Good food, but would be really expensive without the offer. No beer was available even if the offer said beer or wine. Beautiful decor and attentive service.

My husband and I went to Mayur restaurant last night which we thoughly enjoyed last time we were there was end of November 2011 and we had 14.99 special with free glass a wine, which we enjoyed. We always said we would return to try the main menu, we had a bottle of house wine and a gin & tonic with lime just the way I like, and a 3 course meat set menu special for 2 which was brought out to us very slow which was nice considering they were very busy, deffo go again staff as attentive & good
Mayur, Liverpool Went to Mayur on Saturday evening, and was blown away. Food was excellent, service was friendly and efficient, room was really nice. Atmosphere was lively, and restaurant was about 75% full. Menu is interesting and varied - try the sample platters for a delicious range of veggie/or non veggie ingredients. At about £85 for 2 including drinks coffee and desserts, not exactly local takeaway prices, but its definitely not takeaway food! Highly recommended.
WENT FOR 3 COURSES FOR £15 PLUS FREE GLASS OF WINE AND FOOD WAS EXCELLENT AND GREAT VALUE FOR MONEY.
I had the £14.99 meal. The food was very good- innovative dishes and good size portions. The wine was also nice. Extremelyy good value when you get a large starter, a main, rice/naan and kulfi alongside a decent size glass of wine. Atmosphere was a bit dead, but that is unsuprising at 6.30 on a tuesday night.
Service was brilliant. Really attentive. Will be coming back :)
Mayur Liverpool - lovely food great service will definitely be back again
the best food but the worst service ever.
The lighting was extreme and frankly strong enough for brain surgery. it felt like an Italian wedding banquet hall in North America (not good)
we waited an hour and a half before we ate. that is absolutely crazy. we finally got the food and it was wonderful but in fact it was extremely small portions. In fact there prprobably only about 30 lentils in my lentil dish. ridiculous.
anyway, ultimately the owned came by and asked how things were. we had been waiting for an hour and told her. Nothing was done and nothing was addressed.
Mayur is probably one of the best Indian Restaurants in Liverpool. The venue is classy, the food fantastic and the atmosphere vibrant.
The restaurant was modern , with attentive staff. We chose the £13.95 offer simply because, their al a carte menu contained dishes that were new to us, and the waitress kept coming up and asking if we were ready to order, we gave in,chose the offer menu.
The offer was good value at £13.95, with an option to choose a bottle of wine in place of the free glass for £6.75. Nice Chile Sauvignon. Ordered a aloo gobi as an extra, £6.95, potatoes and cauliflower must be expensive in Liverpool.
Mayur duke street, Liverpool busy place, food was tasty and good value
This was a really good deal, the food was fresh, and beautifully presented.Couldn't fault the service either, all in all a lovely experience in a lovely restaurant.
Mayur is just top drawer. Food was divine, value was amazing and they held a near perfect service whilst completely packed out. Looking forward to our return already!
We were going to the theatre so went for the early dinner offer (3 courses for £14.50) which was very good value. Lovely flavours and generous portions. The place was quite charming and the staff were friendly. We will be sure to visit again.
Mayur Restaurant Duke Street, Liverpool. What a find? Great food and excellent value. A little wait inbetween courses and some confusion over the final course. The food however, was out of this world - 3 courses for £14.95 with a free glass wine/beer - will certainly be visiting again.
The meal at Mayur, Duke St Liverpool was amazing we where going to a show so we chose our meal from the early bird menu. The restaurant was spotless, service was very good the size of the meals where ample, very good value for money.
Food as usual was a good standard, however the waiting staff were having a bit of an off day, and had to be reminded about drinks on a number of occasiosns. It is still one of the best places for variety when it comes to Indian cuisine.
Mayur on Duke street in Liverpool is beautiful inside :) waiters were very friendly. We had the early evening menu which was very nice. would definately be tempted to have the full menu next time!
