Thunderbird Fried Chicken and Rosa’s Thai have joined flavour forces to bring you the ultimate in chicken wings – the Thaimarind Wing!

Thunderbird Fried Chicken, who operate six Central London sites alongside an exclusive franchise agreement with Parkdean Resorts, have partnered up with Rosa’s Thai, the London-born 40-site nationwide brand of neighbourhood Thai restaurants.

Thunderbird Fried Chicken’s ‘Frientific’ founder Matt Harris has taken Rosa’s Thai’s co-founder, Saiphin Moore’s renowned tamarind sauce and zig-zagged it’s sweet, tangy and spicy flavours over their award-winging wings (Wing Fest UK, multiple years), then sprinkled some crispy onions, coriander and toasted sesame seeds over the top.

Rosa’s Thai tamarind sauce, made from the tangy, sweet and sour pulp of this tropical fruit, will be very familiar to their millions of regular guests – it’s gone into every single Pad Thai served at Rosa’s Thai since 2008, selling over a million dishes!

What makes it even more special is that it exclusively uses tamarind grown in the Petchabun province where Saiphin is from.

Meanwhile, Matt’s scientific approach to food and flavours (think Heston Blumenthal) stems from his origins as a racing car driver where his days were filled with maths, science and engineering, as each car was finely tuned to perfection.

Applying this exacting behaviour to his love of fried chicken he’s fine tuned the flavours of Thunderbird Fried Chicken and Rosa’s Thai to bring you the Thaimarind Wing.

The craveable Thaimarind wing will be available at all Thunderbird Fried Chicken sites from 18th September for 3 months.
