In November, M is offering a £50 three-course menu, featuring beloved classics such as the iconic Smoked Wagyu Tartare and fan-favourite, succulent Iberico Pork.

M Restaurant, the grand dame of Threadneedle Street, proudly celebrates its 10th anniversary this November with the launch of its special Heirloom menu.

This limited-time menu honours a decade of culinary excellence by bringing back some of M’s iconic dishes for a nostalgic dining experience at a fantastic price.

Founded in 2014, M quickly became a cornerstone of modern fine dining in the City of London. Over the past ten years, M has built a reputation for bold flavours inspired by international cuisine, serving the world’s best beef, always underwritten by an unwavering commitment to sustainability.

As M celebrates this milestone, the restaurant invites guests to experience its rich culinary history through the Heirloom menu, available till end of November. For £50, guests can enjoy a carefully curated greatest hits selection of starters, mains and desserts.

The three-course menu, crafted by Culinary Director Mike Reid, is a reflection of M’s evolution over the years. Each dish on the menu revisits key moments in the restaurant’s journey, combining modern techniques with the beloved ingredients that have come to define M’s signature style.

This menu is a tribute to the standout dishes that have come to define M, reflecting its dedication to culinary innovation. Each dish carries its own narrative, giving the guests a chance to revisit the flavours that have shaped our identity.

The new heirloom menu features starters like Tuna Tataki and Smoked Wagyu Tartare alongside a refreshing Smoked Beetroot Salad.

The wagyu tartare comes beautifully presented under a glass cloche keeping the apple wood smoke trapped and infusing the tartare. Once uncovered it’s sprinkled with ethical foie gras from the UK.

Unlike the French the ducks and geese are not force fed for foie gras, instead they are free to indulge on food and roam freely with outdoor access.

The tartare is stunning with rich umami flavours and fresh zesty slices of apple for a crisp bite.

For mains, highlights include M’s famous Iberico Pork and a Sirloin Steak with Parisian Green Sauce, or a vegetarian Charred Cauliflower Steak.

The Iberico pork has tender meat with a spiced side to it thanks to kimchi. It comes with fresh pear to offset the spice and wasabi leaves for peppery notes.

The cauliflower steak is a surprise for me, although I enjoy an occasional  cauliflower cooked al dente on the side of the meat or fish I rarely have it as a main.

I’m aware of the cauliflower steaks rising popularity in recent years but now I see why.

It’s actually quite delicious flamed with smokey notes and a nice bite to it,  the sweet purple potato puree is an excellent creamy addition to it.

Whenever I’m at M I always have the Snickers for dessert, you can’t miss it. Although I was always a dark chocolate girl even when little.

The only milk chocolate I would eat was in the form of Snickers. There is something special about the combination of caramel, crunchy roasted peanuts and nougat covered in chocolate.

Curios I ask Mike about his inspirations behind creating `Snickers` and M Apple Pie. And it lies in his childhood. His favourite chocolate bar was snickers so he sought to create a similar flavour but with finer ingredients and using higher percentage of cacao.

Mcdonalds apple pie was his favourite at university and like with the snickers he perfected it using finer ingredients and better cooking methods.

The ‘Snickers’ comes served with Dulce de Leche Ice Cream and peanut snow, while the comforting deep-fried M Apple Pie is paired with clotted cream ice cream.

M Restaurant is more on the finer dining scene, which can be pricey to visit on regular basis but the £50 Heirloom menu gives a perfect excuse to do so without feeling guilty for the wallet.
