As a first-time visitor to Liverpool I was relieved to find a Malmaison hotel, as I needed to book an early business dinner. I have eaten in various Malmaison venues throughout the country, so had an expectation of a high similar standard. We were not at all disappointed... and we were most impressed to find Maury on the dessert menu! Keep up the high standards.

Great venue food was good too
Went to Malmaison (lovely setting near Liverpool waterfront) for their bargain Thursday "Steak Night". We both had quality 7oz steaks, perfectly cooked as requested - rump (£11.95) with peppercorn sauce, and onglet (£9.95) with red wine jus, served on wooden boards with a pot of home-made coleslaw and a good portion of frites in a cone. House red was a perfect accompaniment. Excellent, friendly service from the young team. Highly recommended.
Lovely food but very overpriced wine list. Would recommend the smoked duck breast salad and mushroom, smoked ham and truffle pizza.
enjoyed a meal at malmaison brasserie in liver pool last saturday, very attentive staff never had to fill my glass myself, initially a bit dissapointed with choice but really enjoyed the meal we had, wine a bit pricey but meal price good.
Food was good, but perhaps a little overpriced. My burger was a little in the dry side. Good ambience and nice service.
Dinner at Malmaison Brasserie, Liverpool on a very cold night in January was excellent only thing was missing was any atmosphere - it was very quiet with only 2 or 3 tables!
The Malmaison Brasserie in Liverpool has a great ambience. The staff were very polite and attentive. However we felt the food and wine were over priced. Also we had champagne bought for us by my friends husband and it wasn't announced who it was from. I had to explain it to my friend.
Malmaison Brasserie in Liverpool is a wonderful place to spend the evening. The food was excellent and the staff were very polite and friendly. I would not hesitate to recommend this restaurant to anyone wishing to enjoy an evening out.
Loved it. £19.99 Christmas deal a bargain. Great service.
Good value for money. Staff very friendly with good service, did not feel rushed. Food of high quality
Malmaison Liverpool, great value for money and good food and wine (we had the £30 for two courses, coffee and bottle of wine between two. Would go again.
We went to Malmaison Brasserie in Liverpool last night and had a fabulous time. The surroundings are very pleasant and the atmosphere is relaxed and friendly. The staff were helpful and very friendly. The food was fantastic. I know some reviews have mentioned that the food was not enough but for us it was more than enough and we definitely did not leave the venue hungry or pining for more food!!! The wine was lovely and complimented our choice of food perfectly. We will certainly go back again.
Good food, good value with the 2 courses, coffee and a bottle of house wine for £30 for 2 people. However, the service overall is not up to scratch, with the waiting and greeting staff seeming to be more interested in talking to each other than serving or talking to customers. On leaving the Brasserie, the 2 staff at reception were didn't even interrupt their conversation to say thanks or goodbye. For the second time when using this offer (once at Birmingham before) coffee was not offered to us.
Malmaison - Prices Dock, Liverpool. Deco wonderful. Waitress was very very nice
Starter Excellent, Wine very nice, main course... not very good. More fat that gammon on plate, had to order side dishes as it was 'gammon' with a tomato and nothing else. My gammon was 1/8 inch thick, and measured 3" x 2" with fat off. Which was a shame as I felt it spoilt the meal. Summary - Wonderful deco, wonderful waitress felt they could have give a little more (even if they put the price up)
Dinner at Malmaison brasserie in Liverpool was good. We were on the 'two coursee, coffee and a bottle of wine for £30 menu' and we were pleasantly surprised. Clearly the menu was going to be limited for this price, but there was sufficient choice and the food itself was good. However, the two course just won't fill you up and therefore, pudding and its added expense is inevitable!
Malmaison Brasserie in Liverpool was enjoyable, the Staff welcoming and friendly. the 'offer' menu had dishes that had been chosen to keep cost low and therefore profit as high as possible. No problem with this, the Brasserie has to make money. Everything had a good flavour but we did need to order chips to fill us up and to pay £10 extra for desserts.Portions were small and I think a bottle of wine could be sacrificed for a glass each and bread, chips and veg given instead or remove the coffee.
Liverpool. Great venue and food
I stayed and ate at the Malmaison Brasserie Liverpool Hotel, a great hotel and good food, typical service I guess from a hotel restaurant. Small restaurant with hotel guests, probably too far away from the city centre for non residents to eat here.
I'd recommend if you're staying at the hotel for more than one night to eat here for a night.
