London’s latest Thai restaurant, Ora, and the City Jazz group, invite music lovers to end their weekend in style with a series of Sunday evening jazz nights.
Executive chef Tamas Khan has created a special three-course menu of innovative Thai dishes for the Ora Jazz Festival, on offer for four consecutive Sundays (20th and 27th March and 3rd and 10th April) from 6:30pm – 10:30pm.
Starters include Tod Mun Pu (crab cakes with plum sauce) or Kanom Jeeb Sai Moo (homemade pork dumplings with roasted garlic and balsamic glaze). Mains include Moo Krob Pad Praew Warn (crispy pork sautéed with cucumber, pineapple and lychees in sweet-sour sauce) to Ped Yang Nam Makam (grilled duck breast with a sweet and spicy tamarind sauce) all served with Jasmine rice. For a finish, try a Ponlamai Ruam (exotic fresh fruit salad with orange-flavoured liqueur and vanilla sauce).
During your meal, City Jazz saxophonist Sam Sharp will entertain alongside a different guest musician each week, treating diners to a mix of classical and contemporary jazz. With three-courses for just £25 per person and the chance to hear some of the finest live jazz in the capital it offers great value for money.
Sleek and modern, combining flashes of hot pink against a soft grey background with hanging glass light installations and striking candelabras to set the mood, Ora is London’s latest addition to the growing contemporary Thai offering in the capital. Located on a quiet street tucked away from the chaos of nearby Oxford Circus, it’s already proving to be a favourite celebrity haunt.
One lucky diner will also have the chance win a dream holiday to Thailand. Complete the entry form or leave a business card after you dine to be in with a chance of winning a trip for you and a friend to the Mido Hotel in central Bangkok, including return flights courtesy of EVA Air.
