On Monday 25th April 2016, Barrio Soho is joining forces with Herradura Tequila, for a hot and spicy chilli and tequila-tasting event. Tequila Herradura is one of the oldest and most respected producers of tequila, delivering a unique sensorial experience in each of it’s expressions.
At this fiery master class, spice loving tequila aficionados will have the chance to learn how the unique flavours of this popular Mexican tipple can be matched and contrasted with varying degrees of chillies, to create a taste-bud sensation of flavours.
On the evening, guests will be presented with one of Barrio’s’Hoodrat’ cocktails, to awaken their taste buds and get tongues tingling. Chilli expert and Barrio Brixton’s Head Chef, Heath McDonald will then introduce his three chosen chillies, which will be incorporated into a variety of flavoursome miniature canapés for guests to sample.
From Amarillo chilli cream to Rocoto mayonnaise and Panca chilli dip, Heath’s Baja Mexican cuisine is evident throughout the Barrio Brixton food menu and is sure to tantalise the taste buds and tickle the senses.
The canapés, which will all vary in spice, heat and intensity, have been specially matched to three different tequilas, carefully selected by Herradura’s Brand Ambassador, Nicci Stringfellow.
