It said dinner deal, but they were offering the same price on menu anyway so there was no saving or benefit of using this website.

Tourist hub, very pricey and the service was not comparable. Had a feeling of a diner rather than a bistro but lacked character.

The food was very nice but the experience was just ok. I don't think I would go back.

My husband and I enjoyed a lovely pre theatre meal at MP's Bistro, Calton Hill, Edinburgh. We were served by two charming waitresses and the food was excellent. Included in the price which was £30 for two for two courses was a lovely glass of house wine. The only criticism we had was the restaurant could have been a bit warmer.

Friendly and helpful staff. Good value for money.

MP's Bistro. Night out with friends we all agreed that the food was good and the quality of the house wine was very good. Felt the ambience could be better and the smell from the kitchen was offputting. Good deal but don't think I would choose to return as there are so many other good places to eat in Edinburgh.

The fixed price early evening menu was very good value for money at MPs Bistro, Edinburgh. Service was friendly and very attentive. Food was well presented and portion size was good. Worth exploring the comfortable and well ("Timorous Beasties") decorated entrance foyer of the hotel when visiting this restaurant.

The food was lovely. The waiting staff looked either like they were bone tired or just needed to learn how to smile!! All in all it's a nice location, a quaint room but not much atmosphere not helped by bolshy staff! Worth a visit if you're happy with each others company!!

MP's Bistro was great value. Food was lovely! Service was great! Nice decor with the fire burning and candles on tables, but the atmosphere was rather quiet. We did have a later reservation but it was practically empty by 10pm on a Saturday night. (The restaurant entrance is up a steep, unlikely location. It is also part of a hotel and you have to walk a fair way to go to the hotel toilets.) All in all would highly recommend as food was very nice. Thanks

Venue: MP's Bistro, Parliament House Hotel, 15 Calton Hill, Old Town, Edinburgh EH1 3BJ

We (7 of us) had the 3 course offer with a glass of wine last Sat 07/04/12 and were pleasantly surprised by the comfort, quality of food and the service at this restaurant which we visited for the first time. Excellent value for money and we will certainly be back in the future.

MPs Bistro in Edinburgh is very central, within a small hotel, which has lots of traditional character. Parking available right outside the door on a Friday evening is a bonus. Pleasant cosy atmosphere in the restaurant - even though it was busy (residents also dining) we felt quite private at our table. Waitresses polite and attentive. Food well-presented, pretty good, though soup too salty - unusual these days. Complimentary glass of wine made it good value.

MPs Bistro Edinburgh Very good value 2 courses and glass of wine £15. The service and the waitresses were excellent. We opted to have a main and a dessert and we not disappointed. The food was hot and nicely presented.

amazing food, lovely staff and a great place in general! only wish I could have finished all my food, portions were HUGE! :-D

Excellent meal & superb value. Would certainly return to this restaurant. Had never heard of the MP's Bistro & would not have found it without Top table as Edinburgh has so many to choose from.

Parliament House Hotel, Edinburgh

This was a good value emal and the quality of food was good, though they do charge for extras despite having 2 course offer eg side dishes. On the downside we were the only ones in the restaurant and the decor clashed quite badly eg mix of Scottish and Mediterean with music not to our taste.

Good food, good service excellent.

At the back of an empty hotel with no other customers did not make for the most attractive of settings, if you are trying to get away from thoughts of the recession this is not the place to come, service was prompt due to the lack of other customers, food was all too salty but was washed down with the free glass of wine on offer, toilets are back at reception which is pretty far away but they were nice and clean. Overall fairly disappointing.

I like this location - MP's Bistro nearby the St James Centre in Edinburgh. I was disappointed in the haggis parcels starter which was three little half teaspoons of haggis in pastry. This was not worthy of being classed as a haggis starter. I wished I had complained but I didn't want to upset the rest of the evening.

Mp's bistro Edinburgh. Excellent food. Great service.

MPs Bistro, Parliament House Hotel - booked the buffet meal on Hogmany - lovely start to the evening - typical Scottish hotel. Had a pre dinner drink in the reception area in front of a lovely fire - turned out to be a gas one but was set in the original tiled fireplace. Staff were very friendly and attentive but didnt push the drinks menu onto you. Smoked salmon and prawn mousse with cucumber salsa very tasty. Plenty of food from the buffet - beef was very tender and roast potatoes superb.

Very nice. Good value, nice sized portion with a free glass of wine!

Good food, but very quiet (only 2 other dinners) at time of visit 7.30pm

MP's Bistro in Edinburgh is a lovely find and one I will return to. I had a lovely evening in the bistro on saturday. Food, service and value for maney all fab.A pity they weren't busier.

My wife and I dined at MP's bistro in Edinburgh and chose the special offer of 2 courses and a glass of wine for £15. My starter of Arbroath smokie and mussel quiche was delicious and my wife's baby leek and goats cheese salad was well presented and very tasty. For main course, we chose hake with puy lentils and chicken breast on a bed of roasted sweet potato in a shallot sauce. We were both given generous portions and the service was excellent. We will certainly return.

MP's Bistro in Carlton Hill, Edinburgh. Strange quiet place, associated with the hotel. Food ok but not terrific. I had fish and mussel quiche for a starter and a bit bland salmon on courgette risotto. My partner had salad to start with and a steak with chips. Steak was a bit tough but chips were terrific. The portions are decent size and the service attentive. As said before - drinks are a bit pricy.

