Beautiful food, excellent service.

Excellent food and ambience

Luncheon at Piccolinos on Cook Street, Liverpool yesterday (16th April 2012) was delightful. He had bruschetta with tomatoes and onions and pronounced it yummy. I had the chicken livers which were plentiful and delicious. We had a bottle of Montressor Soave which complemented our meal perfectly. For mains he had the pork meatballs with spaghetti and I had smoked salmon with asparagus and farfalle. Cappuccinos to finish. Brilliant AND ALL THE STAFF ARE ITALIAN. No wi-fi unfortunately.

Piccolino in Liverpool, lovely atmosphere, friendly but efficient staff, fantastic food = 5 very satisfied customers!

Great venue for a large group. Service is really good here. Very relaxed atmosphere - is better for a laid-back gathering.

went to piccolino in liverpool on friday , have to say we where very impressed, thoroughly enjoyed it all, loved the complimentary bruschetta with our prossecco , plus our bread and olives before our meal, small details but make the difference, the manager noticed our table was wobbling before we did , and set to right away to fix it, very attentive throughout, wish we lived nearby as it would be a regular restaurant for us . thought i was back in italy not liverpool with all the italian waiters

Piccolino liverpool

Not the usual standard i expect from this chain! Sat in a nice window seat upstairs after refusing table downstairs as my partner would have been sitiing closer to a stranger than me! Had to then fight for attention for service and my whole sea bass appeare as filets!

Very pleasant restaurant but very noisy and on this occaision very crowded but good service

The food was good, service was also really good.

Liverpool on a wet & windy night.

What better place to warm you up and raise the spirits than Piccolino's.

Hearty tasty Italian fare served up by friendly staff.

The food at the Piccolino in Liverpool was pretty good. I always try a bruschetta and spaghetti vongole as a test for how good their basic food is. They were both very good. Wine was pretty pricey and the service a bit erratic, but I would definitely go there again.

Nice restaurant with good staff who tried hard to please but the food was disappointing and they seemed a bit over stretched. Maybe it was just us and it may be worth another visit another time as it certainly felt like it could be better.

Excellent service, excellent food. My third visit in a year and yet to be disappointed. Fantastic restaurant.

went to Piccolinos in Liverpool last night . We all had a great meal and the service was excellent.

Piccolino's restaurant was recommended as we were on business in Liverpool from London. Food and service were very good.

A great busy Italian restaurant, fast paced friendly service and excellent quality food. Bang in the city centre, ideal ifyou're going to the Cavern Club as we were.

Lovely food, great atmosphere

Last night I dined at Piccolino in Liverppol with my daughter.

Despite arriving an hour earlier than our reservation it presented no problems and we were shown to our table and greeted very pleasantly.

Our food arrived promptly and we both enjoyed our salad and pasta selections washed down with a very quaffable house Sangiovese.

If I'm in Liverpool again i will definitely consider a return visit

This is the second time I have had dinner at Piccolino's in Cook Street Liverpool. I wondered if my very favourable impressions of the first visit would be maintained.I was not disappointed. Both times I have had fish as the main course and it was excellent again. The service is very good from bein welcomed at the door, being shown to your table and throughout the meal. It is rapidly rising to the forefront of my mind whenever thinking of taking out someone to dinner

Had Saturday lunch at Piccolino in Liverpool as up for business. Was quite quiet but nice atmosphere. I ordered the carpaccio which was lovely except for the massive amount of mayonnaise all over it....had to scrape most of it off. The seafood risotto was a bit oily but nice. Came away feeling full, I did order the starter size for mains as well so sure would have been really full if had had main size! Overall seemed a lovely place for lunch and would probably go again.

Ate at piccolinos in Liverpool with my husband last night. Really good atmosphere - busy but not too noisy. Much less pretentious than San Carlos on the corner. Friendly, genuine attentive staff. Good food served over a sociable period of time. Had Carpacchio which was the thinnest I've ever had then the Carbonara which was served with a poached egg on top - nice twist.

Nice atmosphere, service little slow but worth the wait! Would recommend.

very good service and food excellent. will go again

We had a lovely time at Piccolino. We went on a busy Saturday night, booking is definately advisable. The staff were very friendly and apologetic for our slight delay to get to the table. The food was wonderful as was the wine list!

Piccolino 14a Cook Street, Liverpool

Good food, slick, if slightly impersonal service though that could just have been the waiter that served us.

We went to Piccolino to celebrate the engagement of my nephew and birthday of my neice and we weren't disappointed. The food was fantastic, the staff friendly - they put sparklers in the birthday girl's dessert, and the atmosphere was lively for a Sunday evening. Had lunch here a couple of times and dinner did not disappoint.

Piccolo's in Liverpool; go for the atmosphere, not so much the food! Lively, loud, friendly service and well priced wine! Standard pizzas, breadcrumbed swordfish (!) over-buttered gamberoni and average pollo funghi. No matter, still fun!

Piccolino - Liverpool

Excellent food and service. Would definitely recommend for atmosphere and the staff were very friendly.

We ate at Piccolinos in Liverpool on a Friday night. The atmosphere was really nice, the service was excellent and the food was delicious. I would definitely recommend it

I had a great time at Piccolino in Liverpool. The food was absolutely marvellous and I had perhaps the best sea bass I had ever tasted. The service was top class from entering the restaurant to leaving. There was a real buzz about the place.

Piccolino in Liverpool has good service, excellent food and focuses on a menu where the importance is placed on cooking the ingredients well, and making the ingrediens speak for themselves. Although the restaurant is relatively small, it does not give you a crowded feeling, it is cosy when busy but more intimate than congested.

Piccolino Liverpool. Food excellent as usual. Divine risotto with fennel, pink lamb with gnocci and peas. My only criticism would be the over-attentive service. It gets a bit wearing to be asked "is everything ok?" at least three times during every course - I like to pour my own wine too.

Piccolino, Liverpool

Booked for 8.30 Saturday evening - restaurant was very busy, but staff coped admirably, were very helpful and took the time to give any explanations required. Regarding the food - only two criticisms: the Calamari starters were extremelyl salty, and the fillet steak ordered "blue" was a little bit overdone. The code with pea risotto was excellent, as were the bread and olives which we had whilst deciding on the menu. All in all, an above average meal.

Our trip to Piccolino in Liverpool on Friday 17th September was as usual a very enjoyable experience. The food is always very good and the attentive and experienced staff are always on hand to advise. This visit our waiter recommended a Sicilian red wine that was" able to hold its own against a Barolo" and he was not wrong!! Great venue, great food, great staff, thanks again for a graet night. The ambience is fantastic here. We started with a glass of Prosecco at the bar before going to our table. We were sat by a rather noisy group of men on an evening out, and the staff came over and offered us another table, which was great. The food was delicious - between the two of us we had the aubergine parmagiana and the king prawns to start, the lamb with gnocchi and veal milanese for main, and we both had afogato for dessert. This was washed down with the Valpolicella. Brilliant evening.
