Authentic and tasty food, charming service and a good wine list.

very pleasent friendly staff - food came quickly - very informal and a fun place to eat

note small venue so booking advised

The waitress was very patient as my partner and I didn't know what to choose since it was the first time we've tried their style of food and my goodness it was yummy thoroughly enjoyed our evening thank you

Great food at a great price - becoming a favourite when I visit Brighton

Warung Tujuh is centrally located in Brighton. We had the 'shared starter' which was excellent. Our mains were equally good. They were very flavoursome and tasty. Service was excellent.

Warung Tujuh maintains its record of vibrantly flavoured well presented food. Soup the sea bream main and pancakes made an appealing and satisfying meal. It's not cheap - but it's great value.

Amazing food and atmosphere as usual!

Excellent food and fast and friendly service.

Great authentic Malaysian food, lovely service, shame it wasn't busier as it deadened the atmosphere a little. The best Nasi Lemak I've had outside of Malaysia though. Very good value.

We had an excellent lunch at the Warung Tujuh, Brighton on Monday. The food was outstanding and the service excellent. We will definitely be returning.

Lovely brightly coloured food with all kinds of unusual new flavours.

A Good Menu (including options for those with food allergies / intolerances), Excellent Food, Great Service just a little pricey

A great meal and great service

Warung Tujuh in Brighton, this is the second time I have visited and can't wait for the 3rd. The food is delicious, freshly cooked and beautifully presented. I would recommend very strongly!

Visited Warung Tujuh in Brighton last night to celebrate my birthday. Great food and service. What more could you want?

Warung Tujuh in Brighton was excellent. The starters were delicious, and the mains hit the spot without being too filling. We had the set lunches and were both very happy with our chocies. We were there during lunch and it wasn't a problem, but I imagine the downstairs area could be pretty crowded in the evening. Service was good.

Warung Tujuh is a small venue. It was very busy on Saturday night when we went. Staff were pleasant and polite. Food was good with adequate portions. For those who have never tried Indonesian food, think of Thai food with fuller and richer flavours. Delicious.

Warung Tujuh is always good value for money and the quality is consistently good. Wine list starts a bit too pricey but the overall value is still good.

very good food and service, one to recommend v good value.

2nd visit to Warung Tujuh and just as fantastic as the first! The food was delicious (green beans with garlic and coconut rice) - very flavoursome and expertly done, the green beans having just the right amount of bite in them. The coconut rice was divine! Again, same as first visit, the service was brilliant, very smiley and nice without being in your face like they can in some places. I've said it before but will say it again, if you haven't been yet then go! You won't regret it.

Having read great things about Warung Tujuh in Brighton, my expectations werew high and I wan't disappointed; it's a really good restaurant. Often difficult to differentiate Indonesian food, Warung Tujuh managed it with really tasty dishes and good service.

Went to Warung Tujuh in Brighton on 10th March. Food and service were excellent. We had a table for two at the window - there were a couple of groups of 6-8 people on the same floor and it was very noisy - so I have rated the ambience lower!

Look, Warung Tujuh isn't Michelin-star dining, but it is super informal dining in a relaxed and stylish atmosphere. We were in a bit of a hurry to get to a concert and the waitstaff totally took care of us. Couldn't have been a nicer evening. When you're looking at the menu, note that main courses don't come with veg or rice so it's not quite as cheap as you think, but we shared a starter, had a main each, one glass wine, one fancy juice, and got out for £40.

I took my two sons (16 & 22) for a meal there. We enjoyed the food immensely and the service was very good. I would recommend it

What a hidden gem! Food absolutely delicious and fab service. Will definately be coming back.

we were a party of 7 on a Monday evening. The service was good but the food got a mixed reaction. Mine, a vegetarian dish was very good. I for one will visit again.

I took my visiting friend to Warung Tujuh in Brighton. She is a restaurant manager and a proper foodie = hard to impress. We both really enjoyed the food - fresh and interesting flavours. The surroundings were nice and the staff friendly and the right level of attentive. I have recommended this to colleagues and friends already and everyone who has been has enjoyed. Will definitely go again - also tempted to try their take away service...

Delightful staff, cosy setting, tasty food, welcomes all

Had dinner at the Warung Tujuh in Brighton this weekend. Would thoroughly recommend it. Food and service were great. Only complaint? Small, not very interesting beer choice - but that is being picky. They do a great value lunch deal as well.

Warung Tujuh - Brighton. Loved this place, a great menu of tasty authentic Indonesian dishes. Beef Rendang was delicious, as were all the other dishes ordered by our group. Service was also excellent.