MP's Bistro in Calton Hill offered a very nice ambience and the staff were very attentive without being over the top. Excellent value for money.

The MP's Bistro offers diners a welcoming an relaxed environment. The staff are friendly and helpful. Decor is well presented and pleasing to the eye, making the visit very enjoyable.

The food is excellent, can't fault the quality or selection of dishes.

This restaurant is a MUST try. I can highly recommend this place.

MP'S Bistro in Edinburgh was a very excellent venue and the meal was delicious. We loved the ambience and felt very much welcome. The food was good and wholesome but could have done with a bit more variety for the main courses.

Very good meal at a good cost! Will be back

Enjoyed our meal at MP's Bistro, Parliment House Hotel, Edinburgh. The service was friendly and the menu had a good choice of food to choose from.

The offer of two courses and wine at £15 was well worth the money as the food was of high quality.

The two waitresses were very friendly and attentive.

Nice food & good service. Only disappointment was that after ordering the Arbroath smokie & mussel quiche, we were told it would not be ready foe at least an hour.

MP's Bistro Edinburgh.

Booked for the pre-theatre menu 2 courses plus glass of wine and thought the meal was great value, the service was second to none and the atmosphere was buzzing. Would certainly go again.

Nice place with good service, and good food - was a little quite for us for a saturday night

Considering our visit was during Festival time, it was surprising to see this place so quiet. Some people may see that as a bad thing, but it was nice to be out of the hussle and bustle, and the food did not disappoint. Generous portions of tasty grub made the set menu deal great value for money, and it's very well-located close to the royal mile. Head up Calton Hill before hand to work up your appetite and get great vews of the city!

MP's Bistro (Edinburgh) was ok overall. Main courses very good (though steak came with a hefty supplement); starters disappointing, and cheese (another supplement) was of the dull, supermarket variety, and straight from the fridge (and so far too cold). Service a bit inexperienced.

MP's Bistro, Edinburgh - We arrived early for our reservation at 8 o'clock and sat in the comfy Hotel lounge area with a bottle of wine. The restaurant was a quiet, comfortable area. Good choice of food on the menu and everyone in our party of four was pleased with what they got. We were given a jug of iced water with slices of lemon and lime for the table (a nice touch). Staff were all pleasant and helpful. All in all good value for money.

MP's Bistro is a lovely restaurant with 1st class food which is beautifully served by pleasant waiting staff

Lovely little bistro tucked up behind a hotel, Parliament House Hotel. We came from the other side of the hotel so found it difficult to find. However, once there it was very pleasant. The waitress was very attentive and extremely happy and polite. The offer menu is very limited but the food is not brought out in small portions, the portions are very good. We had soup to start and chicken and steak for mains. (The steak was extra).

I booked a table for 2 at the MP's Bistro in Edinburgh for 1st August mainly because it was one of the very few restaurants which offered a deal during this busy period. We were amazed to discover what amazing value for money it turned out to be! Generally, I have found, offers like this (2 x courses and a glass of wine for £14 or 3 x courses for £16) are very small portions - not here! The staff were superb - friendly and attentive, but not overly so. I will definitely return! Go!!

Our first visit to MPs Bistro in Edinburgh and it was a pleasant surprise. Staff were excellent and food was very good. At £14 for two courses and a glass of wine it was excellent value for money. Menu had the normal range of choices so that everyone was catered for. Portions size was good.

Visited MP's Bistro Sat 2nd July at 6.30 for early bird deal and once again we were not disappointed in the meal. It was served promptly without being rushed. Waiting staff very attentive and met our needs fully. Menu provides 4 choices each course, good value for money with comp glass of wine. Monika remembered us from our previous visit which was over 4 weeks ago. Will be back and our friend was very impressed this was her first visit and will return.

The MP"s Bistro in Edinburgh was a revelation, first class food, great atmosphere and quick and friendly service. Will certainly visit again.

MP's Bistro in Edinburgh food and service was excellent. Very polite staff and offer of 2 courses for £14 including a glass of wine, was excellent value for money.

MP's Bistro, Parliament House Hotel, Edinburgh. Very enjoable night. Food and service ware very good and the atmosphere was relaxed. Will book again.

This was my first visit to MP's, and I was very impressed. Both starter and main course were very tasty and the complimentary glass of wine was surprisingly nice for a house red. The staff were attentive and approachable and when I had to send a liqueur coffee back they took it off the bill without question. Toilets were fine for me, unsure if there are disabled ones available in hotel? Fantastic value for money and near Waverley Station means I definitely intend to return. Would recommend.

MP,s Bistro, Food very well presented and hot plates, but the food was so so bland no flavour , very disapointed, wine good, also had to weight 30 mins for bill.

Will not return.

MP's Bistro Parliament House Hotel Edinburgh, four of us visited on Saturday night and enjoyed a very nice meal - two main courses had to be returned as the sauces were cold. but this was quickly rectified and did not spoil the evening. Excellent value for money.

MP's Bistro is probably the best restaurant I have been to in Edinburgh so far, the food was excellent and very good value. I would highly recommend this establishment!

Very nice little resturant in a hiden side road

Menu was very limited. The starters were ok, but the mains were vey disappointing.

MP's bistro, hidden around the corner towards Calton Hill in Edinburgh, offers an interesting mix of fine foods with some great Scottish inspired dishes such as chicken stuffed with haggis! Elegant surroundings and fine service make this an enjoyable evening.
