Yes it’s time to pretend to be Scottish again as Burns Night is with us once more on Wednesday, 25th January. Here’s where to eat the beastie.
Craft London and Stevie Parle are teaming up with the award-winning boutique Scotch whisky maker Compass Box to celebrate Burns Night this year. It wouldn’t be Burns Night without haggis, neeps and tatties and Craft London’s menu is no exception.
Stevie and Head Chef Anna Cortez have created a bespoke four-course menu which includes a carefully chosen Scotch whisky – in a variety of servings – with each course, costing £48.00 per person.
From 7pm, Plum + Spilt Milk will host a celebratory Burns Night dinner, marking the birth of Scotland’s national poet Robert Burns.
For one night only, the modern British restaurant will present a Scottish Burns Supper complemented by Dalmore Whiskies and ceremonially piping by a bagpiper. The four course menu, created by Chef Director Mark Sargeant, is priced at £70 per person. Kilts are not compulsory but encouraged.

The restaurants in Covent Garden and Gracechurch Street are offering a Burns Night menu of three courses and a dram of Glenfiddich 15-year-old single malt Scotch whisky for just £24.95 on Wednesday, 25th January.
The traditional Scottish piper will entertain diners by playing as haggis is bought to the table. The piper will then recite Robert Burns’ “Address to a Haggis†poem before the theatrical cutting of the haggis with a ceremonial knife.
London’s oldest whisky shop will play host to a lively Burns Night shindig on Wednesday 25th January with haggis cocktails and free whisky drams. Burns Night may be all about tradition but Milroy’s bartenders have created a special cocktail for the night using a relative newcomer on the whisky block, R&B Distillers’ Raasay While We Wait.
The cocktail will be a peppery play on the classic ‘Bobby Burns’ and has been inspired by the spices used in haggis. For the inquisitive reveller, there will also be a chance to preview a free sample of the second batch of this lightly peaty single malt to toast to the haggis
This annual Burns Night menu is a much-anticipated event for Londoners looking to mark the age-old Scottish celebration in the capital. This year Director of Food Mark Hix and newly appointed Restaurant Manager, Markus Savage will present a feast of traditional Burns Night dishes given a brand new Hix twist.
This event also marks the birth of’Mark and Markus evenings’ where guests will be treated to a night of ultimate dining hosted by the two gentleman.
The evening will start with a wee dram in the Glenmorangie Library, a special’pop up’ created to celebrate this famous Scottish tipple.
The Burns Night menu will feature Scottish classics such as Black Face haggis with bashed neeps alongside a Laphproig single malt, followed by Kingairloch red deer Wellington with braised red cabbage and stovies. For dessert, a dropped scone with poached rhubarb and whisky cream will be served.
Jason Atherton’s Pollen Street Social
Jason Atherton’s Michelin-starred Pollen Street Social has long been a champion of the finest, seasonal Scottish produce, making the restaurant the perfect location for Burns Night celebrations. Delicacies such as Gairloch langoustine and Eyemouth crab salad grace the a la carte menu, while the traditional Burns Night fare of haggis, neeps and tatties can be enjoyed by guests opting for the eight-course tasting menu, offering a Michelin-starred taste of Scotland in the heart of London.
Bistrot de Luxe are celebrating Burns with a special five-course menu including Cock-a-leekie; Pithivier of partridge; haggis, neeps and tatties; Scottish crumpets with Isle of Mull cheddar; and Clootie pudding.
Priced at £49 per person, the evening will begin at 7pm, and will include a whisky cocktail on arrival as well as coffee and handmade chocolates to finish. A traditional Scottish piper will commence proceedings.
The Drift bar and restaurant
An alternative to revellers looking for a twist on the norm is a Scotchtail paired supperclub. Throughout the evening traditional cocktails, including the Espresso Martini, Moscow Mule and even a Champagne Cocktail, will get a Highland twist.
These #Scotchtails will be served and enjoyed in place of the classic neat dram, in toast to Robbie Burns.
Burns Night at Lancaster London
Lancaster London is offering an exclusive Burns Night set menu at the award-winning bar and restaurant, Island Grill.
In honour of the famous bard himself, guests will be able to enjoy canny culinary delights such as Cullen skink; Black Pudding Croquettes; Pan-fried fillet of Scottish Salmon, Glenmorangie fish cream, mussels and peas; and Haggis, neeps & tatties,watercress salad and red wine jus.
For diners with a sweet tooth, there will be a’braw’ Whisky Toffee Almond Tart with Drambuie Custard available, along with other desserts.
The Burns Night special set menu is priced at £15.50 for 2-courses, and £18.50 for 3-courses,
The menus can be enjoyed from Noon – 10.30pm.
