Global technology brand HONOR have partnered with Middle Eastern Vegetarian restaurant Bubala and Winter Love Island star Luke Mabbott, to keep the public entertained and healthy during lockdown.
Their last event aimed to combine delicious food and high-performance technology to help UK foodies stay connected, entertained and eating well while restaurants remain closed.
During the live cookalong, the public were taught how to make one of the restaurant’s most popular signature dishes, a tahini chocolate pot – see the list of ingredients and method below:
Tahini Chocolate Pot – Makes 4
Tahini caramel
100g sugar
40g tahini
15g butter
110ml cream
1 tbsp toasted sesame seeds
Big pinch sea salt
Heat sugar on a medium heat with 3 tbsp water until the colour of honey, turn to a low heat and continue cooking until the mixture turns a deep amber shade.
Remove from heat and add the remaining ingredients.
Divide between 4 ramekins, filling half way and refrigerate.
Chocolate ganache
100g dark chocolate, roughly chopped
250ml of double cream
1 orange peel
40g of muscovado sugar
Bring cream and sugar to the boil, stirring to ensure sugar is dissolved.
Strain and pour over chocolate.
Leave for 30 seconds and then whisk until silky smooth.
Pour the mix over the tahini caramel.
Garnish with sesame seeds and refrigerate.
