Great food, excellent service!

Harvey Nicks edinburgh food great service should have been better for the price... I booked for 3 people but table was set for 4 and had to ask extra setting be removed. Also had to ask for an extra menu for third guest who arrived 5 miins after us. Surprisingly restaurant only half full on easter Saturday so felt a bit flat

Spent four hours either sitting at champagne bar or in restaurant and it was all very good if not a little cold towards the end of the night. Wine, champagne and cocktails were all of high standard, as was the venison and lamb. Will definitely return when in Edinburgh again.

A treat for the avid "posh" shopper awaits you in Harvey Nichols Forth Floor Restaurant. It is expensive but the personal service and views are worth it for a special occasion.

I've eaten regularly at 4rth Floor, Harvey Nichols in Edinburgh for lunch but 1st time for dinner. The atmoshere is very lively and good fun and the views over Edinburgh and to the castle are amazing. The food was very good but quite pricey given that we all had 3 courses, a few drinks and coffee the bill worked out around £85 each. In saying that, the 3 of us really enjoyed the food.

Harvey Nichols Fourth Floor Restaurant, Edinburgh a fantastic evening! Warmly welcomed, great table, professional attentive friendly service by everyone. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. After a long hard working week this whole experience was very welcome and appreciated. Will definitely return. Excellent all round.

Not the first time we have dined at Harvey Nichols Forth Floor Restaurant in Edinburgh and, as usual, we were not disappointed. The Rock Bass main course was especially tasty.

Very tasty! But smallish portions almost meagrely !cant see the real reason for the size when "ladies who lunch" like smaller portions but also value - value for money!

Not a good experiance.

The meal of our holiday in Edinburgh was The Forth Floor Restaurant at Harvey Nichols. Indeed it was the meal of the year for me.. The food was creative and playful but never at the expense of taste, fantastic. And service was outstanding. All this and one of the best views from a restaurant in the world.

Sunday lunch at Harvey Nichols in Edinburgh was very poor. The choice for main course was Pig's cheek and trotter etc or grilled Hake, not very apetising in my opinion. There was no ambience as the restaurant had very few diners and several people came to a table, looked a the menu and left! i did ask to see the brasserie menu but that was equally unapetising. We enjoyed the wine and that was about it, we declined dessert. I will not be returning unless i hear things have changed.

The staff at Harvey Nichols Forth Nichols Forth Floor Restaurant, Edinburgh seemed to be having a bad day when we visited. Although the restaurant was not busy the service was slow and the staff somewhat snooty - this is a department store restaurant at the end of the day! When it did come the food was beautifully presented and the wine excellent - if overly expensive. The summer sunshine streaming into this venue seemed to cause problems for the ventilation system to control the temperature.

Six of us enjoyed a memorable lunch at Harvey Nichols Forth floor.

The food and srevice were excellent and the sommelier was particularly helpful.

Choice on the £22 for 2 courses menu was so limited, only 2 choices per course. Waiters were very nice but when I complained about my fish & Vegetables being cold I was given a very patronising response. In fairness they did offer to cook it again for me but by that time I had been completely put off my food.

Very good food and service. The dessert was delicious!

Superb, and lunch deal great value. Very friendly service

We had a lovely meal at Harvey Nichols Forth Floor Restaurant. I live and work in Edinburgh but have only ever eaten in the Brasserie. We were pleased to not only have what we ordered from the menu, but some canopies and an amuse-bouche. The quality of the food was outstanding although perhaps a little more in the main course would have left us feeling a little more satisfied. We had a special menu (3 courses for £35) which meant it felt like great value for money.

Had not been for a while as I thought it had slipped. Very enjoyable meal with great service.

A lovely lunch in a lovely setting looking out from the fouth floor of Harvey Nichols in Edinburgh towards the castle. The food was good and the service was excellent look forward to coming back soon

Had a very nice meal in The fourth floor restaurant at Harvey Nichols in Edinburgh on Saturday night the food was very tasty and presentation was excellent! The service was good, but i don't think they should be adding on the 10% service charge it should be left up to the individual. There is something lacking(atmosphere wise) in the room ok if you are looking out the window with superb views.

