Excellent service and great food - but really, really loud music. More of a pub with a few tables than a 'Restaurant and Bar'. Almost impossible to talk to diners opposite.

Went to the Loosebox on Horseferry Rd with 2 friends for lunch today. It was all very nice and the food is reasonably priced. V good meet and greet - I sat in the lounge area to wait for my friends and someone came over to ask if I wanted a drink almost immediately; table service also pleasant and efficient, nice ambience and the food choice is a bit different from the usual offerings. Definitely recommend.

The Loose Box in Horseferry Rd, London SW1 is good value for slightly upmarket catering very freshly prepared, and the staff are pleasant. Gratis bread and oils at the start were generously provided and my only (rather churlish) gripe is that the mess we made of this (plateless) was not cleaned up before the meal was served. If you intend to do conversation ask for a quiet corner - my party of 6 were put at the back away from the shouty lunchers, and we were well attended to.

Very nice and reasonable restaurant. We will definitely return soon. Thank you for the lovely time!

We went to the Loose Box Bar & Kitchen, London yesterday evening. The place was very lively (perhaps a bit too noisy) and the service was great. However, the food disappointed. Starters (kidneys & ham hock were fine) but the fish main courses (lemon sole and mackerel) were overdone as were the potatoes..

Was a bit empty Saturdy lunch time. But service was great and food also

the Loose Box was a very pleasant venue for Sunday lunch. The food is cooked to perfection. I had chicken breast - very moist. Not something I have very often as it's usually overcooked. Not here. The squid starter was also excellent

The Loose Box Bar and Kitchen in London, great place for brunch before going to Tate Britain. Staff excellent and varied selection of freshly made tasty food. Probably very busy during week with office staff. Weekend very empty and felt a bit vacuous but good place to meet up with friends.

I took a party of Japanese visitors for lunch and they were delighted. It was my first visit as we are still discovering places near our new offices for business lunches. The staff were very helpful and efficient, the food was very good value and the menu offered a good choice. It would be even better if they could improve the ventilation to reduce the cooking smells, but we'll definitely go back again.

The Loose Box Bar & Kitchen, London - nice venue, if a tad noisy on the night we went due to several works parties but food good.

Lovely Food - good choice of food to pick form the menu - nice size portions will be back again! ;0)

Great atmosphere for a drink with friends or colleagues, and on top of that, took my girlfriend here for dinner the other day and she loved it. The staff were extremely attentive and very knowledgeable without being over the top. We had a nice intimate meal but as mentioned, very well enjoyed with friends too!

The Loose Box LONDON SW1 All very good need I say more!

The Loose Box in SW1 offered good food and service but was too noisy for a business lunch.

Very good food as always, I tend to have the mushroom, aubergine and halloumi burger because I know I'll enjoy my meal. The service is prompt and friendly and reasonably priced. Nice decor and ambience too, def a good spot for after work or lunchtimes

Excellent food as always.

Great lunch. Food outstanding and nothing was too much trouble for the friendly staff. Lively atmosphere and enjoyed a really chilled afternoon. Will definitely make a special trip to town to try Sunday Lunch. Would definitely recommend.

Went to the loose box for sunday lunch with my girlfriend, we both had the roast beef. The food was fantastic and portions very generous, we had a realy great lunch the staff all had a smile on there face and made us feel welcome. i would recomend this bar to anyone.

The Loose Box Bar and Kitchen, London: nice chilled out place to enjoy good food and drink. The service was also excellent.

Great breakfast meeting venue- good choices on menu. I'd recommend the City Breakfast. Lunch was okay but staff rushed off feet-however, it was Christmas Party season.

Loose Box Bar, Horseferry Rd, London - a cheery venue with attentive staff (despite the masses of Christmas lunches in) and an interesting menu selection. Steak was beautifully cooked but we all agreed we wouldn't bother with the dessert again which was just ok (chocolate tart). Great champagne and a convivial two hour lunch with no hint of being hassled to leave the table. Will definitely revisit.

Great food, excellent selection of wines and European beers.

Great staff - Lovely atmosphere and looks much nicer inside than the outside would let you think. Fish was amazing!

We enjoyed a nice long Sunday afternoon lunch at The Loose Box Bar and Kitchen. In spite of a very large party having sat down at the same time as us, service was good and very friendly. Food was good quality and well presented. Wine was reasonable. Ambience was nice and buzzy. Would definitely return.