Brilliant meal. Great service. They have expanded the menu since we last visited, so of you haven't been for a while it's worth another look.

Great food and very reasonably priced. There are a couple of main courses that offer "a little bit of everything " which really helps as the menu is quite extensive.

Maybe not a restaurant for really special occasions, but definitely a regular favourite.

Lovely delicious meal, cheap prices and relaxed atmosphere. Would definitely recommend.

warung tujuh in brighton was an amazingly authentic indonesian restaurant. really good food in an intimate setting. would highly recommend.

Lovely food though the staff seemed in a hurry to get us out even though we could have booked half an hour later

Love this place! Have recommended it to everyone, and gone back many times!

Warung Tujuh in Brighton gave our group of four a really tasty Indonesian meal. Varied satay tray, well sauiced, for starters. Their meat and fresh fish main dishes were both delicious, with subtle spicing, not fiery-hot unless specially requested. Ice creams and sherbets tasted really home-made and really different (jackfruit, coconut and ginger etc). Pleasant service and much better ambience than one would expect next to the bus staton!.

Extremely good food.

My boyfriend and I went there for dinner on Valentine's Day. The two of us didn't know much about it but since he likes Indonesian we thought we might give it a go. Surprisingly the food was amazing!

We enjoyed the atmosphere and I thought the little restaurant was a very cosy. I was very impressed by the service as well as the girl serving us was very polite and gay-friendly. Well done!

Went for lunch yesterday after several recommendations, the food that was served was faultless but 2 of the 3 dishes from the a la carte that my wife chose were unavailable. I have never been to Indonesia so can't comment on the authenticity but the food certainly didn't appear to have been westernised. This was some of the most flavoursome food I have ever tasted! I found the anchovy and peanut side challenging but everything else was wonderful. The portion sizes could be considered by some as on the small side but that did mean you have room for 3 courses of this flavour packed food. On the downside there was an all pervading smell of vomit coming from the toilets and due to the small size of the ground floor seating area it was unavoidable. Will still be going back though!

Warung Tujuh in Brighton serves up extremely delicious food that I really can't fault. I've been before in the evening and their beef rendang is sublime - one of the best plates in brighton. This time was for lunch: it's a different menu (no rendang!) but still v tasty and the value is superb. £7 for a 2-course lunch of this calibre is great. Service is warm and friendly. Recommended.

Went there with my boyfriend on Valentine's Day. First time there and took the sofa seat on the first floor. The little restaurant was cosy and the atmosphere was lovely and quite romantic.

My boyfriend likes Indonesian food and he agreed their food was amazing! And the service was very lovely and the staff were so friendly! The price was reasonable too. Will definitely go again!

This is my third visit to Warung Tujuh and I am never disappointed. Great food and service and at a reasonable price.

Not impressed with this place. Tables very close together. House wine was bad and food only just ok. I think all positive reviews are from the lunchtime offers which probably are good value for money, but this does not seem to apply to the evening. The food was not half as good as Street Thai and prices were similar. I will not be going back.

Warung Tujuh in Brighton is well worth a visit - higher quality asian food that at the chinese and great location next to the lanes. Booked a table upstairs to escape the sea breeze from the front door!

My new favourite restaurant! I love Indonesian cuisine and despite having spent time in Asia and hours trying to recreate the dishes I like at home they never taste quite the same. Warung Tujuh is however the real deal. Totally delicious dishes just like in Bali or Lombok and generous portions too - great value for money. The restaurant is modern and simple and the staff were really attentive. Best of all, they had bintang beer so despite being -4 outside I was transported somewhere warmer!

Had a great meal at Warung Tujah in Brighton. Excellent menu, great service and tasty food - would recommend the squid and hot and sour soup for starters. The staff were friendly and attentive and the bill was a reasonable £60 for 2 courses each with drinks.

Enjoyed a great meal at Warung Tujuh in Brighton. Excellent central location, and pleasant interior. Excellent value, great service, lovely food - will go back!

As usual fantastic food, service with a great atmosphere.

Warung Tujuh - Brighton Dining early on a Friday evening with my wife and young baby, I was a bit apprehensive about taking a pram in to what seemed like a very small restaurant. It certainlty wasnt and the service we received was excellent, the restaurant actually covers 3 floors! The food was as the reviews say, aboslutely delicious and plenty of it. I went for the warang platter as a sharing starter, which was delicious, then the sea bream with an amazing birds eye chilli sauce! Fantastic!!!