Malmaison, Liverpool is very close to the docks. Not so easy to find. OK they have name at top of building, but how to actually negotiate the brick wall in front? Good food, very reasonable cost. Friendly staff. Subdued atmosphere of the medium-size hotel.
The Liverpool Malmaison is situated along the Mersey just up the road from the Liver Building. The view would have been wnoderful but unfortunately the hotel is undergoing refurbishment so the view is blocked to avoid the scaffolding. Restaurant was full with variety of people - couples, families, tourists etc. Food choice was ok - a safe menu with one or two surprises eg scouse. Quality was good and service by the young team was very pleasant and efficient. It is a good hotel restaurant.
Went to Malmaison's special "Scouse and Proud" evening - a bargain at £19.55 for two, including a large bottle of Cain's FA beer each. The scouse was very good - no cheap lamb used in the stew - and the accompanying beetroot thinly sliced in a sweetish vinegar. Outstanding service - friendly and efficient. Must return on a more "normal" night - some good food bargains. The wine dinners here are also excellent, and splendid value for money.
The restaurant is set in the revamped are of Liverpool city centre, Very clean ad pleasant. The food was good not exceptional, the service started out excellently then filtered off as the restaurant began to get busy. Overall a nice place to eat and a good view of a new liverpool
Apart from the delays in our deserts, was a good dining experience.
Malmaison Brasserie, Liverpool. Fantastic food in stylish surroundings - and great value for money. Service was brilliant. Staff were very friendly and attentive. We were given a private room with glass walls that looked on to the kitchen, which made for a very different and fun dining experience. A great night all round, would throughly recommend it.
Malmaison Brasserie, Liverpool. Good selection of food on menu, nice relaxed atmosphere. Very friendly and helpful staff. Food was very good, served quickly and presented well. Finished off with a glass of port, thank you. Would dine again!
We ate off the 2 course and a bottle of wine for £30 menu. The food was enjoyable and of good quality. Although the bread we ordered was stale and hard to bite into. Be warned there are only around three choices on this menu and if you want something different will have to pay significantly more.
The restaurant had a pleasant atmosphere and the waiting staff were helpful and friendly. We went around 7pm and there was only one other table in, but it picked up around 8.
Had the two meals for £30 deal in Malmaison Liverpool and had a lovely evening.
There wasn't a huge amount of choice on the set menu, with four options for each course, and a choice between house red/white for the wine. The food was tasty though not amazing, but the thing that really made our evening was the great service from the maitre d', waitresses and sommellier, as well as the stylish surroundings. Would return.
We found it really difficult to find the restaurant and were about to give up when we finally stambled upon on it. My husbands meal was really good but mine was just OK (but that's just perhaps my choice). The wines were really good The young man that was serving us was really lovely and super helpful.
Malmaison Brasserie - lovely ambience, the food was good, reasonable and the staff were very friendly - I would highly recommend.
Excellent food and atmosphere. Friendly staff. Would recommend to reserve the private dining room.
We were a bit disappointed with the menu choice (very limited and dishes "sold out") Plus the initial table we we seated at was poor with a direct spotlight in my face and the service station within a foot of where my wife was sitting on the other side of the table. Could do better
Nice venue and attentive staff. Found the menu somewhat limited, though what food there was, was good
Fantastic setting and ambiance. The service was excellent and food is good and reasonably priced.
Malmaison, Brasserie Liverpool,
Decor and atmosphere was good, modern whilst relaxed. Food and service to a good standard, however would say pricing matches the quality but not the portion control. Small portions for a brasserie, think maybe the restaurant needs to decide whether its high end service and food or whether its a good quality hotel restaurant.
Great all round place for a romantic evening or a special occasion. Really enjoyed the steak.
Malmaison has a great atmosphere and fabulous food as well as a good wine selection. A lovely night out in Liverpool.
Excellent food and great service. Decor and atmosphere were spot on
The food was very nice though not amazing. The staff a bit over-attentive and came over too regularly. Possibly a bit over-priced. Ambience is average as the setting is somewhat clinical. A little bit difficult to find.
The Brasserie in the Malmaison was excellent. Food top quality and service very attentive
We ate at the Malmaison Hotel in Liverpool on a wet Saturday evening in November. The atmosphere, staff, food and wine were all fantastic and we had a wonderful night. Make sure you arrive a bit early to try a couple of cocktails before you eat, they made for a perfect evening. Highly recommend to people visiting the city as we were or locals that may not think to eat in a hotel.
Lovely restaurant with very helpful and friendly staff. Would definetly recommend and will be visiting again during my next visit to Liverpool in November.
Thanks for the experiance