Mayur in Liverpool was the best Indian i've had yet, absolutely excellent food and excellent location if you're visiting the city!
Expected fine dining but no better than a decent curry house.
My favourite Indian restaurant: Went with our son for his birthday and everything was spot on. Have been to the restaurant with many friends and family and all have enjoyed it. Good standard of food and service which is matched by the value for money. Can not fault it.
exceptional service. Good tasty Indian food.
Thoroughly enjoyed the meal at the Mayur Restuarant in Liverpool. There was excellent service. I have been many times and would recommend you try it out you will not be disappointed.
We went to Mayur restaurant in Liverpool on a Saturday night. Thank goodness we had booked through top table as I don't think we would have got in. Food was good, service was excellent, location was central and easy to get to. I look forward to our return visit.
We went to Mayur, Liverpool on Saturday for a meal and were very pleasantly surprised with the venue, food and service. The restaurant's design is very contemporary and the atmosphere is really lovely with attentive staff. The food was excellent and great value for money. The portions were ample and satisfied our needs completely. The choice from the fixed 3-course meal including a drink was generous and there was something for vegetarians, meat and fish lovers alike. Worth a visit for sure.
A group of 8 of us ate at the Mayur on the first Friday in January. It was pretty quiet but perhaps everyone other than us was at home detoxing after the festive session! However there were enough of us to make our own atmosphere. The service was good - attentive without being overly so. I had an excellent seafood starter and a veggie main course. Very tasty. Everyone was pleased with their choices. This was my first visit, but others in the group had been before and suggested we go.
Mayur in Liverpool was fab. Food was tasty, full of flavour and some original combinations. It was a bit quiet the night we were there but it was the night after boxing day, so understandable! Friendly staff, would definitely recommend to others.
Service and food very good. Obviously a popular venue.
Gorgeous food and a great deal for 3 courses and a drink. Staff smart and attentive .presentation lovely . Perfect for a quiet tasty meal. The toilets are so clean bowls of water with floating roses top class hand wash and moisturisers.
We drove up from London and it took us longer than expected, so we were late for our booking at Mayur, but I phoned the restaurant and they were very accomodating with still giving us the offer after the time expired. The food was fantastic, we loved the chicken tikka starter and the Pujab samosas. The mains were amazing, just the right spiceiness, the vegetarian was a little disappointing but the chicken made up for it for us meat eaters. The ice-cream dessert was fab too. Great value.
3 course menu with drink was excellent value. Food very tasty. Service friendly. Will definitely visit again.
My Husband and I had a lovely meal at Mayur restaurant in Duke Street Liverpool yesterday day, we booked a table for 6pm for early dining we went for the 3 course meal with a glass of wine which was 14.95p the Staff were very attentive but not in your face, which was nice. the presentation of the food was very good, which made you feel very special. The wine was nice so we orderd a bottle and had coffee as well of which we paid for as extras yes I would like to return and try the the main menu
I went to Mayur, Duke St - Liverpool, with 3 friends on a Saturday night. We found the staff very attentive and helpful. The environment and atmosphere was lovely. The restaurant was obviously very popular. The only main criticism I would have was that the portion sizes were rather small; my husband ordered a monk fish dish and there must only have been 3 very small pieces of fish amoungst a relatively large amount of sauce.
Based on the reviews I'd read, Mayur in Liverpool was everything I expected it to be and more. The restaurant is modern, well presented and the service was excellent. The food came out quickly and was of the highest quality. I'll definitely be recommending this restaurant to others.
The food was top quality. Not the usual swimming in oil you can get in some places. As we were there at 6pm on a cold October Monday evening we were not expecting the tables to be full but we were suprised at how many people dined. As we were ordering off the early bird menu the choices were reduced but there is something for everyone with a number of vegetarian dishes to choose from. The house wine was excellent and overall had a wonderful meal.
Mayur, Liverpool is a lovely restuarant. Foood and service was excellent and portion sizes just right for us. I would definately recommend this restaurant.