We booked dinner at Harvey Nicks in Edinburgh via Toptable, though we hadn't realised this was for the rather more expensive Restaurant instead of the Brasserie. The Restaurant 'room' is barely different to the Brasserie, white table linen aside; however the food was of an excellent standard- super presentation, lovely flavours and little surprises here and there. As expected, portions were small though. Worth a try for a special occasion, however we didn't love it enough to rush back.

We had a wonderful meal at Forth Floor at Harvey Nichols last night. As it was a special occasion we opted for the tasting menu, which was one of the, seemingly fashionable, 'Surprise' tasting menus. As the sun set over Edinburgh we had front row seats and the calm of the restaurant was a pleasant contrast to the buzz of the adjacent brasserie. Food was superb, some courses more refined than others, the wine package was well-chosen and good quality. Service attentive and well-paced.

Had a wonderful evening, staff very friendly and welcoming. The food and table service excellent, and to top it all stunning views of the city. We will be back.

Had a really lovely meal at Harvey Nichols Forth Floor Restaurant. The service was excellent and the food of a a very high standard.

We were fortunate enough to get a table at the window and had a lovely view over St Andrew Square and beyond. The waiters were very attentive and helpful. The meal itself was very nice, we were given a complimentary amuse bouche to begin with and a taster platter. The portions were small but there was enough considering we ended up having four courses plus coffees and petit fours. Wine was very good served at just the right temperature. We will definitely be going back.

Good food, great view, great wine selction

Very disappointing. We had gone for lunch on Monday 20 December and there was no Christmas spirit whatsoever. Not a even a piece of holly for table decoration! My food choice was enjoyable but my husband's mediocre. Given the cost of the meal it certainly was not worth the money. The bar area in the middle of the room is distracting; you are constantly aware of staff preparing drinks & washing glasses. Service was appalling and to include a 10% discretionary service charge is unacceptable.

Harvey Nichols Edinburgh - classy, fabulous views, good service - but not if you are on a budget

Highly recommend Harvey Nichols Forth Floor Restaurant in Edinburgh. Service, food and view were excellent, not cheap but lunch was an experience not just a meal.Faultless!

Harvey Nichols in Edinburgh was the perfect venue for a dinner with my wife and daughter on a recent trip to Scotland's capital. The service was friendy and efficient and the food was excellent. We had the 2-course deal for £22.50 and I had the Shin of Beef and the girls has Sea Bass for mains . We all had different desserts, plum crumble, bread and butter pudding and a chocolate creation - all excellent. A bottle of Argentinian white wine was £20 and again very good. Will go again.

Recently a group of us ate at the Harvey Nichols 4th Flr Restaurant, Edinburgh. The food was lovely but v. small portions, service was excellent with very attentive waiting staff, but not intrusive. My overall feeling was the place could do with a refurb as looking tired around the edges. Cleanliness of the toilets left alot to be desired!

Harvey Nichols, Forth floor restaurant in Edinburgh has fantastic food and service topped by a magnificent view of the castle. Perfect for a special occasion.

Harvey Nicks Forth Floor Edinburgh Luckily we chose a brilliantly sunny Autumn day to lunch in the top storey retaurant so we got the full benefit of the fine views over Edinburgh New Town and the North. The duck starter was obviously free range since it still had a piece of lead shot embedded ( we had been warned in the menu), and was beautifully presented and equally tasty. The main course ot sea bass fillet was crispy on the outside, sweet and tender on the inside. Well worth a visit

A delightful meal in Harvey Nichols in Edinburgh. Top quality food and service.

great food, fantastic views

A good meal, just as you'd expect from a fairly top end restaurant, but nothing spectacular. The ambience could have been better. I think that the dining area could have been improved by distinguishing it further from the shop floor. The views of the New Town were pretty special and the staff were attentive.

Lovely meal and fantastic view of Edinburgh at Harvey Nichols Restaurant. Service was great.

Lovely atmosphere and a beautiful view in the evening, perfect to have late dinner at.

Harvey Nichols Forth Flour, Edinburgh. Absolutely fantastic restaurant. Could not fault the food and the service was attentive and friendly without being overbearing. Beautiful views over Edinburgh. Will definitely be returning.
