's 2 courses for £14.50 which we felt was of superb quality, putting most other places into the shade. It must represent the best value in Edinburgh - lovely Parsnip Soup, Ox Cheeks, Gnocci and a very tasty bottle of Pinot Grigio to wash it down. This, combined with excellent, non-fussy service made the day for out visitors from Yorkshire. Back soon.

My friend and I enjoyed our meal at Hadrians Edinburgh Midlothian. However I would like to comment on the service this time as while the staff are always attentive we found the number of staff attending to us a bit overwhelming on this occasion. I presume part of the problem was that the restaurant was not busy and each of the staff were not aware that others ere attending to us the same time. We found this difficult as our conversations ere being interrupted and it was disconcerting.

Hadrian's Brasserie 1 Princes Street, Edinburgh An excellent venue, service and food both superb!

We had a lovely lunch at Hadrian's Brasserie in Edinburgh. We went for the special offer lunch at 14:50 each for 2 course - by the time we had added a glass of wine each, water and coffee, the total bill was £25 per head. Food was good and the portions were much larger than expected - I couldn't finish my gnocchi. The service was quiet, unobstrusive and efficient. It's some time since I last went to Hadrian's but I'll definitely be going back.

Nice lunch but just nice, not outstanding

hadriens brasserie was an excellent meal however I was on my own on business expenses and the wine list was limited for the least expensive bottles . Blew my meal budget, food was lovely although small portions.

I would recommned for special occasions/romantic nights out

Excellent, as always. However, I was joined by a complete plonker of a guest, fortunately the fantastic food more than compensated for my poor taste in dining companions

I spend far too much time and money at Hadrians - its the only place to go in Edinburgh with an important client. Michelin standard food (on a par with Number One I would say), excellent service. Great value for money.

Hadrian's Brasserie. Edinburgh A little disappointed. We ate of the seasonl menu which was very reasonably priced but the choice was very limited. I had the poached pear with Lanark Blue but I am afraid the cheese overpowered all the other flavours. My partnered had the Salmom Roulade which she said was very bland. The positive was the main where we both had Sea Bream and it was excellent. restaurant was cool which on a winters day did not add to the ambiance. Will not rush back

Delicious food, good service, but pricey - lovely as a treat!

Hadrian's Brasserie within Balmoral Hotel - Edinburgh The staff were extremely attentive from the moment we arrived and even offered to salt our food too! Each course was beautifully presented and tasted delicious too - I would recommend the gnocchi and I would go back for lunch as it was well worth the bill.

Had a nice meal at Hadrian's Brasserie, Edinburgh although the choice on the Special Offer menue was very limited.

Lovely food. Abit pricey.

As always my friends and I really enjoyed our meal and whole atmosphere of Hadrians. I feel many of my friends have discovered a really good restaurant which is always realiably first class.

Hadrian's Brasserie, Edinburgh the food was excellent and the staff were very attentive. We were eating at 6.30pm but there was no pressure to get us to leave the table, we could have stayed there all night.

We dined at Hadrian's Brasserie in Edinburgh recently and would definitely go there again. Excellent service and meal, great surroundings and very central location.

We visted edinburgh for my wifes 50th birthday during the weekend during which we had a meal in hadrains brasserie. The meal and service were both excellent the staff excellent if this the standard of restuarants in the balmoral hotel then I am looking forward to our next visit.

Hadrian's Brasserie, Edinburgh. Enjoyed a lovely meal at Hadrian's. Chose from the seasonal menu and enjoyed the artichoke soup and the chicken parfait starters. The rump steak was delicious as was the chicken supreme and gnocci. My only quibble was a supplement on the steak, was it not seasonal? Otherwise an excellent meal, excellent service and a great venue.

Hadrian's Brasserie, Edinburgh

We booked this restaurant because we dine there every year on our anniversary.

The food never disappoints and the decor and ambience are fantastic. A minor niggle might be that the music was a bit loud when we arrived, but it was soon turned down to a reasonable level.

The main thing that should be mentioned is the service, which is really superb - attentive yet discreet. The first time I've given a 10 for service on this site. Well done, Hadrian's!

Hadrian's Brasserie is in the Balmoral Hotel in Edinburgh. It's a very large restaurant with a modern feel with a varied menu. We went for the 2 courses for £19.50 deal but were a bit disappointed with the limited choice on the seasonal menu. I would recommend going for the a la carte, which is a bit pricer but more interesting. We had a nice meal but nothing special.

Hadrian's Brasserie in Edinburgh is a superb place to dine.

Absolutely loved the food here and the Malbec was to die for! Beautiful venue, very professional staff, stunning hotel right in the heart of Edinburgh. And it was great value thanks to the TopTable offer. I will definitely be back.

Hadrian's brasserie in Edinburgh had a fantastic menu and the staff were really helpful. Had a lovely meal in great surroundings. Felt really special for a romantic meal. Nice to see the restaurant decorated for Christmas too.

Had dinner with my wife in Hadrian's in Edinburgh on 26 November. The staff was friendly and efficient without being stuffy or overly familiar. Drinks arrived quickly and some bread was served. Bread was fresh and tasty. Starters were the Carpaccio (very good according to my wife) and the honey & whisky salmon for me. I liked it, though it was not exceptional.

Main course of rabit leg for my wife and the filet steak for me. Great food, good service. Will go again for sure.

Hadrian's Brasserie - Edinburgh Lead to believe offer on meal. None. Seasonal menu 2 courses £19.50 + £3 for off menu rump steak option. Jerusalem artichoke soup -v. smooth & tasty. Steak cooked as ordered but texture redolent of meat having been too long in freezer ie floury even crumbly lacking a certain flavour. Reason it was an extra on special?. Chips not piping hot nor crispy enough, suggesting a wait before served.Bearnaise good. Dessert, poached pears with trimmings, excellent.

My friend and I had lunch yesterday and as usual enjoyed the food , ambience and friendly efficient service. I highly recommend to my friends too.

We had a lovely meal at Hadrian's Brasserie (part of Balmoral Hotel) whilst visiting Edinburgh. The service was fantastic along with the food! The waiter even secured us a table in one of their busy bars so we could have some drinks after our meal. Definitely recommend!
