Toba, the contemporary Indonesian restaurant in St. James’s Market launches its new Sunday Brunch menu this March.
Toba’s Chef-owner Pino Sinaga wants to introduce Londoners to the rich cultural heritage of the Indonesian Archipelago with its regional diversity and vibrant flavours. Chef Pino’s new Sunday Brunch menu offers hearty, substantial dishes best enjoyed at a leisurely pace with family or friends, as is traditional in Indonesia.

Indonesia’s favourite brunch dish, Mie Ayam Kampung (Egg noodles in seasoned sauce topped with diced chicken, meatballs and crispy wanton) is here, while regional West Javan specials include Bubur Ayam (rice porridge with shredded chicken, fried soybeans, fried dough and crackers) and Siomay Bandung (steamed fish dumplings with
potatoes, tofu, egg and cabbage, peanut sauce).
Toba’s signature dishes Rendang and Gulai Kambing (lamb shank curry) are also available alongside Toba-style Beef oxtail soup. Vegetarians and vegans can try Mie Tek Tek Jawa fried noodles or Toba’s take on Nasi Goreng, both of which come with tempeh and tofu.
Toba’s Indonesian Sunday Brunch is available from 11.30am to 3pm on Sundays only.

Chef Pino’s specialty coffee shop, Bija is opposite the restaurant. Named after the Sanskritword for “seed”, Bija showcases quality coffee beans sourced from Indonesia’s most renowned coffee regions and roasted in partnership with a roastery in the UK.
As well as classics, Bija serves traditional Indonesian kopi tubruk coffee (unfiltered). Similarly, authentic Indonesian cakes such as Surabaya layer cake feature alongside pastries and light bites.