Went with a large crowd to celebrate a birthday. Staff were immediately welcoming and attentive througout, food was great and nice touch at the end when we discovered some superb cigars on offer.

The loose box in horseferry road was, again, a great visit - tasty food and friendly service! A wee bit noisy with the after work drinkers, but quietens down after 9 pm.

The food was pleasant but not massively sophisticated. The service was good but rather relaxed. The bill seemed to be slightly too much for the restaurant and quality of the meal.

The Loose Box Bar and Kitchen does a really good Sunday roast. A generous main meal so no real need for a starter. I tend to go there because it is local to where I live but probably wouldnt go out of my way. It tends to be very quiet on a Sunday which, if you like it quiet is a good thing. Shame they never seem to participate in TT offers as then I might go more often.

The Loose Box looks as great from the front as good as the food tastes! Cheap but great food and service.

Good food, good atmosphere, would go again.

The Loose Bar in Westminster was a great venue. We booked for a work outing and pre ordered the food in advance. Everything tasted lovely and was well presented. Good value and service. Would recommend.

Saturday afternoon at The Loose Box was quiet, but the food was very good and the service excellent.

I visited the Loose Box for breakfast on of the weekdays. The ambience was relaxed and comfortable. The food was good, but could have been better.

Nice bar. Slow service. The food was cooked to a pretty good standard, but the menu was fairly dull.

Poor service but if you are not unlucky enough to get the same waitress that we did you will enjoy the food and atmosphere.

Good space for business meetings or a quick catch up lunch Witt the girls. Nice decor. Food was lovely but the service was infuriatingly inefficient!

Friendly service and a good selection of beers. Wheelchair access was reasonable. My dessert had to be sent back as was stale but replacement provided without any fuss.

Excellent Sunday roast, good service and hearty portions. Especially impressed with the full vegetarian roast - a rare and beautiful thing.

The Loose Box in Millbank was lovely on a hot Friday evening, but would not recommend for a meal as the menu is limited especially for vegans.

Also a good local venue for a casual lunch with work colleagues . will always recommend

Loose Box is a venue I had walked past many times but never eaten at before - mainly because it has always looked a bit tired and down at heel. Not any more though.

It's been smartened up and both the service and the menus (food and drink) reflect that. Perfectly happy with the choice on offer though I suspect the venue itself cannot quite decide if it wants to be like a pub or a restaurant. Gastro presumably but one man's electic is another's confused.

Nevertheless, worth giving it a go

The Loose Box Bar and Kitchen, Horseferry Road - very friendly staff and good atmosphere for a relaxing Sat lunch that finished just before 5pm. Didn't feel rushed by staff to finish. Pretty decent salmon fillet with shrimp linguine and the haloumi burger. Recommend.

Love the Loose Box, friendly staff, very accommodating, quick service and great food.

Been to the Loose Box in Westminster a number of times and always previously impressed - however this visit was disappointing. Although the restaurant area wasn't full, the bar, wine bar and outside tables were MOBBED and the noise was so raucous/loud that we could barely hear each other speak. Sadly, the food was also below par and the white wine was warm (when I complained, I was told it was so busy the wine wasn't getting the chance to chill- and was offered ice to put in my glass!)

The Loose Box Bar and Kitchen, London - excellent venue for lunch; quick, efficient and very good value for money. I'd definately go back when in the area.

The Loose Box Bar and Kitchen 51 Horseferry Road, Westminster, London, SW1P 2AA 2 People, 12:45, 02 June 2011 Friendly and efficient service , great food and ambience

The Loose Box Bar: Excellent food, too slow with the food it took 45 minutes to get our food and we only had a 1 hour lunch break. However the manager running it was the right amount of cheeky with a smile so got a way with it! Just!

It was my first experience @ The Loose bar & we were really impressed. Very friendly & efficient staff. The food was fantastic and generous in size. I will be backing going back soon!

Loose Box Bar & Kitchen - Westminster. Bar/Brasserie, service was on the ball, food arrived quickly and was very tasty. Great place for a quick lunch if you are in the area and may visit again if we are.

Booked for family lunch. Very busy but service good in circumstances. Good mid week menu and convenient location for Millbank/Westminster
