Haagen-Dazs is celebrating its partnership with Wimbledon with a limited edition Strawberries & Cream Stick Bar.

We were invited to the WTA Pre-Wimbledon party to try the new ice-cream from Haagen-Dazs, where we began with a talk from Professor Barry C. Smith, who explained to us why strawberries, cream and chocolate is such a classic combination that has really stood the test of time.

We were then invited to pick a fresh strawberry from a wall of strawberries to remind ourselves of that sweet, fresh taste of perfectly ripe strawberries is like – Wimbledon is, after all, the ideal time for eating strawberries at their best. Next, we dipped our strawberries in a pot of Haagen-Dazs chocolate – and they really were a match made in heaven.

Then, onto the main show – deliciously light and creamy ice-cream, with fresh and fragrant strawberries running through, encased in a crisp layer of milk chocolate. A classic combination, but a delicious one – somethings don’t need fixing.

The bespoke limited edition Strawberries & Cream Stick Bar will be available exclusively at Selfridges and on-site at Wimbledon for the duration of The Championships, RRP £4.
