An excellent experience. We had three course, but I counted the arrival of 8 items in total, from the amuse bouche to the marshallows after dessert, and palate cleansers in-between. The food was stunning and the service understated but personalized and attentive. Wines available by the glass and not overly expensive. Definitely a restaurant for a special occasion or blow-out, as it is on the slightly more pricey side. Amongst the best restaurants we've eaten at though, and we will be going back.

My boss had dinner with his wife at Roux at Parliament Square last night in Westminster. They said that the food was superb as was the service. They thoroughly recommend this restaurant for a special dinner.

Roux is a very pleasant place to dine in a refined setting with lots of good old fashioned touches like intermediate courses and courteous service. On this occasion, the upstairs bar was much appreciated and as our party was large enough, the separate 'library' room provided privacy as well as a great meal. The wine list is particularly well chosen and the house selections are very good value. Will be back!

Roux in London is a great restaurant with delicious food and excellent service.

an amazing gastronomic experience . we had the taster menu with wines to compliment every dish . yes the decor was bland , but the food was anything but ....

Excellent venue, very friendly staff who make you feel really welcome. Food presentation is beautiful, full of nice surprises.

Roux at Parliament Square in London is an ideal location for business lunch with contacts in Westminster and Whitehall in a sophisticated yet relaxed ambience. Good food and excellent service make for a very enjoyable dining experience.

Roux at Parliament Square lived up to the Roux name : Unpretentious, warm and attentive service, delicious food and amuse-bouches, a good selection of wine and finished with the signature Le Gavroche Calvados. Certainly worth a return visit.

Excellent dinner, though diners leaving a private room on a frequent basis and moving between the tables to reach outdoors/toilets somewhat distracting. Would definitely go again.

Lovely meal - bit of a delay before the main course was served but other than that a fantastic lunch. Really good value!

I had been to Roux before and been a bit disappointed but it was glorious this time, really good food, and great service.

This was my first visit to Roux at Parliament Square. The menu was varied and interesting without being weird. The food was divine. Service was spot on - not too fussy. At £25 for three courses and coffee (set menu), you cannot complain about the pricing either. The only reason I would hesitate to go back is that the atmosphere is rather lacking - the restaurant was not terribly busy and it felt a bit too quiet for me. Perfect for those who like a quiet chat though.

it was a midweek treat for my husband, and the roux brand did not fail me.the fixed menu looked incredible and priced extremely reasonably, but since neither of us have dessert we went for the a la carte .the quality of product used could not be faulted.the cooking was good

Set lunch menu is fantastic value. Tables are nice and far apart, atmosphere calm and elegant but not stuffy.

What a delight to dine at Roux at Parliament square, the ambiance, the service, the food is second to none. This Roux obviously didnt fall very far from the paternal tree, a must visit restaurant in London.

Excellent, as always!

My first visit to the Roux at Parliament Square (in London) did not disappoint. All the staff treated us incredibly well, they were friendly without being familiar and provided excellent advice on wine and food. The food was at a very high standard. We went for a special occasion and if the prices fit your budget I would recommend it.

As on my previous visit, Roux at Parliament Square was excellent in all respects - attentive but not over zealous service, good fine from the daily menu and a nice room where you feel quite private - even though the room is open.

My partner and I went to Roux last night for my birthday. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. The service was amazing, tentative but not over the top. We opted for the 7 course tasting menu and it was amazing, I could not fault any of the courses. At the end of our meal the waiter served my dessert with Happy Birthday written in chocolate on my plate which was a nice touch.

Excellent food, although sometimes a little slow in terms of getting food out, but totally understandable given quality.

We had incredibly high expectations of Roux, and they were very much surpassed. Outstanding food, perfect service (without being in anyway pretentious), and lovely wine. We hope to go back very soon.

Perfect venue for a social lunch with colleagues/friends in the centre of London. Roux at Parliament Square has a great lunch menu and service, would definitely go back again very soon.

A welcome but expensive addition to the desert that is the westminster restaurant scene.

Incredible service, good sommelier and great food for the price.

