From entrance to service to exit... I booked this as a treat for my grandmother who was visiting from the north. The service and the food was perfect and a great deal with the top table offer. I would certainly go again .

Royal Horse Guards Parade Hotel food was wonderful starters Maclean pate and chicken liver, main were Salmon and pork both good portions,Bread and Water plentiful .Wine expensive starting at £30 a bottle but very nice.Restaurant and toilets great.

Food good Service very slow

Outstanding fine dining experience at One Twenty One Two with a great table d'hote offer and exemplary service.

Fantastic food and service! I had lunch and evening dinner at this restaurant and both were superb. The staff are exceptional and nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommended.

Amazing! we did the 5 course tasting menu with champagne. Every aspect was perfect and delicious. The staff were very attentive and knowledgeable.

Nice restaurant, good food and service

Instead of the pre-theatre offer (which had limited choice), we went for the a la carte menu. Ingredients were delightfully British, my scallops and beef were very well cooked. Would go back for a special occasion (or work-funded do!),

Beautiful dining area within Guoman. The service was impeccable and the food well presented, decent sized portions and tasty! Will go back.

great venue, fautless food, attentive service, will be back for special ocassion

Thoroughly recommend 1-2-1-2, excellent for lunch. Ther service was impeccable and although a little limited the set menu was good quality and the food excellent. Will go back.

Moderate to small portions. We were put next to another couple in a sparcely populated dining room with free window seats with what was probably a great view.

Atmosphere of US hotel, vaguely 70s ambience, rather dull. Food in same category - good quality, no spark. If you have wine and coffee, the £15 menu doubles.

1212 Whitehall: lunch special booked through Top Table was reasonable value for money and quality. We had to hurry the staff along at the end as the kitchen were late in bringing out the desserts, which was disappointing. Although quite busy, didn't have much of a buzz about it.

Excellent service as usual. Great starter and main. A little disappointed by the desert as I like my sticky toffee puddings to be really sticky, otherwise great.

One Twenty One Two - London

First time in this restaurant and we were very impressed. The food was absolutely fantastic and service was top-notch. Not situated in a location I would normally go to but will definitely book again.

One Twenty One Two is part of the Royal Horseguards Hotel just off Whitehall, so a wonderfully central location and the interior sets a very exclusive and special atmosphere. The service was excellent, striking the right balance between attentive and intrusive. The food was excellently prepared and superbly presented. The style was modern English - good portion sizes too so that we certainly gelt that we'd eaten more than enough.

Lunch, table d'hote menu. Good value in an excellent setting. Service was attentive but no intrusive. Pre-lunch drinks in the lounge and being called to the table only when the first course was ready to be served was a very pleasant touch. Choice of 3 dishes for each course - all well presented and very tasty. Good to see cheese selection as one of the suite courses at no extra cost - and it was a generous cheese selection at that. Would recommend and will return

I was definitely not disappointed when I walked through the door. Ambience was perfect, decor was classy. Service was spot on, and staff were attentive to needs and well mannered. I had high expectations of the food due to other reviews, but was let down as the food was above average, but was missing that 'wow' factor.

The food at the Royal Horseguards Hotel in Whitehall was excellent (though the toptable lunch menu was a bit limited) The service was impeccable. The menu was very good value for money, though the wine was on the pricey side at a minimum of £30.00 per bottle (but very drinkable!!) The only thing letting it down was the fact that on a Monday lunchtime we were literally the only 4 people in the restaurant. So the ambience was shall we say subdued.

great deal at £15 for 2 courses. The service was so attentive. My bf and I will never forget this meal!

Visited One Twenty One Two, Royal Horseguards Hotel, on a Monday evening and it was a memorable experience. Although fairly quiet, it still had a nice ambience and everything from the food to the service was great - Manuel made it a very pleasant dining experience with his attentive and friendly service. To crown it, the TT offer made it a well priced meal for two. Would certainly recommend and would visit again.

Very nice location, had a good atmosphere due to a large number of ladies enjoying afternoon tea which looked lovely (note to self!). Exceptional value for food and excellent service apart from topping up our water with an additional bottle of water without us asking for it, and at £6 a bottle is a bit steep. Lovely decor although the amount of mirrors can leave you a bit disorientated, would return but ask for tap water next time...

The pre- theatre dinner at One Twenty One Two in Whitehall Court, Westminster was a most relaxed and enjoyable affair- and quantities were just perfect, quality very high!

One twenty One two. London

Nice food better toilet .) The place is very nice and the service is very attentive.

Drinks are very expensive which make the whole offer not as good as it looked.