Mayur, Liverpool - This is a really interesting Indian restaurant. Modern dishes with complex flavours, though they refused to give us the recipes! Also the first time we've bothered to have a dessert in an Indian restaurant - just couldn't resist. Only word of warning is that the poppadoms we were given as an appetiser were rather peppery, but guess some would like that. Excellent service. All fab!
Dined at the Mayur in Liverpool on Thursday Oct 20th. The restaurant is a modern Indian, located in a developing area. The surrounding buildings are in need of restoration and there is a car park nearby. The interior of the Mayur is modern and comfortable with black/gold flock wallpaper and mirrors. The background music was not calming being reminiscent of Bollywood. The food was very tasty, we had soft shell crab and a Hyderabadi murg biryani. Overall a pleasant evening
I visited Mayur last night with family and I can't rate it highly enough. It is a beautiful restaurant a short walk from Liverpool 1. The service was excellent and the early evening offer of 3 courses and a glass of wine for £15 was superb value. The food was beautifully presented and full of flavour. We're already planning a return visit for my sister's birthday at the end of the month.
Mayur, Liverpool - we visited on a sunday evening - had booked for 8pm but we were late -no worries they weren;t very busy and in fact we were worrying that we may be the only people there - thankfully 3 other tables were filled whilst we were there. A lovely menu, some interesting choices and nicely cooked and an excellent wine choice.
7th October 630pm early bird 3 course menu with free glass of wine. We were greeted warmly and showed to a good table where we could see everything that was happening in the restaurant. The wine was really very nice for a house white. The set menu had a good variety of starters and mains and for the third course you can choose one of several desserts or coffees. Food lovely, atmosphere fab, Recommended
We had a nice evening in mayur- food was faultless and wine was good.
Special menu is a very good value and there are about 5 choices to make per starter and mains, which is rare for a set menu,
We will come back for only having main menu though as the portion is rather big,
visited Mayur (Indian) Duke St Liverpool. We went for the early evening menu which was 3 courses + a glass of wine at £15 a head. This proved to be great value with quality food and service. The early evening option was available for the 7.00pm. The food was presented well with a good range of choice-we had four different starters and meals to share all were excellent. Choice of ice cream or coffee for third course. Both red and white wine were nice.
Mayur Duke St Liverpool. I took my family and friends, there were nine of us, to Mayur on Sat evening. The meal, the venue and the atmosphere and general feel of the restaurant were excellent. We had the special 2 course menu which was enjoyed by all.and I would recommend the Mayur to all who enjoy Indian food. M Shannon
The meal at Mayur Duke Street Liverpool was excellent. ~The staff were very friendly and aimed to please. The decor and atmosphere was quite special and We would certainly recommend it to friends. Most enjoyable evening.
Nine of us went for a celebration here last night. The food was fabulous, as usual. The welcome we were given was great. Most of the service was fine, but one of our meals did not arrive, but it wasn't on the bill so that was ok, as we all tended to share food anyway, so none of us went hungry. We would go again.
Our trip to Mayur in Liverpool was so good (on the toptable special offer) that we went back two nights later for a splurge on the a la carte menu. And even then it only came to £50 for two, for one shared starter, two courses each, and beer.
The food was simply exquisite - sublty flavoured, perfectly cooked and an absolute joy.
We were there for three days, and if we ever go back, Mayur will be frst on the list for a meal out. And second. Possibly even third,, next time, its a big menu!
Mayur, Liverpool. I'm a regular curry house visitor in London and found Mayur a match for any of the higher priced eateries in the capital. Great atmosphere, interesting menu and a warm Scouse welcome from the friendly staff. Will definitely book again on my next trip to Liverpool.
Fantastic restaurant not crammed in pleanty of room fanatastic service and possibly the best Indian meal we've had and we eat Indian at least once per week
Food excellent good value !
Enjoyed our visit - we had the early bird menu which was more than sufficient and excellent quality and taste. The chicken tikka starter was a dream.