High recommend

Wonderful food - really hearty, which was just what we were after on a cold december night. Not much choice for veggies - only one option on the menu. We enjoyed starters (foie gras, very juicy crab raviolo) and mains (lovely saddle of rabbit, hogget), too full for pudding. Wine recommendation from the sommelier was disappointing - a thin vin de pays for for upwards of £40. The bar upstairs is really nice and served great cocktails, let down by service and feeble pork scratchings. Would return.

Roux at Parliament Square offers delicious French cuisine. The service is great and very efficient. Perfect place for a client lunch/dinner.

The waiters and waitresses could be less 'stiff' and more warming to their guests. That only adds personality to a restaurant, as the interior decorating did not help with that.

I took my mother and daughter to Roux at Parliment Square, we arrived early so we could enjoy the beautiful comfortable bar upstairs and peruse the menu at our leisure. The waiter in the bar was fantastic, attentive but not overpowering. The maitre de however was a different matter, she was very pushy almost to the point of bullying and was determined to get us to our table as quickly as possible. The food was excellent, as was the service but the maitre de spoilt the ambience for us all.

Roux at Parliament Square gives a delightful insight into Roux's vision of cuisine. A good wine list with a very wide range indeed, with prices to suit all. The bar is very pleasant - service was charming but slow and my order was not correctly served. Restaurant service was pretty amateur and the staff were generally not very well turned out. Food-wise it was all amazing apart from dull bread and an unpleasant pre-dessert ice. So the kitchen is really well run and front of house lets it down.

Roux at Parliament Square, London. Great location and very pleasant bar and restaurant. Service was attentive and informative. Food well presented with great flavours. Relatively good value for money. All in all well worth a visit.

Service and wine suggestions were superb. Food was pretty much faultless

The food was largely very good. However I ordered the crab dish and much to my shock I found 4 large pieces of shell in my meal. The chef came out and personally apologised but this is far from the level of quality I was expecting from a Roux restaurant. Disappointing,

Excellent service, very good menu

Roux at Parliament Square is close to the Houses of Parliament and seems as badly governed. There is a comfortable bar upstairs, but the drinks and nibbles were transported from downstairs (AND we were charged £6 for the nibbles which in most bars come free) added to which someone elses bar drinks were put on our final bill. Admin aside, the food was very good, but not exceptional, and the dining room itself was bland and uninspiring. Attentive service, but somehow not a memorable meal.

First visit to Roux and very impressed. Fine dining in the tradtional French style with delicious intermediate courses punctuating excellent inventive cooking. Charming service and a refined decor complete the experience. Wine is of high quality and price for quality is good. The upstairs bar was not tested but sounds worth a visit. Will be back for special treat meals!

Roux at Parliament Square, London - Very useful venue for business lunches, particularly as the service was first class. Good value set lunch for £25 for three courses. All enjoyed their meal.

This restasurant was superb. We had the fixed price lunch and the presentation was exquisite and the portions exactly right. Discreet but efficient service - all round a superb lunch and I have put this on my current favourites list.

Service rather slow, although excellent food as always.

Roux at parliament square was delightful, elegant and just delicious. One of the very few top class dining experiences worth trying in this area. Service terrific.

It was a very enjoyable meal with good food and service.

Wonderful experience had by us and my 2 daughters. Relaxed accommodating staff and excellent food. Hope to Return again.

very swish dining room with lots of famous MPs. very tasty food & excellent value using their fixed price menu. Waiters continually filling your glass & v attentive.

Good food and service, felt a little rushed at times but overall a great meal.

Roux is a great venue for dinner in Westminster

Roux at Parliament Square ..... Fabulous!

I was very dissapointed with my evening at this particular Roux restaurant. Had the 5 course tasting menu: No options, but they did agree to swap out one of the courses. 5 courses to me does not include counting the coffee and petit fours! Crackling on the assiette of suckling pig was not up to scratch, should as it says be crackling. What we got was soggy and chewy. We were rushed through the meal and it only lasted 75 mins at the most. Finally wouldn't take my Amex card to add insult!

Roux at Parliament Square, London The summer menu offered affordable fine dining and we added the wine pairing. Couldn't fault the food. Service could have been better as they forgot us on a couple of occasions during the 5 course meal, but the staff were friendly and helpful when present. The ambience was lacking a little, seeming to be mostly formal business dinners. By 10.20pm we were the last to leave and the restaurant was closing, so not one for romance or intimate dinners with friends.