Great food, great location, great service and through toptable a great price

Wonderful food, drinks are pricey but pinot grigio was delicious, and with the value of the lunch deal it doesn't matter. Service was attentive without being intrusive, for special occasions would definitely go again.

One Twenty One Two is a smart place to have lunch. Quiet and unassuming it provided us with a decent lunch at an affordable price.

Great food, even better service!

The 1212 Restaurant in the Royal Horseguards Hotel was not for me the hoot it could have been. The food was mediocre to tasteless. The menu for toptable is fairly pedestrian and dull. I loved the idea that the building was once Old Scotland Yard, but that was a far as my "love" went. Shame!

Visited on a Tuesday night so perhaps why the restaurant was so quiet. Very good surroundings and a great cocktail bar. Food quality is high with very good fish dishes..they tried a bit too hard with an amuse bouche of beetroot foam/cream which didnt work but other than that all was fine. A good selection of wine at sensible pricing and a very attractive pre-theatre meal offer. Overall worth a visit although more suited to a quiet couple evening than a lively group.

I booked on the 2 for £15 offer for lunch. Food and service are both excellent. In fact I would have happily paid more than the 12.5% service charge.

The perfect location for a business lunch! Quiet, tables well spaced, attentive but not overbearing staff and well presented in every way. A real pity more people do not frequent this polished establishment as it deserves to be better utilised!

One Twenty One Two, London

Nice venue and good food. Very good value for the £15 lunch offer

One Twenty One Two at the Royal Horseguard Hotel is a gem. Amazing ambience and great food. The 3 courses offer is a bargain.

one twenty one whitehall court wine prices though the roof

really good meal - great value

Excellent TT deal - food, service, ambience etc. Would definitely recommend this restaurant.

it s a very quiet place for dinner. we did take the 2 course deal. we found the portions and the choice of menu quite small, but the food was good

Excellent lunch at One Twenty One Two. Staff were great.

We went to One Twenty One Two at London's Horseguards Hotel to celebrate my friends retirement. We did the three course toptable offer, and the food and service were fabulous. Nice bottle of St Emillion from the (extensive) wine list just topped off what was a great meal. The deserts were the standout, but all the food was lovely. Highly recommended for a classy lunch spot.

We opted for 15 pound set menu. Were seated towards the back, away from the verandah - maybe we were underdressed! Set menu choice was very limited, 3 choices for Starter and 3 for Main. But a truly delicious duck a la orange. Would consider again, but dress up a bit.

One Twenty One Two

Royal Horseguards Hotel, Whitehall Court, Westminster, London, SW1A 2EJ

Took a good friend here for a retirement lunch. Venue nice and comfortable, offer menu reasonable choice from starters, main and dessert for £15 per head. The food was a good portion for a lunch and well cooked. Served nicely.

However, the drinks were in my view expensive at £7-8 per glass for a wine. £5 for a bottle of water and £11 for a pot of coffee.

One Twenty One Two - fantastic location and lovely restaurant - could not fault anything. Would be better if they had free Wifi though - they'd get a lot more people using their lovely lounge.

One Twenty One Two London was a fab venue for a leisurely lunch with a friend I hadn't seen for a while. Great food and wine selection. Service was just ok initially but did improve later when there was a change of staff. Would definitely return here.

Fantastic! We were served a surprise starter and were treated with divine chocolates, all served with a twinkly smile. And the food was to die for. A hidden treasure of a restaurant!

A slightly drab subterranean interior to this bizarrely named restaurant-- surely the old Scotland yard phone number was WHITEHALL One Two One Two ?? --and the food was patchy. Neither of us was quite clear that we had been given the right order when the "fish mousse" arrived. Trianges of toast either side of a pale greenish smear across the centre of the plate. That was the mousse of course...

Mains better, but all seemed a little routine...

Needs a rethink.

The environment was good and we had a table near the window which gave us good night view near Embankment. The food quality was good and in a nice presentation. However the volume of the dishes was quite small - booking for 3 courses is recommended!

It was a beautiful hotel and the restaurant setting was lovely. The pre-theatre dinner menu was great though choices were limited however it did show the excellent quality of food. Service was erratic but that was due to a large event occurring at the Ballroom next door.

When the best thing about a place is the loos then you know its a problem. I think the food is pretty good but it looks like they rarely get lunch guests - we were the only table other than 1 other in 2 hours that had guests. We actually had to find the waiters - it literally took 10mins to get someone to the table to just have a drink which is the worst I've had. It just feels like the restaurant has been forgotten and its more of a hotel.....the chef must be suicidal as the food is decent.
