Mexican restaurant Chilango is launching a second site in Islington following the success of the Fleet Street restaurant in October last year prompting queues down Fleet Street. Chilango, Upper Street will open to a similar fanfare on 28th February 2009 , offering free burritos to each and every customer and entertaining the Islington masses with live Mexican music, Corona beers and general Mexican merriment. Chilango is the brainchild of joint owners, Eric Partaker and Dan Houghton who, determined to improve the choice of Mexican restaurants in the capital, embarked on a two year tour of Mexico and North America to discover authentic recipes and fabulous flavours. The result is burritos, tacos and salads made using the very best ingredients.
