French Alps in Coq d’Argent
Coq d’Argent a French dining destination a short walk from Bank offers an escape to the French Alps at their winter terrace.
It’s Lodge d’Argent this winter. The 2023 installation draws inspiration from the spectacular snow-capped peaks of the French Alps, transporting guests to an iconic, immersive, Après-Ski experience.
The terrace boasts a captivating ‘ski lift’ photo hotspot, charming chalets available for dining and group bookings, alongside the exclusive Rémy Martin cocktail menu for guests to delight in, the of Rémy Martin will celebrate 300 years in 2024.
Coq d’Argent winter menu includes the 40 days dry aged Angus Hereford sirloin or Alan Barrow Brook Street Farm leg of lamb – each served with root vegetables, roast potatoes, Yorkshire pudding and red wine jus especially perfect for Sundays.
The new festive menu also features dishes such as Escargots, Saumon fumé, and Chevreuil, as well as a tender roast of Wild roe deer.
Winter Markets in Hawk’s Nest
The Hawk’s Nest has swapped its summer ferns and greenery for festive foliage and Christmas trees to welcome Londoners in its new cosy, covered, and heated garden terrace.
Located in the heart of Shepherd’s Bush Market, it offers a lineup of weekly quiz nights, ‘Marg & Marg’ happy hours, Christmas Makers Markets, wreath making and carol singing, as people take shelter from the cold to celebrate the festivities in the festoon-lit, cosy garden.
Tucked away underneath the railway arches, the 300-capacity heated garden is lit with festoon and fairy lights, offering a magical escape from the bustling capital this winter.
Offering the perfect, cosy winter vibe, guests can enjoy an incredible selection of wood-fired pizzas, from the Gozney oven.
Expect the infamous spicy Nduja & Chilli, a white based Funghi pizza drizzled in a Balsamic glaze, and the indulgent Four Cheese, with limited-edition, seasonal specials expected throughout November and December.
On Monday – Friday, those who head down before 7pm can also enjoy the Margarita Deal – a margherita pizza and margarita cocktail for £12.50.
For the festive season the team has created a limited-edition ‘Salted Caramel Smoky Old Fashioned’ alongside cups of steaming mulled wine.
Throughout the winter months, guests can enjoy the weekly Quiz Night every Tuesday hosted by comedian Jamie Allerton with a £150 bar tab prize for the winner every week, as well as live DJs every Friday and Saturday night.
In December, The Hawk’s Nest is also hosting a series of Christmas Makers Markets (3rd, 10th, 17th December), where local brands will be selling an assortment of lovely affordable gifts, perfect for gifting friends and family this Christmas, as well as wreath making workshops and carol singing.
Nordic Igloos at Aviary Rooftop and Wagtail
Aviary and Wagtail have officially launched their enchanting Nordic Nights Winter Terraces and private Igloos, in partnerships with Grey Goose Vodka.
As the name suggests Aviary Rooftop is an aviary inspired restaurant and bar with a terrace offering panoramic views over the city of London.
The restaurant is based on the 10th floor above the Montcalm Royal London House Hotel with entrances from Finsbury Square and Worship St.
While Wagtail is a fine dining restaurant right by the Moorgate station. The restaurant features two private terraces and 360 view over London.
Both Rooftop Bars have transformed their sky-high spaces into a wintery oasis that will transport guests to a world of Nordic charm.
Guests can escape to the winter-inspired wonderlands with cosy igloos, built in heating and light projections that resemble the Northern Lights, against a backdrop of breathtaking views of the city skyline.
Sip on fine, limited edition Grey Goose vodka cocktails, such as the Merry Dancer, a refreshing mix of Grey Goose vodka, blackberry liquor, lemon and a splash of champagne, or the Aurora featuring brilliant hues of Grey Goose vodka, Aperol, strawberry liqueur, passion fruit and pineapple.
The cocktails are accompanied by a delectable selection of Nordic inspired bites, for an evening of true wintery indulgence.
